The Darkmore Succession Vote 5123 was a vote instigated by Harbart Darkmore in order to change the succession laws in the State of Darkmore from Gavelkind agnatic to Gavelkind Agnatic-Cognatic which would have allowed his daughter Amantha Darkmore to inherit House Darkmore as there were no suitable males in House Darkmore.

The Darkmore Succession Vote would finally be called by Harbart Darkmore in April after having travelled across the state and visiting his vassals he had determined that the vote would pass with a landslide vote and thus called the vote for July.12 and then returned to his seat at Duskenvale. After the calling of the vote it was Ephraim Black that was told of this by Johan Highdor of whom had a friendship with Ephraim Black and mentioned it in passing to Ephraim while visiting his friend and having learned of this oncoming vote Ephraim would make his move. Ephraim would gain control of the Dragonoph Temple of the State of Darkhaven after coming to learn of moral failings in the High Priest there in the form of Dietmar Rowohlt of whom he would begin to use to turn the entire state against Harbart Darkmore.
