Jon Snow is the bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark, and Gresha Moseret of a small village east of Stormwind making him a bastard but still a member of House Starke through his father, and a member of House Moseret through his mother. Jon Snow has five siblings in the form of Robb, Arya, Sansa, Bran, and Rickon Starke of which Robb is the heir apparent of the house and is a brilliant fighter as well as a rising powerful commander of House Starke, his sister Arya is a tom boy that enjoys training in sword fighting more then stitching clothing, his sister Sansa would be married to Harrold Hardyng in the far west and has become the second most powerful lady in the new Grand State of Tristfall, his youngest brother Rickon is squring for House Baratheon where he is becoming quite the noted fighter and the spitting image of his older brother Robb, while his final sibling in Brann Starke is a noble knight of whom has been constantly forced to lead the Grand State of Winterfell due to the contant missions of his family leading them away.
Following the events of the Northern Campaign Jon Snow forms the Northern Swords of Winterfell of which is a knightly order founded by himself and his closest friends alongside other prominent members who went north with him. Despite acting as a Knightly Captain he continued to refuse to take on the surname of Starke as he does not feel deserving of the honor.
Jon Snow would be born the first child of Eddard Starke but was born the base born child of his father through a brief romantic relationship with Gresha Moseret, and thus at the time of his birth Jon took the surname of Snow as a base born child and was outside of the line of succession. Jon Snow would join his older brother Robb Stark in fighting in the Conflict with Gondor, and he fought valiantly to the point that his age of fourteen was completely ignored in favor his growing skill. Jon Snow would become the tool required by Catherine Lovie when she answered the call of the ancient Order of the Nights Watch of whom told her of a great danger that they needed assistance with. Jon Snow was thus sent in command of a detachment of Lucernian forces that entered the north and would become involved in the elements of the Frostfang. Falling in love with Ygritte while she was his prisoner he was eventually captured by the Wildlings of the area and forced to join with them where he would remain for a long time until he joined them in the Battle of Hadholme where the large Wildling city was wiped out and the Wildling clans fled into the wind to avoid destruction. Jon Snow badly wounded was taken back with the Nights Watch and thus was forced to leave behind Ygritte of whom he did not want to leave behind. Following the Battle of Hardholme the Nights Watch would be forced to remove all non-Stor forces causing Jon Snow to have to return to the Valley of Lucerne. Returning to Winterfell following his time in the North he would be haunted by what he saw and thus refused to stand still and joined his brother Edric who was rallying support for Gondor in the Rhunian province. Joining Edric he would travel to Minus Ithil where they would be present for the Second Battle of Minus Ithil where the Mordor forces defeated the defenses and opened the Pass of Minus Ithil. Jon Snow would be within the walls of Minas Ithil when the Triple alliance arrived at the city for the Third Battle of Minus Ithil and Jon would lead a cavalry charge against the retreating Mordor forces attempting to get back through the Pass of Ithil. Jon Snow would become the regent of Stormwind following the departure of the rest of the males of House Stormwind for the Invasion of Westbridge, and this would have been unimaginable under most other Houses who saw a bastard child as a public liability at best, and at worse something to be removed. This ignorance of tradition meant that Jon Snow was placed in charge of a large force of House Starke and ordered by his father to immediately move to Koenisburg and take command of the defense while other forces raced to the position as well. His role in Koenisburg was brilliantly played as he along with the other Lucernian leaders were able to bluff Ramsey Bolten into believing that they had immense numbers waiting for an attack on Koenisburg when in fact they had a token force defending the city. Jon Snow would pass of the command of the Starke forces to Robb Starke when he arrived and would depart with several of his companions including Benjen Starke to the north where he planned to find Ygritte again and make things better for her.
Jon Snow is the only POV Character during the short story The North and this details his quest into the north. He is also a POV Character during all three of the books making him alongside William Lovie III. one of the most common POV characters throughout the story.
Characteristics
Personality
Because Jon was raised by Ned Stark in Winterfell, Jon has adopted a clear moral compass and a true sense of honor, which he tries his hardest to abide by even when he must make a hard decision. He has always admired and idolized his father, but due to Catelyn Stark's cold disdain for Jon, Eddard was careful not to give him more attention than his lawful children by Catelyn.

Raid on Northerbourne
The Birth of Jon Snow I was fifteen years old Jon. I won't even now say that I made a mistake because your mother was kind, and sweet. She was not a mistake. What I did to Cat though was a mistake, and that it why my dear wife will never forgive either of us. |

Jon Snow was born the bastard child of Eddard Starke, and Gresha Moseret of which the two had never met before Eddard Starke reacted to a call for aid from the northern village with a heavy force from Winterfell. Eddard at this point was the heir to House Starke, and was recently engaged to Catelyn Tully of whom he had only briefly met up to this point, and with his father, and brother in Riverrun visiting with her family of whom they were contining to grow relations with even after Catelyn Tully had already arrived in Winterfell, it was Eddard Starke that was bound to lead a force to Northerbourne and help the village. Leaving Winterfell with his younger friends of which included many noble heirs from the Starke's vassals they would lead a force of some four hundred men from Winterfell leaving his younger brother Benjen the Lord of Winterfell before they left. Arriving at the town they found it under attack by a force of bandits and they fought their way through the bandits killing them until Eddard came upon the home of House Moseret one of the two noble houses of Northerbourne. Entering the house alongside Robert Baratheon, Howland Reed, and Randyll Tarly they would kill the several bandits within saving the Lord of House Moseret and a young girl the same age as the boys. Eddard having saved the family would prepare to leave but was clung to by the young girl and after attempts to dislodge her failed he sent the men alongside Lord Moseret into the village where they would finish the bandits. The girl clung to him for nearly an hour before she seemed to awake from the panic attack she had been having and apologized to him, but he had had grown attracted to her during this time, and silenced her apologies with a kiss. The two kissed briefly before Aemon Estermont would interrupt them and told him more bandits were incoming on the village. Eddard revealed to her the upcoming marriage he had with Catelyn, and the fact that nothing could come of them together before leaving, and he hoped that would end the temptation that she had sprung on him. Discovering the true plan of the bandits from one of the surviving bandits they learned that the true end game was to capture Ned Starke and as many of the noble heirs as they could, and then they would ransom them back to Winterfell.
The Starke forces spent the day preparing the defenses, as the bandits planned on ambushing them during the night as they didn't believe their plot would be known. During the night as the attack was moments from happening Gresha Moseret would seek out Eddard Starke and the two slept together, before they were separated by the arrival of the bandits. Defeating the bandits in a one sided fight he would seek out Gresha after the battle, and the two slept together one last time before awaking in the morning together he was told by Howland Reed that his father and brother had returned to Winterfell where they would be briefly honored for the victory before Ned was to marry Catelyn. Devastated that there time was over she would be strong, and tell him goodbye, and the two departed each other where he would go to Winterfell and marry Catelyn days after his arrival, and in terms of knowledge of his time with her no one outside of his closest friends ever knew about it, and none revealed it. It would be several months down the line that she would realize that she was pregnant and knowing her power hungry older brother she didn't tell anyone about her time with Eddard outside of her sister of whom she told in order to make sure he would be cared for in the case something happened to her.

Youth in Northerbourne
At an early age Jon lived with his mother in the small village of Northerbourne of which was located to the north of Winterfell and throughout his birth he was kept separate from the rest of House Moseret as his uncle Rodric Moseret was quite hateful towards his base born excistence and the fact that any chances to marry off Gresha had ended with his birth. With this attitude towards Jon Snow it was his mother that saved up money in secret and planned to use the money to finance the two getting their own small farm with farm hands and living for themselves, and throughout the early part of Jon's life the two had each other and despite how he was treated by his extended family he knew love from his mother. Gresha Moseret's happy life with her son Jon Snow would come an end when she became sick and at this time Jon was ten years old and with her health deteriorating the doctors gave her little time to live but Gresha would hold on for nearly a year and during this year she would tell Jon of his fathers identity and wrote a series of letters that once she passed Jon would bring to Eddard Starke which she hoped would be enough to make Eddard bring Jon into his family.
Coming to Stormwind

- “Seeing my mother that broken wasn't something I'd ever like to see again. On top of that I was being taken from the only world I'd ever known and being asked to live with a family I knew nothing about.”
- — Jon Sow
Gresha would make sure that Jon understood that Eddard was a great man and that the only reason that he was not in their lives was because she had kept his life a secret, and this did a lot to stem any resentment that Jon might have had for his father. As Gresha reached her final days she gave him the money that she had saved up and forced Jon to take a carriage ride to Stormwind where she hoped that Eddard would take Jon into his care, and knowing that her brother Rodric was not going to care for Jon she silently knew that this was his only chance. Jon refused to leave his mother, but later that day she passed away leaving Jon Snow alone in the only home he had ever known and when his uncle arrived and was cruel towards him he realized that he had to live for his mother and took the carriage ride to Stormwind. Taking the carriage ride to Stormwind the eleven year old Jon Snow wandered the streets until he was taken into the orphanage where she told them he needed to see Eddard Starke, and by his luck Eddard happened to be on that tier so he went to see him. Jon walked straight up to Eddard of whom was with his best friend Robert Baratheon and gave him the letter. Eddard paused before reading the letter and when he did read the letter he picked up Jon and hugged him. When he was done hugging him he carried Jon to the House Starke estate at the top level tier and once there he went about telling Catelyn about his son.
Adjustments
- “Life as a Lord's son was hard enough judging by the massive pressure that was placed on my brother Rob, but I think being the bastard Lord's son came with its own share of problems. Noteably the fact that it was customary to insult my bastard birth thus anyone that wanted to called me a bastard without any hope of reprecussions. My father and siblings always attempted to make me feel better, but it was times like that I just wanted my mother.”
