The Braxton Rebellion was a rebellion within the Kingdom of Lucerne that take place during the Second Lucernian Civil War when House Braxton rebelled forcing a very violent response from the William loyalists in the area.

As a result of the conversation between Franklin, and Tadrin during the negotiations to end the Rebellion it was Tadrin Braxton that revealed the location of Dontell Otriveghel which led to Sunilda Turnau leading a group to find and locate Dontell.

The only surviving member of the Braxton Rebellion leadership would be Mathilde Ratzinger of whom had discovered the intent of Franklin Brent just before they were to surrender and had tried to lead herself and her husband out of the castle but when it became clear they were going to be caught it was Oscar that gave himself up so that Mathilde could escape and she thus went through the portal she had created arriving at Berne and devastated.

The Braxton Rebellion would be notable in that it was extremely short with the rebellion all but ending the moment the forces of Franklin Brent IV. arrived, but it also marked the start of a doctrine by William where in rebels were treated brutally if they did not stand down before fighting was required. The violence done to the rebel leadership following their surrender would lead to Franklin Brent IV. gaining the nickname the butcher of Cadagen of which would stick on him wherever he went in the Westerlands.

The rebels would end their plan to execute the leadership of House Greymane following the meeting with Franklin Brent and thus in the night they would retreat with their forces out of Hillsbrad returning to Cadagen where they believed they could hold out while they negotiated a peace treaty bringing them back into the fold.
