Bur-Larra Toran is the daughter of Barim-Zain Toran, and Salla-Zanna Toran making her a member of House Toran. Larra Toran has two siblings in the form of Nienor, and Bur-Daira of which her brother Nienor is one of the top commanders of the border castle of Toran Castle, while her sister Bur-Daira lives at the court in Umbar and is a constant member of the aristocrats there and has a growing influence. Larra Toran was married briefly to a rich noble from Umbar, but he was killed during the events of the Short Story the Broken Border and she would be taken prisoner by the Gondorians.

Larra Toran was born into the extremely nationiolisic House Toran and was the third child of her father making her perhaps the least important of his children. During her youth she would at first crave for her parents love, but after this behavior was beaten out of her she came to hide her sensitivity and instead made herself into the ideal third daughter. When Larra Toran was fifteen she would travel into the lands of Gondor with several of her friends and they would eventually make their way into the city of Bree. Her time in Bree would shape her love for Gondor, and when she returned to Umbar she would convinse her father into sending her to Dol Amroth to the university there while she awaited her father to find her a husband. She would spend the next two years of her life in Belfalas where she would become a student under illivian Grourg of whom was known as a member of the Faithful of whom were members of the old Kingdom of Gondor who remained loyal to Gondor even after the Civil War left them enemies. Under his teutolage she would become even further a believer in what Gondor stood for, and she wished to be able to become a part of the Kingdom of Gondor and see it the way she believed it could be. Her father would try constantly to find her a match in marriage, and when she was seventeen her first oppurtunity arose when she was married in a rushed ceremony to Var-Azunion Lodius of House Lodius. Her first meeting with him after their wedding was a bad first meeting as he proved unable or atleast unwilling to even contimplate thinking of her, and he for the first months of their marriage used her body physically and gave her nothing emotionally except for minor beatings when she did something that he didn't like. He did send her to Umber for two months where he had her trained with several Hashadin in the capital, and when she returned she was significantly improved from the training she had done before. Larra would be left alone in the capital away from her husband when Azunion would captain an Umbar fleet boat on a trading mission to the far east in Cathay, and this mission was a hundred year contract and thus he should have brought her with him but his silent hatred for Larra led to him taking the contract and leaving her behind. Left behind by her husband she travelled back into Dol Amroth where she once again studied under Illivian Grourg and became increasingly knowledgeable as her schooling became endless. Azunion would not return at the end of his contract but Larra returned to Umbar as Illvian was forced out of Dol Amroth as the purge of Faithful loyalists pushed him out, and having returned to Umbar she discovered that her husband had taken another contract in Cathay and this time it was a two hundred and fifty year contract, and having already accepted their marriage as a sham Larra took on new interests during this time opening a small school in Umbar where she taught many noble children silently teaching them the way of the Faithful side of the Numenorian people. Only three weeks after returning from Umbar though she found herself with Var Azunion on a mission across the Gondor border, and they would be led directly into a trap they didn't know was coming after Ildarion Elessar grew suspisious of the quiet of the border and had several Great Eagles called from the capital and they would spot Larra and her husbands force cross the border. She would be the only surivivor of the ambush and she survived only after an arrow struck her in the head but deflected off her helmet and knocked her unconsious.

History[]

Early History[]

Larra Toran Small
"Early in life I had very little interest in exploration or becoming anything more then what my family wanted me to be."
-Larra Toran

Larra Toran was born into the extremely nationiolisic House Toran and was the third child of her father making her perhaps the least important of his children. During her youth she would at first crave for her parents love, but after this behavior was beaten out of her she came to hide her sensitivity and instead made herself into the ideal third daughter. During this time she grew close to her sister Daira of whom was two years older then she was, and was the beloved daughter that she was never treated like. Her relationship with her sister was a great contrast to the fact that she had a toxious relationship with her brother Nienor. At first her brother treated her with great care, but as he grew up and was trained amongst the palace gaurds he found himself and his gentlesness sucked away by the militaristic lifestyle that he was trained amongst. This led to his abandonment of her and the brother sister relationship that they had for a few years. As that deterioated she would become friends with several girls and boys that she met while she was hanging around the palace grounds with her mother. These other children were also members of the aristocracy of Umbar and in this way she became intertwined with several of the influencial families of the city including for a time Sarah Mason from Gondor.

