House Whent is a large Brannish Household located on the Island of Maidenshore where they rule as a vassal of House Oakheart of the Riverlands from their seat of Whenenhall.
During the reign of House Piper as the Riverlord of the island of Maidenshore it would be House Goodbrooke supported by House Lothston, and House Whent that would rebel against House Piper leading to the capture of Pinkmaiden and House Goodbrooke becoming the new Riverlord of Maidenshore and the start of the rivalry between House Piper, and House Goodbrooke. Walter Whent would support his liege in House Goodbrooke in becoming Lucerne loyalists as the Kingdom of Lucerne moved into the region of the Riverlands and House Whent under Walter sent their top leadership to Riverrun to swear oaths to Lucerne. Walter Whent would lead the forces of House Whent into the Invasion of Westbridge where he would join the House Scott assault on the city of Braedin, and during this battle he would return to find bandits had overrun entire regions of Maidenshore.

 Olivia Wilde would heavily support her brother Andrik following the discovery of Andrik's best friend Ellisha Jennett being sexually abused by her own brother and uncle, and this would lead to the decision to turn against House Jennnett.
 The sexual molestation of Ellisha Jennett would become the centerpiece of the destruction of House Jennett as she was beloved by Andrik Wilde of whom turned the remainder of his family against House Jennett. Invasion of Fairmarket[]Main Article : Invasion of Fairmarket   The defence of Fairmarket was always going to be extremely difficult for the Jennett's but their hope was that if they held out long enough they would incite assistence from the Frey's and some of the Riverlanders who did not wish for annexation by Lucerne.
The leadership of Fairmarket was led by House Jennet of whom deployed their forces alongside nearly twenty thousand mercenaries hired from the Riverlands. While unreliable they gave them significant numbers and made a once easy invasion more of a problem. Eddard, Robb, and Brendan Starke led the forces of House Starke into the center of the attack. In the west Saiden, Darion, and other Scarlets led the attack but found that the forces of House Wilde and their vassals were reluctant to engage in actual conflict and were doing more retreating then anything elce. In the east the mercenarie forces of Fairmarket were joined by a small army sent from the Island of Frey of which were called freedom fighters but were sent by the Freys as an insult.   The collapse of both the eastern front, and the purposeful failure of the Wilde forces meant that the entire front was constantly in retreat for the forces of House Jennett.
With the weakest section of the Fairmarket forces standing on the eastern front, it was the objective of the Lucernians to target that area. Jamie Lannister would instigate a situation where the mercenaries would march during the day and then both armies would camp during the night both sides never exposing themselves. After five days of this the mercenaries and Freys were becoming less and less prepared for battle, and this was exploited on the sixth day when Jamie Lannister moved his men during the night. The Fairmarket forces noticed this and assembled their forces for battle, but their scouts were slacking and did not notice the divergence of the Lannister forces and focused on in front of them. While Jamie moved right at them two larger forces moved in from the sides and enveloped the Fairmarket force. After fighting for several minutes the Mercenaries accepted defeat and would surrender with little hold out fighting, while the Frey`s fled eastward back to the ships on the coast. News spread quickly but not quickly enough for the main Fairmarket force of whom was stuck in between the Starke`s and the Lannisters.  
While this was happening the Wilde family determined the time was right to change sides, and under the guidance of Olivia Wilde returned nearly all of their forces to Whellia. Back in Whellia Olivia Wilde would lead some two thousand men at arms and a hundred knights towards Fairmarket and behind all the fighting going on in the center. All of this went on while the Scarlet forces moved towards Whellia slowly as they feared they were being lured into a trap, and it was around this time that they were joined in the fight by the forces of House Lovie who were finally arriving in the area and brought overwhelming numbers. Olivia though arrived at Fairmarket, and without alerting the defenders of the Wilde turning on them would use Andrik Wilde to allow Olivia Wilde and the army of House Wilde to enter the city. Entering the city they turned on the Fairmarket forces, and burned and pillaged the town before massacring House Jennet, and taking nearly all the nobles prisoner. As this happened the forces of House Lannister arrived at the gates of Fairmarket joined by the well aware Saiden Scarlet and received the bodies of House Jennet as gifts. Saiden Scarlet would want to take the Wilde family prisoner, but Catherine Lovie had arrived and under the orders of William Lovie III. would command House Wilde spared and handed control of northern Fairmarket, while House Scarlet was given the south. Council of Riverrun[]Main Article : Treaty of Riverrun   Edmure Tully was headstrong in wanting to join with Lucerne.