- — Jon Snow
During the early times in Stormwind there was a lot of open conflict between Jon, and Eddard's wife Cateyln who did not like the fact that a child born through a women not her was living in the city as a child of Eddard Starke. This conflict led to Jon becoming saddened by the effect he was having on his family, but he became hardened to the insults of the people around him as he found solice in his half siblings and his father who never once made him feel unloved or not a part of his family.
Direwolves
- "It was a moment of clarity for the group of us. It would be the last moment for a long time that all the Starke boys were together and in this way I always remember it fondly even if I also remember what I was forced to do."
- -Eddard Starke
Bran is among a group of twenty men who witness Eddard dispense the king's justice to a deserter of the Starke Honor Guard, the first time Bran is allowed to accompany such a group. Lord Eddard questions the man briefly, and then Theon gives Eddard his Valyrian steel sword Ice. Jon Bran's bastard brother tells him to watch and not look away, and Bran watches as his father strikes off the man's head. The head lands by Theon, who laughs and kicks it away. Jon calls Theon an ass and compliments Bran on his poise during the execution. On the way back to Stormwind, Robb and Jon argue about whether the deserter died bravely. They race their horses, and Eddard comes up to speak to Bran. He asks if Bran knows why he executed the man himself. He explains that the First Men, of whom the Starks are descendents, believe that the man who pronounces the verdict should do the execution himself, lest he become too comfortable in ordering deaths. The Starks still hold to that principle.
- "The Direwolves changed our lives. Despite the fact that we didn't know it then everything after that would share a little of the moment that we decided to take them with us."
- -Bran Starke
Jon calls from up ahead, for them to come see what he and Robb have found. They find a corpse of a direwolf, as large as Bran's pony, Theon comments that direwolves have not been seen south of the Wall for two hundred years. Given that the direwolf is the sigil of the family and there are as many pups as the Stark children (even an albino runt for Jon), they take the pups with them. Bran and each of the other Stark siblings receives one of the young animals as a pet, but over time these will prove to be far more then just pets. Robb names his Grey Wind and Bran names his Summer, whilst Eddard's daughters Sansa and Arya name theirs Lady and Nymeria respectively. Eddard's youngest, three-year-old Rickon, names his Shaggydog. Unexpectedly, Jon finds a sixth pup lying separately nearby: an albino runt with white fur and red eyes. Jon claims this one, Ghost, for himself.
Lucernian Invasion of Gondor
Main Article : Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian
Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian One day you men will look back and ask yourself what the hell you did here. You attacked us while were fighting monsters. So much for the honor of the Dragons. |
---|
The Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian begin after an increasingly devolving James Lovie II. recieved word from Gondor that they needed help in fighting the Orcs on their eastern border. James would summon the council of Lucerne and reluctantly everyone outside of Forks came to the meeting but instead of proposing assistance to Gondor it was James that discussed his desire to attack and gain control of the Rhunian region of Gondor. Upon hearing this the Starke forces that were present would react with shock and resisted this heavily, but in this they were supported by none of the other members of the council who all have been successfully intimated by what everyone knows was James reaction to the last time the lords resisted him in the form of The Plague. When Eddard Starke continued to resist the wishes of James it was James Nighting and several guards who brought Rickon Starke, and Lyanna Starke and in front of the council Rickons life was threatened if Eddard did not agree to follow through. Unwilling to lose his son and sister it was Eddard that agreed to lead his forces in assaulting Gondor, and alongside Winterfell it was the Grand State of Castamere and several other prominent areas in the Valley that would be commanded to begin preperations for the assault on Rhunian. Eddard would remain behind after the rest of the council was sent away and it was made clear that Rickon, and Lyanna would remain in Lucerne and that if the Starke's did not make good on their word then not only would Rickon, and Lyanna be executed but the next council meeting would be about removing House Starke from their position.
While this was being planned it was James that was communicating with Gondor about his plans to support them in a push into Umbar to create a barrier between the two nations, and thus Gondor was moving troops to the Ethring region while Lucerne was moving troops to the Gondor border. Rhunian thus would have only its own forces, and a small amount of reserves from Gondor to defend it if the Lucernians attacked the land, but one element that the Lucernians had not anticiapted was the arrival of Tur-Eldarion Elessar a prince of Gondor who arrived in Langstrand to begin recruiting troops in Rhunian and this drive for recruitment would bring thousands of extra troops into Rhunian. When the Starke's did little more then send small outriders against northern Rhunian, and a contingent of Mormont men from Bear Island it was left to the Lannisters to actually instigate the conflict. Tywin, and Tygett Lannister would send hundreds of cavalry into central Rhunian against the villages along the border, and proceeded to ransack and pillage the entire area leading to at first confusion from Gondor who had signed alliance papers and had principally agreed on a mutual plan to attack Umbar. Gondorian diplomats were imprisoned in both Castamere and Winterfell and attempts to communicate were met with silence leading to a shocked Gondorian prince Tur-Eldarion to send word to the Gondor capital that was was now declared with Lucerne. Lannister Invasion of Langstrad
As the Gondorians were mobilizing it was the Lannisters who smashed into the western areas of Rhunian taking control of dozens of villages and putting four towns under siege. House Lannister moved their main army straight out of Lannistane alongside all of their vassals, and other houses and moved directly towards Langstrand. The Lannisters were led by Tywin Lannister of whom took complete charge of the siege of Langstrand, and then he sent his family members to take control of the various villages, and castles nearby. The defenders of Langstrand were offered quarter, but refused under the command of Haalbrad and demanded the Lucernians leave their lands or else face the consequences. The defenders were outnumbered, but Langstrand sat on the edge of water, and the river bed was shielded by cliffs which meant they could get some supplies inside, thus making the siege even longer. Invasion of TolhnenElements from Mander, and southern Castamere landed by boat in southern Rhunian and placed the town of Tolhnen under siege as well as spread out throughout the coastline of southern Rhunian attempting to gain control of the entire southern coast. Sack of TolhnenInvasion of TorginiathWith his brother Guntram still missing it was Arwin that took command of the House Jest forces during the Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian and his forces would launch a naval invasion of the port town of Minas Torginiath, but before he could reach the port he took part in a brief naval battle outside Torginiath where he sunk most of the Gondor navy. Having gained control of the port of Torginiath it was Arwin that situated his forces in a garrison position as per his commands from the Lannister high command, and prepared for any sort of invasion by the forces of mainland Gondor. During this garrison duty he would become close with the Admiral of the Torginiath naval forces in the form of Ka-Alisse Maethadis, and their friendship would allow for a more peaceful control of Torginiath as Alisse assisted him in controlling the city. Arwin would agree to Alisse's desire to travel to Tolhnen and try and save her brother and sent her there with three men, and before she left the two shared a kiss and promices of more for the two of them hung in the air as she left Torginiath for Tolhnen. Exodus of TorginiathThe men that Arwin had sent to accompany Alisse to Tolhnen returned and told him that she had been executed alongside hundreds of other innocents by the order of Alberich Grefford, as well as telling him that Alberich was on his way to Torginiath. Realizing what Alberich would do if he came to Torginiath he would take his ship and meet with Admiral Ka-Nethion Authion and would faciliate the exodus of hundreds of high ranking nobles out of Minas Torginiath by boat, and when Alberich arrived this exodus was almost complete and once again in his desire to continue his ethnic cleansing program it was Alberich who attempted to order a fight with the Gondor navy. This attempt was resisted by Arwin and once again Alberich prepared to fight a fellow Lucernian force, and this time there was no high ranking Lucernian commander to stop him and thus started the Skirmish At Torginiath. During the brief skirmish between the forces loyal to Arwin and those loylal to Alberich hundreds were killed but when the population of Torginiath came to the streets in support of Arwin it was Alberich that forced to flee the city leaving Arwin firmly in control of Torginiath. Invasion of AdrahilWith the Lannisters fully preparing to invade and once that war being declared it was the Starke's no matter what they wanted, and they massed all their vassals into the area now known as Arathor and prepared to attack into Central Rhunian and upwards, while the Lannisters already had mobilized were preparing to attack southern Rhunian, and upwards from there. It was this point that James Lovie would send forces from his own Circle of Magi of whom led by Kieth Schwartz, and accompanied by men from House Lerman under the command of Faedra Lerman, and Logan Lerman and these forces were sent to watch over the leadership of House Starke of whom James Lovie had no trust in. The strategy of House Starke though was for their forces to thrust against the large town of Adrahil, while there forces then moved against the villages north of Adrahil in an attempt to draw the Gondor soldiers into pitched battles that worked against them. They would be led by Eddard Starke, and Brandon Starke of which the two brothers would lead the siege of Adrahil. Gondorian Counter Attack
Following this the conflict escalated very quickly when despite the conflicts on the eastern half of their Kingdom the forces of Gondor moved significant forces to the western half against the forces of Stormwind. During this escalation the forces of House Lannister, and House Starke moved increasingly to the front, with both sides employing different strategies. House Lannister and its forces continued to move against the area around the large Gondor town of Langstrand which they had surrounded with forces, and moved a smaller force of more elite irregular troops led by many of their more elite forces to harass the lands south of Adrahil where the main thrust of House Starke was moving against. This strategy worked with both the forces assisted by a small detatchment sent from House Ordos. House Ordos sent an elite force of siege experts that assisted with both the siege of Langstrand, and Adrahil with both logistics and leadership for goals of the sieges. On the other side of the conflict was the defenders of Gondor of whom were led by Eldarion Elessar, his brother Ildarion, and their uncle Halbaard Elessar. The conflict in the east was dire, and thus Gondor was forced to rely on the two princes, and the forces they brought were relatively weak auxiliary forces from south western Gondor, and not the more battle hardened eastern troops. The forces of Gondor were obviously relying mainly on defenders made up of the forces of the two major towns Adrahil, and Langstrand and because of this they were in a lot of trouble when it came to the massive forces being brought to bear by Castamere, Winterfell, Mander, and Hillsbrad. The northern town of Adrahil was led by the two sons of the King, while Lanstrand was held by Halbaard Elessar making for serious leadership in the two towns. Hiding
It would be at this time that Liana Beyne would be nearly completely in love with Philip Prester by the time the two were fourteen and it was this love that led Philip to take drastic actions when his father sent him word about the invasion of Rhuthian. The word came in the form of several pages, and a man at arm in the form of Tristen of Feastfires of whom would take Philip aside and tell him he needed to come with them as the attack on Rhuthian was weeks away. Learning this he would in the dead of night sneak away from the sleeping Tristen of Feastfires and go to Liana's father Menagil Beyne of whom would assemble his family after hearing what Philip had to say, and would put complete faith in the young Philip Prester when he handed him over his two daughters for protection, and with only supplies and horses he sent them away from Castle Beyne for the west. Tristen of Feastfires would awaken and realizing quickly what had happened left the castle with little resistance from House Beyne of whom was happy to have him and his two squires gone. Philip would reach the Gondorian port town of Leghland where they found passage to Lucerne where shortly after arriving on shore they found a large encampment of Lucernian forces carrying the banner of House Starke. Going into the camp of House Starke Philip Prester would present himself to the Starke leadership of whom listened to him as he was the heir to a powerful house, and they would do the honorable thing when they sent him northward with Liana and Vellia to Winterfell. As the conflict neared its beginning his presence in Winterfell would become known when Tristen of Feastfires finally found his trail after weeks of looking, and would lie saying Tywin Lannister himself had summoned Philip, and with this command in place Philip would tearfully say goodbye for a time to Liana Beyne while traveling with Tristen to the forces of House Prester. Chasing the PrinceWhen he was given word that Ildarion Elessar had fled Adrahil and was moving south he sent his most trusted commander in his son Jaime Lannister north to chase him down with most of the heavy cavalry and the entire force of House Reyne that had come with House Lannister. Jaime Lannister would move quickly north, but was very careful to move his large force out of sight of any force that they saw and through this strategy he moved undetected through Gondor and begin stalking Ildarion Elessar and his force so that he could capture the prince before the Starke's got him. Jaime got close to Ildarion Elessar twice but both times Ildarion was able to meneaver himself away from the forces of Jaime Lannister, and escape. Either way the forces of Ildarion were basically reduced to running around for nearly a month as they were chased by Jaime Lannister and this left them unable to take part in any actual fighting.
