Famagusta is a large city located on the east coast of Cyprus, where it stands as the second largest town of the island of Cyprus and the home of the powerful House Este dynasty. Famagusta is like the rest of the island of Cyprus dominated by the Cretans and only a large ruined temple in the north part of the port leaves any lasting memory of the once vibrant population of Turks who lived in the city for centuries before the invasion of the Cretans.

Once the sight of a large Zoroastrianism population under the control of the Turks the city would become completely Christian following the invasion of the Cretans with the Cretans followers of Roman Catholicism, but most recently would become the first conquest of the rising power of Isaac Conmenus's R'hllor army of whom converted the entire city to the worship of R'hllor.

Famagusta would be originally founded by the Turks of Cyprus of whom founded the city of Famagusta as Magusa which was the largest city of Cyprus under the control of Turkey. Famagusta would be the sight of the original invasion of the Cretans into Cyprus and following the Cretans victory the city would be renamed Famagusta and the Turks of the city were given no quarter with nearly the entire population put to the sword by the religious fanatics of the Cretans. Famagusta would become the site of the Famagusta R'hllor Riots when the forces of Isaac Conmenus supported by the Temple of R'hllor fought for contorl of Famagusta against the forces of House Este and the Roman Catholic Church  on the other side, and after months of fighting Isaac Conmenus would execute Stefanos Este and handing control of the city to House