When it came to the Riverlands the main power brokers were the most powerful house in the form of House Tully, the dominent northern house in the form of House Green, and the dominant southern house in House Blackwood. These three houses learned of the destruction of Fairmarket, and immediately the Tully`s made the decision to join Lucerne whatever was offered to them. House Blackwood would accept this as well, but many in the house wanted to resist for honor`s sake, but Brandyn Blackwood disagreed and invited the Lucernians to Raventree for a meeting. House Green led by Fadin Green was having difficulties in their north in fighting against the forces of the Deatheaters and thus was more then open to the idea of gaining a very important ally and thus in the spirit of gaining this ally Fadin would send his son and daughter to Fairmarket where they made their ideas clear. Unwilling to meet in a unknown venue such as Raventree the meeting took place in Riverrun. While this meeting was being formed it was House Keath one of the most powerful Riverlords who controlled the large Keath Islands in the southern Riverlands who go to the Lucernians at Fairmarket sending their heir and two daughters alongside several of their most powerful vassals in the form of House Butterwell, and House Vypros in order wot swear themselves into the Kingdom of Lucerne. Following the capture of Fairmarket Lord Tobben Keath would become horrified by the potential invasion of his own island and with this fear in mind he would send letters to the Lucernian forces now garrisoning Fairmarket and these letters opened up conversations about what swearing themselves to Lucerne would mean to them. The meeting in Riverrun would count in all the major houses of the Riverlands, and major elements from Lucerne including Catherine Lovie of whom led the Lovie delegation.
As the groups came together and met in order to arrange the alliance it would be a clear divide during the meetings about how House Tully, and most of the Riverlanders were very receptive to the words of Lucerne, with really only House Hantoway of the Western Islands of Hantoway, and secondly House Graege from the south western Islands of Greage providing any kind of resistance against the Kingdom of Lucerne's plans. Very similar to the current situation in the Riverlands it was decided that the Riverlands would become a Grand State of Lucerne with House Tully forming the Arch Lord of the Riverlands and gaining a seat at Lucerne, while the Riverlords would continue to be known as Riverlords but all fall within the Grand State of the Riverlands. Realizing that their resistance was going to mean little due to the agreement of House Tully, House Blackwood, House Keath, House Justman, House Goodbrooke, and House Lancer the leaders of House Hantoway, and House Graege would storm from the meeting to return to their seats with the belief that they would declare their independance from there. It was during this meeting that the true scope of what the Deatheaters were would become known to the Lucernians as led by the words of Seth Green the violence and chaos that had come with the arrival of the Deatheaters was detailed. Also during the meeting it was Harras Handlin that made the point of joining for the mutual protection of everyone against the increasing hostility of the Iron Islands of whom had started reaving against the lands of House Handlin as well as many other Riverland areas. Invasion of the Hantoway's[]Main Article : Invasion of Hantoway The moment that House Hantoway, and House Graege stormed from the meeting it was decided by the Lucernian counterparts of the meeting that there resistence had to be stomped out immediatly and this took the form of House Proudmoore, and House Scarlet and all of their forces taking a Kul Tiras fleet and invading the Island of Hantoway. When it came to dividing up the responsibilities of the attack on the lands of the Malfoy's it was House Scott that was obviously a part of the planning of the Invasion of Westbridge as they were a Lord House and Lucas Scott was very popular with the young King of Lucerne in William, despite the fact the two were estranged due to an argument between them when Lucas finally learned of Brooke Scott, and the King. While this planning hinged on several different sections the overall plan back in Lucerne was one that needed to all work together in connection in order to leave the path open for the main army of the King to engage Westbridge itself. Several houses would move against the outskirt castles, and towns south of Westbridge, while House Lovie and its vassals alongside others moved against the southern half of the Westbridge entrance. This meant that House Scott was required to take control over the invasion of the town of Breadin to the south east of Westbridge. The town of Braedin was the ancestral home of the large House Curtley, and as such it was heavily defended by the forces of House Curtley who despite their disloyalty to House Malfoy they were not willing to simply give in to outside pressure. This meant that House Scott when they left for the long trek north they prepared to siege the town, and its keep that the Order of the Green Dragon said was so heavily defended. House Scott left Tree Hill alongside their vassal houses and the sworn houses and made the long trek northward towards the village of Pomer. House Oakheart would send large forces under the command of Anakin Oakheart of whom was joined by his son Lucas Oakheart of whom was increasingly hateful towards his father for continuing to not get revenge for the death of Thomas Oakheart by Dan Scott, and Lucas was using this as a chance to build fame outside of his father in order to start his own cadet branch of the family with his sister Leah Oakheart, but was playing his father into believing he was trying to rebuild their relationship. During the times they were riding Lucas rode his horse beside Marvin Scott a man who despite being his cousin he barely had known and he came to find that the two had a lot in common, and they begin to build a true relationship.