While Jaime was searching for Ildarion Elessar his brother in Tyrion Lannister moved throughout the region between around Langstrand with a largely weakly equipped ground force and begin capturing the various castles, and forts that dotted this region. These forts, and castles were far weaker then they had ever been because the west was seen by Gondor as the area that they least needed to be worried about. Despite this though Tyrion had to deal with each of these defences of which the largest was the fort of Amon Hen of which was defended by six hundred men of Gondor and was perched on a cliff overlooking the valley around it. Tyrion would use great skill in traversing the valley around the fort which allowed him to sneak his forces to the depths surrounding the fort. The forces of Gondor in many places fought to the last man, but were clearly given some orders for larger garrisons to surrender and save their lives. In Amon Hen the defenders lost some three hundred troops in the suprise attack, but still held on for hours before they surrendered and were sent westward as prisoners. With Tyrion sacking castle after castle he finally had managed to block the eastern river approach into Langstrand thus closing the city off from supplies by the water, and thus making starving them out once more an option. The Chase Expands
Theon Greyjoy joined Robb Starke in a raiding party that was basically meant to harass, and capture large tracts of land in the hopes of getting the Gondorians to leave their fortifications and walk into traps north of Adrahil. While they did this Jon Snow led a smaller group of heavy cavalry against the villages of this area, and he slowly but surely became a sort of vangaurd for the larger cavalry force of Theon, and Robb. At this point with fighting breaking out all over the region the main army of Eddard Starke supported by House Baratheon and some logistics sent by House Ordos moved against the town of Adrahil and put the town completely under siege. Before they could get the entire town under siege though one of the brothers in Ildarion left the city from the west with a large force of heavy, and light cavalry and made his way south to defend Langstrad where the the city was more capable of falling quickly. With Adrahil under siege and the objective of starving the town out until it surrendered Eddard gave the command to begin the heavy harrasment in the north. House Mormont and the Bear Island troops would capture nearly all the mines, and livestock of the area and bring it westward, while the other Bear Island troops ransacked northern Rhunian and took the spoils into Lucerne. While this was happening the forces of House Tarly of whom commanded a large force would move eastward towards Lamedon, where they would arrive and thus block off the ability of Gondor to send any kind of supplies or reinforcements into the area. Randyll Tarly would hold two castles west of Lamedon, and despite attempts by the Lamedon troops to dislodge him, he was a master tactision and was unable to be removed.
Theon and Robb would command together a force of cavalary of which they used brilliantly and after raiding the village of Meadow's Grove they noticed a rather large group of Gondor soilders marching eastward and they immediatly begin following the group. After a full day of marching the Gondor forces set up camp inside a forest and they believed they had the night to rest before marching again. This was a large mistake, and the forces of Theon and Robb moved quickly to surround the camp. While they surrounded the camp the forces of Jon Snow moved against the only real chance of the Gondor force to be saved when they moved against a cavalry force led by one of the local commanders. In the coming Raid on Groilline Jon Snow would discover that Ildarion was with that camped force, and would send word to Robb about this, while Jamie Lannister was not told or made aware of any changes. Raid on Groiline
During the days of the war with Gondor, Jon Snow was tasked with a small unit of troops that he was tasked with raiding the northern farmlands in order to draw out the outstretched Gondor forces into the trap of the army of House Lannister, and House Starke. In Jon's role he would become aware of how outstretched the Gondor forces were when he chased a force of Gondor cavalry through the night and as he passed by the village of Groiline his scouts reported no defenders. His scouts informed him that the cavalry had no intention of stopping as they were moving eastwards towards Prince Ildarion of whom was being shadowed by both Robb Starke, and Jaime Lannister. Seeing this as an oppurtunity he would stop chasing the cavalry and would instead move his force to Groiline and capture the village, thus unknown to Ildarion Elessar and his forces the road west was free for them to go back through, but without knowing that they made camp that nigh with no knowledge they were trapped on all sides except one.
Ambush at Meadow's Grove
Robb immediatly engaged him in combat and on his own velition was able to defeat him only because he could tell that Ildarion was half dead from fatigue, and being unequipped with armor, or a shield. When Ildarion fell defeated the rest of the Gondor force was swiftly throwing down their weapons and surrendering leaving the full Starke force with a nearly complete victory. With Ildarion defeated Robb was egged on by Theon to kill him, and for a moment Robb contimplated listening to his friend but he then thought strategically and realized that if they had the prince they could basically ransom whatever they wanted from the Gondorians. With this in mind Robb decided instead of killing him he would instead take him in as a prisoner, and ordered the force to pull back to their original position with their now sixty prisoners along with the prince of Gondor. Prisoner
Robb Starke would pull his force back behind the lines, and there would set up a camp for all the prisoners they had captured and then sent word to his father about the capture of Ildarion, which would then spread like wildfire. When Eddard heard of this news he sent word to Eldarion in Adrahil of whom then sent word to Aragorn of this change in events. Aragorn had two options in front of him. The first option was to engage the Lucernians in a full pitched battle which he might lose, and if he didn't lose he would most likely lose on the east because of all the causualites. Or he surrendered most of the Gondor lands west of the River Rhine. In the end he would send word to Eldarion that their forces were going to surrender under the terms that all Gondor citizens, and forces be allowed free pass into Gondor, along with the return of Ildarion, and all prisoners. Bill Lovie would send word to Eddard that he was incoming to the camp that Eddard and Tywin Lannister were meeting, but when the letter came the servent that brought it told them that Bill planned to execute Ildarion on the spot.
Both commanders understood that if they did this it would mean all out war which was stupid since they could have all of this land with no bloodshed. Because of this they hid the note, and told the scout that the prisoners were already in transfer back to Gondor. With this information Bill Lovie would return to Lucerne instead of seeing the two Lords, and they both knew they had made an enemy that day. When this happened Ildarion was given word by Robb Starke that he was to be released along with all of his men. The two would discuss the coming world that they both lived in, and Robb Starke would gain a lot of respect for Ildarion, and the same would be true of Ildarion for Robb Starke. |

Jon Snow had done extremely well during the Gondor-Lucerne War and because of this it was his stock in the family that was rising alongside his best friends Tucker Jurny, and Samwell Tarly who both were noble born with Tucker a noble born boy of House Jurny, while Samwell was a rejected member but still a member of House Tarly. It was in this situation that the family would watch the departure of two its members in the form of Dallia and Edric Starke who traveled to Gondor in an attempt to assist Gondor against what was a massive encroachment against the Pass of Ithil by the Empire of Mordor. With Edric and Dallia gone it was another crisis that reached the court of Stormwind when a letter arrived for Eddard written by his viscount Maege Mormont asking for assistance. The letter detailed that south of the Arnor central town of Galheim was a cold land sheltered between mountains called Frostfang, and it was in this sheltered land that Marge's brother Jeor had traveled to years previous and was now asking for assistance from. The request for assistance was something that Eddard couldn't offer much support to but decided to send Jon Snow and his personal forces to Bear Island in order to find out what was happening. Eddard Starke would go to find his son following him reading the letter, and he found him spending time with his two other sons Brann, and Robb and seeing this warmed his heart considering how far the family had come from the bitterness they had about Jon only a few short years previous. He would send Brann away but Robb accompanied him and Jon into the hall where Brandon, and Benjen Starke waited alongside many other nobles of House Starke to plan the journey of Jon Snow and his force to Bear Island. During the meeting it was made clear that the little information they had been given left them nearly completely in the dark and thus it would be up to Jon to handle the information and decide how best to handle it once he arrived there. Eddard Starke gave Jon command of the forces he had used during the Gondor War, and let him know that he could take whatever other men he needed but he had to travel with a relatively small force. Jon would gather together a few extra men that he had come to know, and then after saying goodbye to his family he would travel eastward to Bear Island and find out what the issue was.