Time in Gondor[]

Larra Toran Medium6
"Until I saw Bree I had never known anything but the contrasting of Umbar. In Umbar the streets were filled with the hopeless and the hungry, and what I saw in Bree was so far beyond it. The people there had a general happiness to them that I had never known before. I never wanted to leave, and it was only my friends dragging me from the city almost literaly that I would finally leave the city."
-Larra Toran

As her relationship with the others continued she watched the influence of Sarah Mason grow on the group, and she would become closer with Sarah Mason after she watched her be slapped by her husband Damon Bedroog, and she would comfort Sarah in the aftermath. She would be very supportive of Sarah as she was forced to watch as her husband lost the love for her as they were unable to produce a child. As she spent all this time with Sarah she would come to hear more and more about the life she had lived in Gondor, and this made her believe in Gondor more and more. Larra would during this time also come to know several of the members of House Bedroog including Castamir of whom was the overall leader of Umbar, and in this knowledge she came to be quite skeptical of his beliefs as she listened to him. As this continued the influence that Sarah wielded reached a point that she would convince many of the young aristocrats to go to Gondor and Larra would travel into the lands of Gondor with several of her friends and they would eventually make their way into the city of Bree.

Larra Toran Large5
"Bree was bustling with the sounds of people in motion. It was exactly as I had always wanted Umbar's markets to be, and yet the others seemed to carry little to none of the adoration that I did. As the others insulted the arrogance and shallowness of the Gondorians, I found myself basking in their ways and wanting nothing more then to be exactly like them."
-Larra Toran

Her time in Bree would shape her love for Gondor in that she truly came to love everything about the way the Gondorians of Bree lived their lives, and the way the city looked. She couldn't imagine a world where the people would prefer to live like they did in Umbar and not like the way they did in Bree. Her time in Bree would also add to her respect for Sarah Mason of whom she believed was still silently loyal to Gondor and was only pretending to believe in Umbar. She came to believe that what Sarah had told her while they were good friends in the beginning was the truth, and that what she was now saying were just a part of her growing cover, and her belief in this led her to not tell anyone about her belief in Gondor and to bury it. When she returned to Umbar she would convince her father into sending her to Dol Amroth to the university there while she awaited her father to find her a husband.

Dol Amroth[]

Illivian Groug
"Everyone knew that Dol Amroth was two things. Firstly it was an intellectual heartland that prided itself off of its learning and thinking. Secondly it longed to return to Gondor. Both of those truths would be perfect for the end goals I had in mind."
-Larra Toran

She would spend the next two years of her life in Belfalas where she would become a student under Illivian Grourg of whom was known as a member of the Faithful of whom were members of the old Kingdom of Gondor who remained loyal to Gondor even after the Civil War left them enemies. Under his tutelage she would become even further a believer in what Gondor stood for, and she wished to be able to become a part of the Kingdom of Gondor and see it the way she believed it could be. Illivian would introduce her to several other members of the Faithful of whom she would come to understand were far more powerful in Dol Amroth then it was led to be in the lands of Umbar. During her time in Dol Amroth she became best friends with Teri-Vinrin Reina of whom was the heir of House Reina making him the eventual leader of the most powerful non-Mordor aligned household in Dol Amroth, and as their friendship increased the both of them became only more fanatical in their belief in Gondor.

Marriage[]

Her father would try constantly to find her a match in marriage, and when she was seventeen her first opportunity arose when she was married in a rushed ceremony to Var-Azunion Lodius of House Lodius. Her first meeting with him after their wedding was a bad first meeting as he proved unable or at least unwilling to even contimplate thinking of her, and he for the first months of their marriage used her body physically and gave her nothing emotionally except for minor beatings when she did something that he didn't like.

Umbar[]

He did send her to Umber for two months where he had her trained with several Hashadin in the capital, and when she returned she was significantly improved from the training she had done before.

Century Contract[]

Larra would be left alone in the capital away from her husband when Azunion would captain an Umbar fleet boat on a trading mission to the far east in Cathay, and this mission was a hundred year contract and thus he should have brought her with him but his silent hatred for Larra led to him taking the contract and leaving her behind.

Return to Dol Amroth[]

Left behind by her husband she travelled back into Dol Amroth where she once again studied under Illivian Grourg and became increasingly knowledgeable as her schooling became endless.

Teaching[]

Azunion would not return at the end of his contract but Larra returned to Umbar as Illvian was forced out of Dol Amroth as the purge of Faithful loyalists pushed him out, and having returned to Umbar she discovered that her husband had taken another contract in Cathay and this time it was a two hundred and fifty year contract, and having already accepted their marriage as a sham Larra took on new interests during this time opening a small school in Umbar where she taught many noble children silently teaching them the way of the Faithful side of the Numenorian people.