When the Scott's were given command of the taking of Braedin William knew that with all the conflict between himself and the Scott's due to his affair with Brooke he would need someone to watch them, and thus he would recall his cousins from House Tyrell to Lucerne. It was decided that the majority of the forces of House Tyrell would follow the Scotts in the taking of the heavily populated and defended town of Braedin. Alongside assisting in the siege they would be placed in a position of watching Dan Scott in secret and seeing what manner of loyalty he showed during the campaign. Nearly four days into the trek he was greeted by the horse of Loras Tyrell riding up beside him, and the two of them came to ride together the rest of the way talking about random things. When they arrived they didn't join the main camp and instead passed west where they took control over the small village of Pomer where they left portions of House Faust to maintain its control and to make sure no one left the town and warned everyone else. Scouting the Keep[] 
Lucas Scott, and his cousin Marvin Scott were placed in a leadership role by William Lovie III. for the purposes of this siege and as such they took a small elite group of troops and during the middle of the night they went and surveyed the defenses of Breadin. When they reached the outskirts they were clearly able to see the true extent of the defenses, and realized quite quickly that the town was defended by what appeared to be a large keep that while it didn't surround the entire town it defended what must have been the House Curtley Estate alongside the center of the town. As they returned to camp and all the scouts begin to flood back they attempted to find the most simple way of taking the keep without taking horrendous casualties. Loras Tyrell advised that his scouts reported to him that the northern part of the town appeared to be undergoing some sort of construction and that he believed he could use this too his advantage and attack that section with House Tyrell and his sworn houses. While this was happening the entire castle had been surrounded, and thus Dan Scott would arrange for a parley with the members of House Curtley. Joining Dan in the meeting were the Patriarch's of the other vassals present and many of their heirs, while House Curtley sent their prince in the form of Barister Curtley II. and a few of the defense commanders to meet with them.
As they were leaving for the meeting it was the Tyrell's that revealed to several others the true directive of William Lovie III. through his own writing, but they worked hard to keep that they had revealed this truth so that they could do as William wanted and see if Dan would be loyal. Dan Scott would outline the terms of surrender, and made sure to note that William Lovie had said that they would retain control of Braedin but they would need to swear oaths of loyalty to the Kingdom of Lucerne. Dan Scott though would deviate heavily from the offer made by the King when he lied and said that a demand had also been made to allow a garrison of their castle until the conflict was over, and he did this directly in front of Dylan Tyrell of whom knew the true orders from William but remained silent. The last terms were obviously not acceptable to the prince, and so he regrettably rejected the surrender and prepared to return to the castle. As he was leaving he was told by Loras Tyrell that the Scotts had planned to have him captured and all his men killed. Hearing this just as he was leaving Barrister would return to Braedin with the belief that House Tyrell was on their side more then House Scott, and because of this it would affect the situation with Braedin. When Barrister Curtley II. returned to Braedin he met with the commanders and discussed how House Tyrell had told him that he was in danger and that only they had kept him from being killed.