Arriving at Bear Island it was Jon and his party that would stay within the holdfast of Bearhold where they prepared to meet with Maege Mormont, who at the time was out hunting leaving her daughter Dacey Mormont in command of the city. Jon had met Dacey previously during the Gondor-Lucerne War and thus the two were able to get along quickly but there was silence on her part as she refused to speak of the mission her mother had requested help in. Waking in the morning to a knock on his door he follows Alysane Mormont and two Mormont guards to the Great Hall where upon arriving he finds Samwell waiting for him, and together with Alysane they both enter the hall. Inside they find Dacey, and Maege sitting at the table joined by several other Bear Island nobles. Maege doesn't speak as they sit down, she just continues eating the meal in front of her and this leaves Dacey to introduce Jon Snow to the other nobles who are shown as Halmen Woodfoot, and Derek Bearmant. Following this introduction its Dacey that begins reading the letter sent to Maege by her brother Joer Mormont. The letter details his need for assistance at the Southern Frostfang Wall where he stands as the Lord Commander of the Nights Watch. Unaware of what any of this means its Maege that finally begins speaking and tells Jon a story about the dangers the wall protects the world from, and how her family has always sent a member of its rank to the wall to help the Nights Watch. Samwell is skeptical of the dangers beyond the wall, but Maege brushes this aside and tells the group assembled that Jon will be leading a force to assist her brother in whatever he needs and realizing that his father gave him the power to ignore this request he asks for several hours to think on things. Maege smashes the table and storms from the room leaving Dacey to smoothj things over with Jon telling him that she will get him the time he needs, but for all the Mormont vassals they needed to be ready by the end of the day to leave. Jon leaves the hall with Samwell and goes to meet with his force who remains at the boat. Meeting with the force he tells them what he was told and most begin laughing but the laughter is stopped by Tobias of whom tells the group that Maege Mormont is not one for jokes. Tobias argues that if Maege is asking for this then they should not ignore the request, and his words turn several of the others leading to Jon also agreeing despite the resistance of Samwell. Jon and Tobias return to the great hall where they find servants and soldiers moving goods to a ship and finding Dacey they see that the group is leaving quicker than even it was said in the great hall. Jon agrees to go and Dacey thanks him, telling one of her knights to begin loading his boat with supplies for the journey northward. The Road
Leaving Bear Island, they made the trip by sea to their eventual stop at Storhold. The trip to Storhold was completely uneventful but during this trip the group would mingle during stops with the other boat which was filled with the men of House Mormont. During these stops they learned more about the dangers of the Frostfang mountains and what was once a simple task to complete became much riskier with each passing day. One of the main things they learned was from what Halmen Woodfoot tells them was a second letter that arrived at Bear Island but this letter was not shown by the Mormont's to Jon Snow. Halmen tells them that this letter detailed that the Kingdom of Storr the primary supporters of the Nights Watch were involved in an internal struggle and thus were at the time unable to help when the Wildlings inside the Frostfang mountains attacked the Wall. Arriving at Storhold the group would be given permission to travel to the Nights Watch by the Commander of the port, and then as they prepared to make their way to the Wall they were stopped by two men clothed in the armor of House Highmore, and one in the colors of House Martell or whom without saying a word passed a note to Jon Snow that said to meet them east of the town in the town of Stor. Forced due to the Highmores being vassals of House Lovie they would move to the town of Stor which was the capital of the Kingdom of Stor, and thus was heavily populated by the Storr. Jon would follow the notes command and traveled east to Stor where two days from the town they were greeted at their camp by the two men of House Lovie. The men introduced themselves as Harven Moore, Hedrin Tolhmave II., Cotter Highmore, and Domeric Highmore of whom had been sent to Storhold to assist Jon Snow in the mission. This group also had several men at arms with them with the Highmores bringing five men, the Moore's two, and the Tolhmaves bringing three. Cotter Highmore told Jon that the force from House Lovie had been sent by Carlisle Cullen with the purpose of gaining access to a Magical item known as the Shard of Erdillin. Realizing that his purpose there was quite different to the goals of the Lovie force he wanted to travel separately but it was Cotter that let him know that they would be joining him with or without his acceptance of them. Traveling through the lands of the Storr went without issue but upon arriving at border with the Nights Watch they were stopped at Long Lake where they were blocked on the road by a group of soldiers clothed in Black Robes. Led by Waylar Dalt the Nights Watch asked for the purpose of their business and giving the letter they had been sent by Joer Mormont calmed the Nights Watch who were obviously quite concerned about the arrival of more than five hundred foreign heavily armed troops at their border. Now escorted by the Nights Watch they entered what the Nights Watch called the Gift. The gift they said was land given to the Nights Watch by the King of ancient Stor so that they could provide for their mission protecting the Storr against the dangers of the North. Castle Black
As they entered Castle Black they were met by the Nights Watch Commander in the form of Joer Mormont of whom assigned several of his stewards to make a place for the Lucernian force to stay. While this was happening Joer had Samwell, and Jon accompany him to the Lord Commanders tower where he would discuss with them why he had called for assistance. Entering the tower, they go up many levels until they reach a floor with a large table and several men sitting down and realize this must be the meeting hall of sorts. Sitting them down Joer is pulled away by a Maester and leaves Jon and Samwell at the table with the three Nights watch who were already at the table. These men introduce themselves as Bowen Barsh, and Denys Bucknet of which Bowen explains he was a noble of Storr but as the third son he chose the honor of the Nights Watch to inheriting nothing from his family, while Denys Bucknet explains he was the fourth son of his noble family in Lombard to the east and joined for similar reasons. Jeor returns and tells Jon that he asked for help as the wall was coming under increasing threat from the Wildlings who live in the valley of Frostfang. Denys discusses a very large series of attacks against the wall led by a Wildling Ornrad Hornfoot. This battle known as the Second Ornrad Hornfoot Attack on the Wall which had managed to actually get Wildlings past the wall and they had sacked several villages in the Gift before being killed to a man near the Shadow Tower. Explaining that usually this would be a matter for the Kingdom of Storr or Kingdom of Lombard who have supported them he reveals that both are caught up in larger issues and that he needed immediate assistance. Joer details that the Lucernian force would help them to augment the defenses of the wall while the Storr and Lombard governments finished their issues. Jon though would take an elite force with Joer and travel with a small Night's Watch force accompanied as well by several knights from Storr to meet with a man named Craster. Joer would be travelling to Stor to push for more assistance from the Kingdom of Stor thus leaving Jon Snow to delay any issues in the Frostfang.
Following the departure of Joer Mormont it was Jon Snow and his commanders that would rest for a few days while the Nights Watch prepared their force to accompany the Lucernians, as well as awaited the arrival of the knights of Storr and whatever forces they sent. After several days the Storr Knights arrive in the form of two knights named Orland Glovelyn, and Anthor Stanlire of whom bring three hundred and fifty men with them. The arrival of Orland and Anthor changes the Nights Watch demenor as they become subservient to the Storr Knights and despite knowing that they are going into a dangerous area its Orland that refuses to cross the wall instead sending Anthor who is shown as the lower tier knight. Anthor takes thirty of the Storr men who join Jon’s force, and a group of two hundred Nights Watchmen led by First Ranger Dorin Orkwood. When the force traveled north through the tunnel below Castle Black, they headed towards the lands of Craster which from the power Jeor described this man having he assumed was a tiny little kingdom. When they arrived, Jon discovers that the keep is a large town that had the look of an expansive slums, and a large wooden holdfast situated in the center on a large hill. The plan is to meet with Craster so that they can gain his support in keeping the Wildlings from attacking the wall, although the Nights Watch accompanying them seem to feel this is a fool’s errand. For the part of the House Lovie contingent, they plan to use this time to find information on the location of the Shard of Erdillin. Entering Craster’s Keep they are met by groups of armed women who appear in rough armor and weapons, and these women Dorin warns are not to be spoken to by any of the men, and all agree to this except for Anthor who laughs at being constrained around savages. Craster's Keep
Most of the men are told to remain outside leaving only Jon Snow, Samwell, Dorin, and Anthor to enter the hall. Entering the hall of Craster’s keep they find the first man inside the holdfast and as Dorin shakes his hand they see this man as Craster. As the group sits down its Dorin that speaks first asking Craster what he knows of missing rangers who were said to have passed through his lands. Hearing this for the first time Jon just listens as Craster refuses to answer any questions before he receives his gifts. To get him to speak Dorin gives Craster his own sword, and when this isn’t enough Dorin gives him his shield which does the trick and Craster begins to speak. Craster tells them that a group of rangers did pass through his lands, but they left without incident. Craster does tell them that the rangers were planning on heading to the Fist of the First Men, and skeptical on why they would go there its Craster that reveals he had told the rangers that he heard a magical vault was located at the site. Craster ends the conversation, telling them they can stay in the lower grounds which are the houses outside the holdfast, and this nearly leads to violence when Anthor laughs at the request. Calming Craster down its Dorin that leads the group out of the hall and back into the homes outside the hall. Preparing the force to leave its Craster that comes outside and demands Jon come back inside speaking to him for the first time. Jon goes back in alone and entering the holdfast again its Craster that tells him he knows him to be a Starke which surprises Jon. Giving no further information he tells Jon that he is welcome to stay in the holdfast with some of his men, but the remainder of the force must leave immediately. Leaving the hall again he tells Dorin, Anthor, and Samwell about this and Dorin tells him to accept this but to keep an eye out for danger, and to learn what he can. Dorin and Anthor are going to lead the force northward to a place called the Fist of the First Men, and they will attempt to find out what the rangers were going to find there.
