Castle Toralus is a castle located west of Boralus which controls the River Toralus and much of the surrounding area. Castle Toralus is personal seat of House Toralus of whom is a vassal of House Proudmoore thus leaving the castle within the personal demesne of House Proudmoore. Castle Toralus is dominated by the Goths of whom built the castle and thus the castle unlike much of Kul Tiras has no history with the previous Atlantian/Numenorian legacy of the island.
Castle Toralus would be first founded by early groups of Gothic arrivals onto the island of Kul Tiras and as the area had not really been used by the Atlantian/Numenorians it formed a Gothic dominated area, and during this time it had a wooden wall with a small moat. Castle Toralus would become the sight of Derek Proudmoore's exile following his affair with Larissa Caellin and the two spent several years in the castle where during this time it was Derek that spent considerable personal clout to upgrade the castle and the surrounding area as well as forming House Toralus as one of his most trusted supporters.