The leadership of Braedin led by House Curtley became divided under the opinions of though's that wanted to speak to this House Tyrell and get them to accept the surrender of the city, while the other side wanted to basically fight to the death under the leadership of Varin Curtley. Barrister the heir of House Curtley said that he had talked openly with the prince of House Tyrell and that this young man appeared very much to want them to survive. Others would argue that Barrister was being used, and just didn't know that. The argument raged throughout the night, and Barister Curtley the Lord of the city remained passive until finally siding against his heir and deciding to fight hoping relief would come from Westbridge. His son was utterly shocked that his father had turned against him, and fled the room with several of his loyalists for the northern gate. Barrister when he arrived The Siege[]  Varin Curtley
With knowledge of how truly defended the town was they prepared for the siege the next day as they knew that was their time frame that they had to complete the siege and take control of the town. Lucas planned to have House Scott, and its Vassals move against the town from the south, while House Tyrell and its sworn houses moved against the northern side of the town. This plan was coupled with the silent constructions of his cousin Marin Scott who had constructed several secretive devices which he believed would allow the troops to enter the fortress unhindered from any fire that might come their way. These moveable siege towers were something he had devised while drawing and this would be the first time he had a chance to use them. As this was going on House Tyrell was already in position in the north, and thus was sitting waiting for what Mace hoped would be a message from House Curtley. While the north was peaceful the southern side which was defended by Varin Curtley was provoking the actions of House Scott. Varin had his men fire shots into the field in front of where the House Scott men were mobilizing, and blew his horns all night long to try and keep the preperations from being made. The Tyrells Move[] 
As the forces of House Scott moved their forces into position for an attack the following day, the forces of House Tyrell would move another plan into action. Mace Tyrell devised a plan where he would take control of the town through the relationship that he had built with the leadership of House Curtley, and his son Loras had played the game perfectly to the point that during the morning Barrister Curtley II. would sneak out of the northern gate and meet with the leadership of House Tyrell. The plan was for House Tyrell to enter the northern gate peacefully, and do this before House Scott sacked the city Barrister would lead the front echolons of House Tyrell into the gate, and they would move into the cities northern side at nearly the same time that House Scott made their attack on the southern gate. The Fall of Braedin[] 
As the forces of House Tyrell moved into Braedin the forces of House Scott moved against the southern gate completely unaware that fighting was happening on the southern wall. The forces of House Scott moved slowly across the field using their siege machines that blocked fire, and thought this was the reason for the lack of firepower against them, but instead it was because the southern gate was falling to House Tyrell. As they reached the gatehouse the gate door opened, and Mace Tyrell II. walked towards the machines letting them know that the battle was over. Dan Scott, and Mace Tyrell II. would nearly come to a duel, but Loras, and Lucas were able to calm the situation down, and losses were minimal outside of the defenders who lost significant numbers in the suprise attack by House Tyrell.   Padme Goodbrooke was the only remaining blood member of House Goodbrooke and with her survival the power of Maidenshore continued to rest with House Goodbrooke but if she was to die then the island would be up for grabs and House Piper would have the strongest case.
With the departure of a large portion of the forces of House Goodbrooke from the Island of Maidenshore to assist with the Invasion of Westbridge it was seen as an obvious move by House Piper to move against them as they were sending only a token force under Niclas Piper, but this would be forseen by House Tully of whom while preparing for the Invasion of Westbridge would send Beron Rivers the bastard son of Lord Edmure Tully to the island and he would go to Stoney Steppe and tell House Piper that if they to become involved in anything hostile against House Goodbrooke or the island then they would lose their title and be executed. With this threat in mind Kervis Piper would not be completely turned away from his chance at revenge as all he had left was Padme Goodbrooke and with her death House Goodbrooke was finished. Returning Allies[]Staying Alive[]Following the Advise of Oswell Lothston it would be Lucas Oakheart that would travel southward with his small personal forces through the Island of Maidenshore unlike the rest of House Oakheart and the House Scott forces who chose to travel by boat from Riverrun. Padme would become involved with Lucas Oakheart after he was injured defending his caravan while they were returning to the valley of Lucerne. She would be mistaken for a maid by Lucas and this led to him being more authentic with her then he might have been to a riverlord, and they would become close. After he got an infection in his wound many believed he would die, and Padme stayed by his side taking constant care of him, and this sealed the bond between the two. When he healed he begged her to come back with him to Tree Hill, and she told him who she was, and he was briefly mad but got over it and they once again rekindling their affections. Siege of Pinkmaiden[]Battle of Bridwel Hill[]Vitus would be defeated at the final battle of Bridwel Hill and following this defeat he would be sacrificed by his uncle and executed at Riverrun where despite chances to rat his family out he took their involvement to the grave and was executed without raising any proof despite being tortured at the end by House Blackwood. |
Ironborn Invasion of the Riverlands[]

Following the rise of Euron Greyjoy the Ironborn begin reaving the western lands again as Euron was attempting to sow chaos amongst the Lucernian allies and try to stop the flow of reinforcements into Bolten. Seeing the Riverlands as the great reserve yet untapped by the Kingdom of Lucerne Euron would send three large Reaving fleets to the Riverlands of which one was meant to feign an attack on Pinkmaiden, while the other two would divide into two fleets and with their large fleet they would reave the lands of House Justman, and House Lancer of whom were on the island of Rigen. On the island of Rigen the forces of House Lancer, and House Justman were the supreme powers of the island and both of them had spent generations not remembering the threat that the Ironborn poised to them, and thus their fleets remained anchored, and their military forces were lax in much of their preparation. In this state the Ironborn would move under the command of Stygg Tawney of whom led some two hundred ships against the port of Weldenvale, while his second in command Tom Tidewood would lead sixty ships against Castle Lancer, and the lands surrounding the castle. The plan was for Tom Tidewood to move south and attack the richer Lancer lands, while Stygg Tawney waited nearly three days before making his presence known, and then once he had he would delay any relief from the Justman's and thus allow Tom to escape with all the loot he could.