Samwell gathers the rest of Jon’s men who now enter the hold fast, while Jon is introduced to several women for the first time by Craster who calls them his wives before leaving them to direct him while he grabs a younger girl and leads her towards the tower beside the hall. The women would introduce themselves as Dyah, and Ferny and the two would show Jon and his men to one of the houses where they will stay. Arriving at the house they find several younger girls preparing the house and one of the girls bumps into Sam causing her to flee the house and Samwell to follow her. Jon and his group would stay in the keep for several days with each day Craster inviting him into his hall for a quick conversation, and then after asking him a few questions its Craster that sends him away. During their time there Jon's friend Sam would fall in love with the girl he had run after and introducing her to Jon she is called Gilly and unlike many of the other girls she is not plain but in fact quite beautiful. From the girl they learn more about what is happening in the area including the truth of why there are no boys in the holdfast. Gilly reveals that Craster is her father and all the girls at the holdfast are his daughters with him having lived for many normal lifetimes breeding with his own children. Hidden beneath the heavy furs it’s only Ginny revealing her stomach that Jon realizes she is pregnant. Samwell begs Jon to leave the holdfast and to take her with them, but Jon is unwilling to violate the agreement he has made with Craster despite the horror that he is committing on the people of the town. The next morning, he is awoken by the girl he had met the day before. Sam had told her Jon’s father is a king, and she pleads with Jon to take her and her unborn child to the king. She fears for the child’s life, and Jon learns that if it’s a boy, Craster will give it to the gods. When Jon asks what gods, Gilly elaborates 'the cold gods, the white shadows', and Jon knows that he needs to finally push Craster for answers. Jon tells her he can’t help her, and she runs off. Jon later confronts Sam, who tells him he thought they could help the girl when they returned from the north, but Jon tells him he was a fool. Following these confrontations its Jon that is summoned before Craster and before Craster can speak Jon demands to know why he is being given these conversations and what the white shadows are. Craster for the first time shows emotion and reveals some of the truth of things. Revealing that he has made a deal with a creature lying trapped beneath his tower, and the deal requires him to give the creature all the boys born of his line. In return for this the creature gives him complete resistance to age, and safety from what is coming. Jon begins to move towards the tower preparing to kill this creature but is stopped by Craster who shows Magi abilities. Craster tells Jon that if he wants to stop all this he needs to travel to the Tower of Frostfang, and it’s there he will find answers. Fist of the First Men
Lord Commander Mormont's men, and the Lucernians arrive at the Fist of the First Men, an ancient ringfort of the First Men during the Dawn Age, an old place that is strong with magic. It is also extremely defensible due to its position, Mormont decides they will camp there to await for Qhorin Halfhand and his men from the Shadow Tower and later he decides to wait at the Fist for the wildlings to emerge, as the only path they can take is down the Milkwater and past the Fist. Jon and the rest rides in but Ghost will not enter the fortified area of the Fist, despite Jon’s efforts. That night however, Ghost awakens Jon and beckons him to follow. The direwolf leads him to what appears a grave under the shadow of the Fist, but as Jon digs, he realizes that there is something buried there. Inside, he finds several daggers and arrowheads made of dragonglass, and an ancient warhorn. The cache appeared to be buried relatively recently, and it was wrapped in the cloak of a sworn brother of the Night's Watch. Moving North
Jon hears the call of a warhorn, one blast to signify brothers returning. Qhorin Halfhand has arrived, with 100 men from the Shadow Tower. Qhorin recognizes Jon, and tells him that he knew many Starkes in his own way. When Jon attempts to find out how he could know of Starkes he is told that he once visited Bolten on a trading mission and met the leader of House Karstark. The men from the Shadow Tower were delayed because they met Alfyn Crowkiller and his men who had been scouting along the Wall but had been attacked by the men of Magmar. They killed the wildling leader, but lost four men in the process. Later, Jon overhears dissent in the ranks as Chett and Lark the Sisterman speak of not going into the Frostfangs, no matter what the Old Bear orders. Jon had given the warhorn he had found to Sam, because it was cracked and he could get no sound from it, but Sam liked ancient items. Jon walks in and overhears Qhorin telling Mormont about a captive claiming that Magmar's forces had wargs and mammoths in his army. He also explains that the captive claims the wildlings plan to breach the Wall, not climb it or burrow beneath it. Qhorin tells them that Magmar is seeking something in the high, cold places of the Frostfangs, some power or artifact. Qhorin advises the Old Bear to send scouts into the mountains, and Mormont agrees. Jarmen Buckwell will take four men to climb the Giant's Stair, Thoren Smallwood will lead a party to probe the Milkwater, while Qhorin himself will lead a third party into the Skirling Pass. Qhorin immediately chooses Jon Snow as one of his five men, stating that The old gods are still strong beyond the Wall. The gods of the First Men…and the Starks.
As Qhorin Halfhand’s party moves through the Skirling Pass, they note watchers high up in the pass. Qhorin sends Callith Maller, Domeric and Jon to dispatch the watchers, and they were warned not to let them sound a horn. Callith teaches Jon how to climb a sheer cliff face, and they eventually reach the top above the wildlings. There were three, and after killing two, the third turns out to be a woman. She yields to them, and Jon takes her captive, despite Callith's warning that she should be killed. When she learns that Jon is a bastard son of a Stark lord, she tells him the wildling story of Bael the Bard. Supposedly, before he joined the free folk, he was a raider, or, according to Stonesnake, a murderer and robber.
Jon tells Qhorin Halfhand what Ygritte had said to him about Mance Rayder accepting him if he ran off. Qhorin confirms this. Qhorin knew Mance when he was a black brother, and the ranger tells Jon that Mance loved songs and wildling women, and that he was a wildling captured as a child by the Watch. He was the best ranger they had, but he returned to his roots, some say to gain a crown. Qhorin suspects that Jon let Ygritte go, and Jon confirms that he did, however Qhorin understands that the girl was not a threat, and if he had wanted her dead he would have had Ebben do it, or have done it himself. Qhorin tells Jon that he now knows him better than he did before, and that it was important for a commander to know his men. They were traveling at night and resting during the day, and during this time Jon Snow grows closer to Domeric Highmore of whom he finds a brave young man worthy of the respect he has earned. That morning, Jon dreams of six direwolves, of which he realizes are the Starke Direwolves. Seeing through the eyes of Ghost, he finds himself in a forest and senses a voice calling his name from a nearby weirwood, one that resembled his brother except it had three eyes. His brother explains to him how to open his eyes, and the tree reaches down and touches him, and he finds himself back in the mountains. He is atop a cliff, and oversees thousands of men training for combat, and he also sees mammoths with giants riding them. Suddenly, an eagle soars out of the sky coming straight for him.
Jon awakens shouting Ghost’s name. The others hear his shout, and he tells them what he sees. Qhorin calls it a wolf dream, and Ebben calls Jon a skinchanger. Qhorin, however, does not balk at the thought of wargs and giants during a time when the dead walk and the trees have eyes again. They set out at just before dusk, and spot an eagle watching them, well out of bowshot. Soon after, they find Ghost wounded and dress the direwolf's wounds. Qhorin tells them they must head back to the Fist, for they have been seen by the eagle which they fear is a skinchanger as well. They begin the journey back through the Skirling Pass without lighting any fires despite the cold. But their lead on the enemy was shortening, and when they came upon the place where the wildlings were killed, Dalbridge remains behind with all their arrows, sacrificing himself to give the others an advantage.
The weather in the Skirling Pass has gotten worse. Qhorin sends Ebben back with the last garron to reach the Lord Commander with all haste, while the rest try to head off pursuit. Watched by the eagle, Qhorin then sends Callith back as well, to take the high passes to reach the Fist of the First Men. Qhorin commands Callith to tell Mormont all that Jon saw: that he faces giants and wargs and worse, and that the trees have eyes again. As Night rises Domeric Highmore and Jon Snow talk of how neither thought it would end this way, and as they walk Domeric tells him the beauty that is Lucerne Hold and everything that he needed to see before he died. That night, the Halfhand asks Jon if his sword is sharp, and makes the young man recite his oath with him. Qhorin then commands Jon to yield when they are overtaken, and not to balk no matter what the wildlings ask him to do to prove himself. Jon is appalled at the suggestion, but Qhorin tells him to go among the Wildlings and learn what they plan, watch what they do, but to remember who he is and to return to Mormont when he has learned what the wildlings are searching for. Qhorin promises to tell the Lord Commander that Jon never broke his oath when he sees him again.
