Peter Scott

The Daniel-Peter Creek Confrontation was a near fight that took place between the forces loyal to Daniel Scott, and those forces loyal to Peter Scott. The Creek Confrontation was one of the first moments of the Daniel Scott Plot against Peter Scott and would set the stage for much of what was to come in this violent conflict between father and son.

The Creek Confronation would first come into planning on the night of the Tree Hill Feast of 5119 when a completely enraged Daniel Scott swore an oath to gain vengeance against his father and begin planning for this vengeance.

The Speech[]

Taylor is forced by Daniel Scott to follow him and does this despite the attempt by Hank James to go with her the guards stop Hank leaving Taylor to go with Daniel with none of her family to support her. Following Daniel, she is not taken back to the Keep as she expected but instead, they arrive at a barracks where Daniel quickly meets with a heavily armored man, and then after a brief conversation the man waves Daniel and the group inside. Entering the barracks she looks to Nathan, but his face is cold and distant, and this scares her even more. No one says a word as Daniel is given horses for the group, and then Ser Odotheus of Scott takes her and forces her onto a horse sitting behind, and without saddle. Traveling by horse they go through the streets of Tree Hill leaving through the eastern gatehouse and traveling on the road its Taylor that becomes more and more scared about what is happening. Her panic ends as they stop next to a small creek and make there way towards it. Getting off there horses its Daniel that picks Taylor off her horse and takes her by the arm leading her towards the creek. Taylor and Daniel now alone at the river creek have a conversation where she is made to see that Daniel wants her to become his agent of sorts. Daniel reveals that he let the men of Peter Scott discover that he was taking her from the city, and as they were speaking, he believed that Peter would be coming to stop what he had made them believe was his attempt to murder her. Giving her not much time to think she agrees as she wants to be with Nathan, but despite this wish he tells her that he needs to finish his plans before she and Nathan can be together in true marriage. Daniel successfully convinces her that he is sorry for the way he reacted to her, but he was ashamed and begs her for forgiveness of which she wrongly trusts his words and accepts his apology, coming into his service. The group all comes to the creeks edge together and a scene is laid out making it look like they were going to hang her, and with no other option but to accept this plan the group waits for Peter. Peter arrives minutes later and accompanied by several high-ranking nobles he moves to save Taylor from what he believes was an attempt to kill her. Peter and Daniel have their confrontation with Daniel challenging him to a duel, and just like Daniel expected his elderly father refuses this dual challenge leaving Edric Guntbold the heir of House Guntbold to become visibly disgusted at the weakness of Peter. Peter attempts briefly to arrest Daniel but when it become clear that this would lead to violence once more Peter is shown to be unwilling to go all the way and simply exiles Daniel from the city of Tree Hill. As Daniel’s group leaves its Taylor that goes with Peter’s group starting her role as a spy within the ranks of Peter’s inner circle.