Stygg Tawney had brought some sixty of his ships as large Cogs, as they were planning to haul away a lot of goods, and materials from the island of Rigen. The mines of Lancer were one of the first places that Tom Tidewood would plan to hit, and Tom knew that the Lancer's had a relatively weakly defended hold fast near the mines that defended them, but he knew that he would be able to take it quite easily. Moving to land near Castle Lancer, he moved ashore with half his force, while the other half moved around the island to the site of the mines of Lancer where they would rush the small holdfast of Sturren Hold, and then from there take as much loot from the mines as they could. Tom Tidewood would quickly move ashore and lying before Sturren Hold the Ironborn would sack the town of Sturrenia of which they hung hundreds of bodies in the town square and looted everything they could get their hands on. Amongst the dead was the heir to House Stur in Wallen Stur of whom had attempted to bargain his son Gorold Stur back from the Ironborn who had taken him, but was instead murdered and hung before the Keep of which was one of the few places that didn't fall. Emly Stur (Emly Lancer) and her daughter Bethany Stur would be taken hostage alongside several other high nobles as the Ironborn sent these slaves back to the boats while they moved to attack Sturren Hold.  
Following the sack of Sturrenia the Ironborn would assault Sturren Hold of which had also not been alerted to the danger and was taken completely unaware. Fighting at the Hold would be bloody, and the defenders were able to close the gate briefly before it was retaken again, and the Ironborn flooded inside killing every man inside the Hold including the heir to House Lancer in the form of Arnell Lancer, and following his murder his wife Leven would become enraged and killed two Ironborn before she was shot through with a crossbow bolt. With the hold taken the Ironborn would ransack everything of value including using hundreds of prisoners to push carts of minerals to the cogs offshore, and taking hundreds of slaves from around the Hold. At this point Castle Lancer came under assault, but by complete luck the guards on the main gatehouse were able to close the gate, and set off the alarm, and following this the battle devolved into a siege of which the Ironborn could no win, as they didn't have the required tools to take the castle. After two days of the seige it became clear that the Ironborn couldn't assault them, and thus realizing that the Ironborn were simply delaying them, Arwood Lancer would lead a force of some three hundred cavalry out of the castle and move around the rear of the Ironborn forces, and seeing this the Ironborn pulled back and were harassed for hours as they retreated back to the boats. Arwood would stop the chase as he regrouped with some three hundred men at arms from the region who had arrived outside of Sturrenia where they entered the town to find much of it burned to the ground, and hundreds dead. Arwood would find his sister's husband and child hung outside of the main keep, and from survivors he learned that his sister and her one daughter had been taken captive by the Ironborn and had escaped by the boats with the rest of them.
With the attack on the Lancer lands underway the second and smaller force led by the overall leader Stygg Tawney would move the fleet outside of Weldenvale in order to alert the Justman forces they were there. Having heard of the attack on the Lancers from ravens they had been preparing to assist the Lancers, but seeing the Ironborn fleet and watching several Longships moving into the rivers they would end that plan, and instead prepare to attack the Ironborn fleet. Armory Justman would lead the Weldenvale Fleet that was some forty ships strong so was weaker then the Ironborn, but the Ironborn were less capable of fighting fleet actions, and thus the Weldenvale fleet spent two days attempting to draw them into battle, but the Ironborn continued to flee, and then on the third day they received word of the extent of the reaving in the south, and the fact that the Ironborn there had been able to escape, thus realizing reinforcements were coming the Weldenvale fleet returned to port and went into defensive action. Believing the assault would happen the next day the entire garrison was under high alert, but two days passed and nothing happened, and it was only when they received a raven from Lorderon saying the Ironborn had slipped through the Lorderon Pass that they realized they had been tricked the entire time. As the three Ironborn fleets moved through the Lorderon Pass the first fleet moved furthern north of Rigen and against the Island of Maidenshore where the forces of House Piper, and formally House Goodbrooke but following its near demise it would be dominated by House Oakheart of the Riverlands. |