They are overtaken soon after by Rattleshirt Thenn and a large force of wildlings, Ygritte amongst them. They have Ebben’s head, and Rattleshirt orders them killed. Jon yields, as Qhorin ordered him to, and the Halfhand says in contempt, "I was warned bastard blood is craven." Rattleshirt commands Jon to kill Qhorin to prove himself. Jon slays the big ranger only after Ghost gives him an opening by biting the man’s calf. The wildlings accept him despite Rattleshirt’s misgivings, and Ygritte tells him that the eagle was once the man he killed up in the passes when they captured her. Jon and Domeric are kept together for a time but as they travel they are seperated after Trin Hornfoot believes they are plotting an escape when actually they were just talking. When talk grows again about killing Jon and Domeric before they arrive Ygritte stands up for Jon and says that they are vouched for by her and that none will harm him or his companion. Not wanting a fight due to knowing her father Trin Hornfoot backs down and moves his Hornfoot towards Hardholme and the growing darkness. Hardholme
Arriving at the edge of Hardholme Jon, and Domeric are gaurded closely by Ygritte who clearly begins showing an interest in the young Jon Snow and protects him while they camped during a particularly bad snow squal. Jon awoke to the sounds of screaming as a wildling stood bleeding on the ground with Ygritte stabbing him with a spear before grabbing Jon Snow and forcing him to his feet. Running alongside Ygritte he saw Domeric being dragged in a similar way by Rattleshirt as the two pairs ran through a massacre of the wildlings and towards what Jon assumed was the city of Hardholme. As they ran the cries started to die down as they reached far enough away. Walking further they finally spotted the vast city of Hardholme situated on the peaks of what Ygritte called the Fist of the First Men. When Jon told her that was where Mormont had also gone she told him that was because they were working together. Telling Jon that the Wildlings that had hunted and killed the Nights Watch and forced Jon to kill Qhorin Halfhand were not Thenn but Magmar men who wanted to destabilize the talks between the Nights Watch and the Thenn. Jon would finally discover much of the truth as she told him that the White Walkers were the real threat not the fake civil war in Hardholme as the Thenn were those Wildlings loyal to the old ways and to the Nights Watch style for the Frostfangs while the Magmar were loyal to the Day's Watch of which were the men that gaurded the northern wall in much the same way as the southern wall except they had grown greedy and no longer cared for containing the White Walkers as much as they cared for making money. As they got closer to the city they were greeted by Sam Tarly and the other Lucernian members as well as Mormont, and a Wildling that stood proud enough that he must have led them.
Feeling something powerful towards Ygritte he nodded and followed behind her as she took him out of the room and into the street where a clearly aware Sam Tarly followed behind them alongside the rest of the Lucernians. As they marched up the mountain side pathway into the core of the city they were stopped by a loud horn that went off high in the mountain. As the first horn blew she told him that meant that Rangers were here, and that suprised her because the Day, and Night Watchers were both already here. The second went off describing that the city was under attack, and she told them they needed to get higher to meet with Rattleshirt and the others, but they were stopped in there running by the third horn. Ygritte stood motionless as all the hustle and bustle around them of Wildlings running about preparing for battle stopped and everyone just stood staring blankly. Jon moved in front of Ygritte and held her face begging her to tell him what the third horn meant.
Battle of HardholmeMain Article : Battle of Hardholme
Realizing the severity of the third horn the group followed Ygritte as she brought them to the inner keep where they met with Rattleshirt. Rattleshirt told them that the White Walkers had massed a very large army of which the vangaurd had hit them back at the camp days before, and the full army was now massing around Hardholme. From the top of the peaks of the fort it was nearly zero visibility due to the clouds and snow, but as the hours dragged by, and the nigh approached bringing with it the darkness and loss of snow accompanied by the fires all along the road the Lucernians were shocked to see nearly the entire horizon covered with the army of the White Walkers. Rattleshirt enlightened them to the fact that very few actual White Walkers had ever been seen but instead they used reanimated corpses of the slain to fill their armies while they hid in the background and mopped up those surviving. Rattleshirt would lead them down onto the lower battlements where the forces of the Wildlings massed all along the walls in the hopes of slowing their advance but Rattleshirt told them that the Wights of the White Walkers could only be destroyed by fire, and thus their walls would only slow them. By this point there was a growing retreat from Hardholme as the women that didn't fight, the children and old fled through tunnels under the city into the surrounding region, while the Night's Watch, and the Day's Watch also prepared to flee the city as well. Jon Snow would stand beside Ygritte as the shambling horde of Wights approached the walls and watched as dead men covered in arrows didn't slow as they moved and used makeshift rams to bash at the gate. So many were the Wights that they layed themselves on the ground massing in areas so that they could scale the walls, and it was here where the Battle first begin.
The Wights had a massive element of fear as the men fighting them were horrified to be fighting dead men, and this allowed them break the moral in certain sections easily and overruning their way across the wall. Rattleshirt, Jon Snow, Ygritte, and Domeric Highmore and his father Cotter fought near the gate, and the fight there was terrible as the Wights moved forward irrigardless of their losses, and each dead Wildling only pushed them back farther. Seeing a spot east of them being overrun Rattleshirt had Domeric, and Cotter follow him there leaving Jon, and Ygritte at the gatehouse nearly alone except for several Wildings of whom were falling one by one. The two were able to hold for several minutes before Jon pushed one of the Wights back over the wall and pushed an entire cauldron of oil over the side of the wall, before Ygritte threw a torch at the oil igniting much of the ground in fire, but also igniting the wall as the wall was made of wood and not the stone of the more advanced lands. As the fire spread they had cleared the walls but watched the gatehouse burning down, and realized that the breach had been made. Running towards the direction that Rattleshirt and the Highmore's had went they ran into Harven and Hedrin who told them that the eastern wall had been overrun and they needed to escape. Finding Sam standing over the body of a Wight as they moved towards the tunnels they were caught up to by Rattleshirt and Domeric who said that Cotter had fallen along with the men at arms and basically the entire western wall.
After fighting by the tunnel entrance for ten minutes they realized that noone was coming and they entered the tunnel sealing it behind them. Travelling down the tunnel after hours they reached the exit and met with hundreds of other survivors of whom relayed stories that the retreat had been suprisingly succesful and many had been able to escape due to the length of time the defenders had held on for. Clans had retreated into the mountains, while the Day's Watch had retreated, and only the Night's Watch remained. Ygritte asked them how the retreat of Clan Styr had when, and when she learned they had survived relatively unscathed including her father she was relieved. Retreating
The Lucernians would meet with Mormont of whom told them that it was time to leave as they were going to quickly be overtaken by the White Walkers of whom had now destroyed the only city between them and the southern Wall. Ygritte loved Jon but didn't want to leave her family and her people behind for a people she didn't know, but after spending the night together before leaving once again he was able to convinse her to follow him. The group would travel to the wall, and along the way the Wildlings all but abandoned the group as they knew that they were not going to be able to cross the wall as they were Wildlings, and as each group left Ygritte became more and more ansy about remaining behind despite her love for Jon. As they reached the wall they moved through the gate which was opened for them, and made their way into Castle Black where Jon and Ygritte spent one last night together. The next day Ygritte made Jon take her to the top of the wall before they were to leave and he did as he she bid him. Reaching the top of the wall she would begin weeping as she knew that she was leaving him and returning to her people. Ygritte would make a tearful request for him to come with her, but he like Ygritte had a family that he knew needed him back and thus the two would stand on the wall looking out onto the wall that seperated their lives. Returning to the ground she was allowed to leave throught the gate, and a teareful Jon woul say one last goodbye begging her to not leave him.
Saying their last goodbyes she walked through the gate, and the two stared at eachother as the gates went down, and brought eachother from their sight. For Jon Snow he made his way into Castle Black to discuss what there next move would be, but as he and Domeric reached Castle Black they would see several very well armored, and equipped knights carrying the sigil of Strom. The Knights would be led by one of the sons of the King of Strom, and he instructed Jon Snow and Domeric that the Lucernians were to leave Strom now, under the command of their king. Refusing to tell Jon anything more Jon and the rest of his much diminished party were escorted away by the Strom Knights and Mormont. |

The Third Battle of Minus IthilMain Article : The Third Battle of Minus Ithil
With Aragorn`s success in gathering the forces of the Sindar Elves of High Forest he would send word to William Lovie III. of whom had succeed in gaining his father`s permission to lead the forces of Lucerne into Gondor and drive away the Mordor Orcs so that they could then relieve Tree Hill. In terms of the Sindar Elves of High Forest they would travel by boat from High Forest to Osgiliath where they would land north of the port city and meet with the overall forces in the area just north of the Battle site itself. The Orcs for there part had recently sent a smaller force through through the Morgul Pass of which had been moving southward towards the fortress of Narvine of which they would as usual most likely raid the already barren farmland north of Narvine and then retreat when they were opposed. William Lovie III. would lead the Lucernian army alongside his main commanders in Lucerne in the form of Charlie Swan, Renault Scarlet, Jack Shepard alongside many others of whom the main ones they would be meeting east of Stormwind in the Rhunian province.
Eddard Starke led the eastern forces alongside the Lannisters of whom were behind the attack surprisingly even before the acceptance of Bill Lovie and these two massive forces would send most of their forces to Lamedon but the leadership remained at Stormwind where it would meet the main army as it came through. The western forces of Lucerne led by the Greymane would lead their forces as well eastward with their army being the furthest behind but using ships from Highgarden, and Fogtown the armies were moved eastward towards Lamedon. The Gondor forces would begin to marshal under the command of Aragorn Elessar III. and while the vast majority traveled to Osgiliath to prepare a smaller force traveled to Lamedon where they would meet William Lovie III. once his army had gathered and was preparing to cross into Gondor.
Aragorn Elessar II. would watch with silent fright as the nearly sixty thousand Lucernian troops would mass themselves on the west side of Lamdeon, and it was only upon the arrival of the flags of House Lovie signalling the arrival of William Lovie III. that Aragorn crossed the bridges of Lamedon and met with the Lucernian leadership. William Lovie III. would be awaiting him alongside nearly his entire leadership of whom had arrayed themselves as much as possible inside a massive tent that had been brought for this very occasion, but knowing the importance of this conversation noone outside of William was to speak and it was in this way that Aragorn entered the tent of the Lucernian King and the two would speak one last time before going to war.
