House Hornwood

Donella Hornwood is the daughter of two members of House Manderly and thus a member of House Manderly. Donella Manderly would come to marry Halys Hornwood of whom she came to greatly respect for his kind personality but was forced to take control of the house as he wasn't the greatest of minds.

Donella Hornwood was born the first child of her father, and in her early life she became defined by her mutual hatred for her father. She and her father spent nearly her entire youth at eachother's throats and this led to a point when she was given away in marriage to her fathers friends son in House Hornwood. She would travel to the bordering lands of House Hornwood where she within a few years had given birth to a child and was the Matriarch of House Hornwood. In this position she came to love her husband, but was bogged down by the fact that he wasn't a leader of thoughts but a leader of men. So while she ran the lands of House Hornwood she watched silently as her children grew up without her knowing them the way their father knew them. Donella Hornwood would be present during the siege of Hornwood, and during this time she would be the main reason that her family didn`t intervene as she felt that they needed to wait till Domeric arrived. When Domeric was killed Donella took it extremely hard as she had been the force behind holding the vastly numerically superior forces of House Hornwood back, and thus allowing Domeric to be ambushed. She would be one of the Hornwood`s that swore and oath of revenge against several of the men present at the ambush of Domeric Bolten.
