The Realm of Shiver is a very large Kingdom of sorts in the central part of the Tevinter Empire where it stands amid the mountains and works along with the Realm of Rivain, Kingdom of Neromeanian, Kingdom of Dore, and to stand as the center of the Atlantians in the Empire. The Realm of Shiver is dominated by the Atlantians of whom were able to protect themselves following the Downfall of Numeron due to the Kingdom of Dore to their south, and Realm of Rivain to their north and this mutual protection, and similar ethnicity has always made the center of Tevinter close diplomatically.
The Realm of Shiver was historically ruled over by the dynasty of House Umbreneria, and they ruled in peace and justice for thousands of years until the rise of the Death Eaters led to House Umbreneria being betrayed and nearly wiped out except for Daethis Umbreneria, and following their destruction they were replaced by the new dynasty of House Dunterian.
The Realm of Shiver would found itself following the Downfall of Numeron and during this time of upheaval they were able to stay quite stable due to being surrounded on all sides by strong Atlantian bases of power leaving them with little external threats, and ample time to spend growing their own base.