After speaking together it was Aragorn that would lead the Lucernian army across the bridges of Lamedon and the Lucernian marched eastward towards Osgiliath and the eventual battle that everyone had been waiting for. The now combining forces of Gondor, and Lucerne would meet at Osgiliath with their two forces gaining immense numbers after aligning together, and this led to a serious escalation in belief on specifically the side of the Gondorians of whom had been spending years watching the Orcs overwhelm them. With both forces combining plus the eventual assistance of the Sindar Elves they had almost ninety thousand human troops and nearly ten thousand Elven troops of which would be opposed on the other side by the main orcish army of more then one hundred thousand. The Attack
The two armies crossed the river and made their way to the hills west of the location of the Orcish Army, and from there pieces of the army begin to separate and move to their positions with heavy cavalry moving into the south, and north while the forces of Cair Andros, and Dal Imnil met them south east of Pelagir in the forests that the Sindar Elves had hidden themselves in adding another five thousand troops to the alliance. With one night before the assault the Shadow Council would meet and spent time together, and throughout the night they were joined by other young nobles that William had befriended, and this was the way they spent the day before the assault. During the night the armies would move into a closer position to the Orcs with the Gondor Army arraying itself directly before the Mordor Orcs in an attempt to get their full attention while the Lucernians and Sindar Elves would hide themselves as close as possible and once battle was met they would charge. At this point the besieged forces of Gondor inside Minas Ithil still had no idea that relief was coming and it had been decided that they would not make any attempts to alert the defenders as it was possible the Orcs might intercept the attempt and then everything would change dramatically for the plans of the attack. By this point the Magi Commander of the Lucernian forces in the form of Edward Cullen would group together with the Gondorian Istari and would discover to their great happiness that Ren the Unclean the Nazgul commander of the Orcish armies was not present on the battlefield. Despite the the fact that Ren the Unclean was not present the Kingdom of Orthanac was present with a force some five thousand troops and led by the Magi Sa-Uluos Thelvhian of whom also had some five other Magi with him and thus realizing they would be facing a significant Magi threat Edward Cullen would gather the Magi in the Lucernian army and alongside the Gondorian Istari would prepare a plan to attack the Orthanac forces and crush the Orthanac Magi swiftly.
The Ambush
With the Orcs embroiled in combat with the Gondorians they were completely focused in front of them and missed the Lucerne army, and they definitely missed the High Forest trees as they charged out as well. The first signs the Orcs had that things were changing was when the cries of battle appeared behind their lines, and the Lucernian cavalry along with the Ents of High Forest slammed into their rear, while accurate archery fell into the core of the Orcs. During this initial assault Jamie Lannister and the Lannister cavalry would overrun the center of the Pitghost Tribe and during this overrunning of the Pitghost Tribe their overlord Ghorgauth, and all his warchiefs would be killed leading to a complete route of the Pitghost tribe who fled eastward. Moving past the Pitghost tribe the camped army was cut down in their hundreds during the initial assault the forces of Gondor as well would switch themselves and become more aggressive as they realized the trap was on thus the Orcs felt pressure from all sides which only increased the desperation of the Battle. William Lovie III. alongside his Shadow Council and many other noble young men were in the thick of the main cavalry charge and William himself got into a fight with a large Troll of whom had killed several others around him including Lord Osgood Elbertson, and Davin Percy II. and fighting against the Troll he was pushed back and nearly killed by the Troll before his personal guards would mass around him and murder the giant Troll.
But as Ugreek reached him and raised his mace, Aragorn suddenly lunged up and stabbed the Orc through the chest before swiping across and nearly cleaving him in two. Ugreek coughed out blood before falling backwards dead. Aragorn looked around at his men who seemed to be still shaken, and without another second thought he screamed out a battle cry and flew back into the Orc lines followed by the rest of his force behind him. The Orcs for their part were now broken as a force, and all along the line begin to realize they were defeated. A renewed cavalry charge led by Jamie Lannister alongside the Reynes would finally smash the only surviving leader in the fourth and only surviving child of Ugreek leaving the army completely leaderless. Massacre
With the Orcs realizing they were surrounded and Aragorn having killed the Orcs leader the nature of Orcs led them to a full scale retreat. The defeat was hopeless as they were utterly surrounded, and as they ran they were cut down in their thousands by the vengeful attackers, and those that managed to break the line were taken down by the accurate fire of the Sindar Elven archers. The few hundreds of Orcs that managed to escape the main battle found themselves cut down by the Lucernian and Gondorian cavalry of whom had attacked the besieging Orcish army and had been preparing to assault the remaining Orcs.
Nearly fifty thousand Orcs were destroyed in the battle with the loss of just under fifteen hundred in the Gondor Army, and less then five hundred in the Lucernian Army meaning the battle was far more then just a victory. The Battle cemented the alliance between the three nations and in this way led to the continuation of the Journey which would not lead the alliance towards the Lucernian city of Tree Hill where they would lead their army in the liberating battle of the Second Battle of Tree Hill. Civil War in ManderMain Article : Civil War in Mander
Sparking the Fire
Raiding Eastern ManderWith the raids launched against House Svaeder going forward it was the larger scale raids planned by House Mander that would move forward against the forces of House Terentia. Jevard would lead a Bandit force of five hundred hired using Lannister coin against the town of Traender and the attack was launched during the peak of the day meaning the entire town was full as they launched the raid. During the Raid on Traender hundreds of the townfolk were killed and dozens of the nobles were taken hostage and brought back to Central Mander while they also burned much of the town down before leaving. House Unisson would also launch raids into the areas around Castle Fortexius and Castle Moyer but both of these attacks gained little success as they were launched days after the raid on Traender and thus the entire region was prepared for attacks and they were pushed back. House Banefort would launch an assault on Castle Ghertin where troops who were not even hiding their Banefort colors nearly took control of the castle until a heroic defence by Wiegert Ghertin and his elite Knights of the Order of The Holy Evoldar arrived and drove back the attackers. Even after the discover of the previous banditry mission by Jevard and subsequent demand from the leadership of Terentia for restitution's these attempts at diplomacy would be ignored and two knights sent by House Terentia delivering their request were executed leading to House Terentia declaring war on House Mander. Fall of TraenderBattles of GhertinRebel Counter AssaultSiege of ManderCapture of ManderFollowing the capture of most of the town of Mander by the forces of House Terentia the majority of the military forces of House Mander either continued to fight in the town or retreated to Castle Mander north of the city which was commanded by Andras Mander and at Castle Mander would remain the main holdout of the Mander forces due to its strong fortifications, and the strategic skill of Andras Mander. Retaking of Mander
Following the Capture of Mander by the forces of Terentia, and Svaeder the diplomatic efforts of Dylan Tyrell on the behalf of House Tyrell to end the fighting would end and Dylan begin marshaling forces to move into Mander and end the fighting. With the majority of the Tyrell personal forces away assisting in the rebellion of southern Bronheim they were forced to send a token force from Highgarden mainly relying on House Bulwer of Trensdale from their forces while they sent out word to the Starke's to send assistance.
As the fighting devolved around the capital of Mander it would be the decision of Jevard Mander that he would send the children, and women out of Mander in order to protect them as by this point victory for House Mander was becoming less likely. While most were able to escape it would be one convoy that was leaving Mander by boat heading towards Roxton with Asgerda Mander, Wendelina Mander, Blenda Mander II. and Verona Mander on board that would be targeted by pirates now operating freely on the Jutistort River. The boat would be boarded by the pirates and while the pirate captain Altmann Yeriton would take Wendelina back to his boat and his men ransacked the Mander boat it was the implied rape of Wendelina that led to Verona reacting by killing one of the Yeriton men. Verona would kill two more guards before she was finally killed by an arrow to the chest but a now bloodthirsty Yeriton crew would also rape both Blenda, and Asgerda before killing them and throwing their bodies into the river. Altmann returned too late to stop all of this but did execute two of the men responsible for the rapes and then attempted to hide the evidence of what had happened by sinking the boat and then fleeing the area. Unable to now ransom any of the hostages as was his main plan he returned to the port of Castle Yeriton with his real prize in the form of Wendelina. The Dragon Arrives
As the armies of Terentia entered Mander it would be the command of Jevard that would lead to Hildur Mander leaving the capital with some two hundred men going southward in order to become bandits and convince the people of the province about the brutality of House Terentia. As the forces of House Terentia moved against Mander the call for assistance would go out into the region with House Mander at this point trying to get assistance as the Liege Lord of Mander. As this call went up it was House Lannister who would send a very large force led by Hanzal Reyne but despite the call coming from House Mander it was House Lannister that ordered Hanzal to join with the forces of House Banefort and assist them which could mean a brutal extension of the conflict upon his arrival. House Tyrell was at this point bogged down fighting against the rebellion of House Bronheim and thus could only send a token force to Mander led by Dylan Tyrell. Also answering this early call for assistance would be the forces of House Scott of whom due to the involvement of Leven Martell at Tree Hill would be basically forced to send forces due to the fact that everyone knew if they rejected her then she would tell William about their refusal.
As Lucas was away at the time Nathan Scott was appointed the commander of the Scott forces going to Mander, but would be accompanied by Leven Martell and Brooke Scott of whom were the real power behind the Scott movement. When word reached Tree Hill it was ignored by Dan Scott, but Leven would realize that with the fighting in the south taking the Tyrells out of being able to reinforce Mander she believes very strongly that the Scotts need to send forces and she makes Brooke take her to the Keep of Tree Hill to meet with the lords of Tree Hill. Dan Scott would call the assembly of the Tree Hill Lords but during the initial meeting he would delay things, and basically waste time of which greatly angered Leven causing an argument between Dan Scott and Leven Martell. Brooke Scott, and Level Martell would leave ahead of the main force of House Scott with only a force of some fifty men believing that the flag of House Lovie that Leven flies will allow them to move without difficulty on the way to Mander. Arriving at the town of Gunderhoun they meet with Dylan Tyrell who has retreated here following failing to stop the violence at the city of Mander, and explains to Leven and Brooke that the rebels have broken the Mander forces and are in the process of sacking the capital city. Also present in the meeting is Randolph Heitmann II., his heir Gunthard, his neice Alwine, and his brother Eckhart all of whom are shown to be William loyalists as they discuss that both Alwine and Eckhart joined The Journey despite House Mander forbidding the involvment of the State of mander. Leven and Brooke discuss the dire situation they find themselves in and wanting to make sure this ends as quickly as possible the two split up with Leven taking command of the forces of House Bulwar and moving against the capital city while Brooke will lead the forces of House Scott eastward towards House Banefort who is still fighting in the east. Founding of Anthor

Following the crowning of William Lovie III. as the King of Lucerne many drastic changes were going on in the Kingdom of Lucerne, and one of these was the idea of the necessity of a port in eastern Lucerne to be the center of the navy of Lucerne. This eastern location would also allow them to combat the increasing piracy that was coming from Yairs (Region) and in time William wanted to incorporate them into the Kingdom of Lucerne. William also wanted to expand the control of the Lucernian Kingdom in the east with the feeling that most of the region was either of dubious loyalty or underpopulated the region of Anthor was chosen for the site of the new port. The Order of the Red Dragon had the funds and materials needed to begin construction of the Lucerne navy but no great port existed, and Lannistane was deemed to dangerous a location to do it at since the Lannisters couldn't be fully trusted. William would send Varian Anthor his family and vassals eastward where they would found a port on the island now to be named Anthor. The Port of Eastfall would become the beacon of the eastern section in a part of the land where there was little Lucernian presence. The vast province of Winterfell was somewhat broken up to make way for the larger state of Anthor and the many provinces within it, and this was compromise of later giving House Starke land north of Anthor (Later would become Hentwood). The lands that became Anthor would be rich in fishing, and had some mining, but the main operations of the house would be built around Eastfall and the trade that would grow from being the center of eastern trade for the Kingdom of Lucerne.
The Port of Eastfall's construction would be the responsibility of both House Anthor and the Order of the Grey Dragon of whom had already worked magic reconstructing Tree Hill. The Port of Eastfall was constructed over several months and during this time House Anthor was busy travelling around the new state making sure that everything was going according to plan, and during this time they were met by members of House Starke who arrived in the near built port of Eastfall. During this time Leonardo Mevinlo would arrive in the port with nearly two hundred engineers and thousands of workmen from the west. Leonard had been tasked with completing the port as quickly as possible and that the Order would fund a basic design on its own, and that House Anthor would be responsible for any expansions on the plan. Finding Varian very much interested in growth he would be tasked with quickly adding to the construction several extra docks, and a large expansion of the Anthor esates.
The Starke's were led by Robb , and Brandon Starke while accompanied by Jon Snow and his friend Samwell Tarly in order to meet with the new Noble House that existed on their doorstep. Kevan Ambry also arrived in the area in order to make sure everyone knew that he was the first in line for the lands north of Anthor that were being promiced, and he arrived around the time that Keven, and Tyrek Lannister also arrived in order to see what was happening and how it would affect Castamere. Candice Anthor was placed in charge of leading the visiting nobles around and making sure they were kept happy, and she did this extremely effectively to the point that Keven Lannister bid her whether she would be open to a marriage to young Tytos Lannister. She would politely refuse but Jon Snow was listening in and watched as she eyed him afar, and after this she would confront Jon on evesdropping. She would kiss him, and the two would begin to take it farther until he stopped her telling her that his heart was with another. Following this the whole group would group together to meet with a large party of Frey's that her father had bid come to the port and see the scope of what was planned in order to further relations under the overal command of William. Frey Trouble
The Kingdom of Lucerne would make it a point to invite the Frey's and under the command of William Lovie III. the Frey's were to be treated with the utmost of care. William though would be skeptical of them at the same time due to the conversation that he had with Menelia Proudmoore during the Nortburg Tournament of 5125 where Menelia Candice Anthor, and Jon Snow would continue to spend time together and she continued to attempt to seduce him, but his father's teachings about honor made him unable to do so. She would go to the port when the Freys arrived with Jon Snow beside her, and as the Freys visited it seemed clear to the Lucernians that the Freys were after a marriage. After discussions over the female Frey's that they brought with them went well it was believed by all those that were there that everything was going according to plan. After the Freys returned with Roslin Frey the most pretty of the girls that had been sent the Lucernians would make the mistake of not bringing Tytos Lannister to the meeting (Keven had been commanded not to by Tywin Lannister knowing that it would make them think it was Robb Starke they were offering) and this led the Frey's to believe that Robb was being offered. When this was made verbal there was laughter from several Lucernians who saw it as a joke that the Freys would believe Robb Starke would marry someone like a Frey. Black Walder Frey would take out his sword and fighting nearly broke out before his father Stevron Frey grabs ahold of him and controls the situation. The Freys leave after this with parting words from Lothar Frey being very threatening to Robb Starke of whom they feel greatly insulted them.
The Frey's would return to their ships following the argument and despite attempts by many including a near marriage proposal created by Candice Anthor and Stevron Frey the other Freys were intimidated by Black Walder Frey and refused to listen to the heir of Frey in Stevron Frey. On the route back from Eastfall it is known that during the night everyone went to bed, and the next morning the boat had its anchors up, and many on board were dead including Stevron his wife, and the captain. Everyone believed that Black Walder had done it, but unable to prove it and unwilling to be next on the chopping block noone mentioned it, and the story returning to Frey was that the captain had gone insane and killed Stevron and his wife. Trouble in Highport
Alongside the other forces it would be Robin Highport that travels to Eastfall in order to take part in the celebrations for the new city alongside his friends. Shortly before they leave Fogtown his sister Lara Highport comes down with a sickness due to her pregnancy with their second child and thus stayed behind while Robin Highport left Fogtown by boat traveling to Eastfall. Arriving in Fogtown he finds his friends forcing him to go to the newest local brothel and after a confrontation with Percival Lott he is convinced that the only way to keep his relationship with Larra a secret is to follow their lead and thus he agrees to sleep with a whore at the brothel, and unknown to him the whore he is paired with is Vanessa Cleef of whom is in the process of being tricked by several noble girls into believing this will make her popular. Vanessa Cleef would travel to Anthor for the same reason as Robin, and accompanied by her family there was much thought to finding the fourteen year old Vanessa a future prospect for a husband, but in this regard she was extremely uncomfortable and was not looking forward to this. Entering the room where he believes he will sleep with a whore he finds Vanessa Cleef of whom convinced that she will popular if she sleeps with Robin decides to play the part as best she can, and so desperate for popularity is Vanessa that she is able to convince Robin that she is a whore at the brothel, and he eventually after having a connection with her sleeps with Vanessa.
Arrival of Kul Tiras
While the situation in Lucerne was coming under control it was other regions that were feeling a different feeling and of these the situation in Kul Tiras was one of fear and chaos. Following the marriage of Derek Proudmoore to Sauria Frey the relationship between the Freys and Proudmoore's should have gotten better but instead it had gotten far worse with Tiras ships and Frey ships fighting on the Rhine. This got worse when the Empire of Frey declared war on Kul Tiras in the Frey Invasion of Kul Tiras but despite having superior numbers the navy of Kul Tiras was able to defeat the Frey's at sea and thus push back the invasion. Realizing that they would not survive another invasion Kul Tiras first looked to the Riverlands, and Lorderon for assistance but when both negotiations went no where it was the Kingdom of Lucerne that would be viewed as the next best option. Meeting the Hearth Druids
The Truth Comes Out
William watches as Leven walks away from the tent and then lets Elsa into his tent where once inside she shows him the letter. Reading the letter it is written by an unknown writer but details how the Druids of the Hearth are corrupted by evil and mean to simply distract Lucerne so that there true plans can move forward. |

The Druids of the Hearth had become increasingly aggressive following their corruption by the Hearth Druids but this aggression had been managed by James Lovie II. by allowing the Druids to raid into Lucernian areas in return for the druids giving the crown some slaves and avoiding sparking a larger conflict. The aggressive nature had also been managed by the work of the Druid of the Blessed Antler in the form of Idrena of whom as a part of her plan to kill her father she had taken control of much of the inner workings of the Druids and in this control she had nutured much of the violence that Wudis had tried to drive them towards. The peace would be shattered though when William Lovie III. took control of the Kingdom of Lucerne following the events of the Journey and one of the first major things he did was put an end what had become widespread slavery in the Valley of Lucerne and this also included the end of allowable raiding from the Druids of the Hearth. Following the end of the allowed raiding it was William Lovie III. and the Druids who made arrangements to meet and discuss future relations and this would be planned for when he was coming to the area to celebrate the founding of the town of Eastfall or the Port of Stormwind, and this planned meeting was put under the control of Idrena who was prepared to make sure that William saw through the secrets and lies of Wudis and would declare war against the Druids. Fall of AntlerfallsArriving at Munchenringen a village in the lands of the Antler they find the population has fled anticapting their arrival and with this they decide to camp for the night, and with the arming setting up the village as a makeshift camp Jon and his command group meet to discuss moving from Munchenringen against Antlerfalls the capital of the Druids of the Antler. Arriving at the outskirts of Antlerfalls they are shocked at the sheer size of the fortress with the waterfall quite large, and a giant tree rising from the top of the waterfall. Reaching the walls of Antlerfalls they are met by a group of horsemen who carry a white flag, and meeting with the group they are introduced to Grunduc Mervosi, and Fowe Sanros of whom are revealed to be two members of the ten strong Antler Council all serving the Lady of the Blessed Antler. Grunduc tells Jon Snow that if he enters alone and speaks with the Lady of the Blessed Antler that she will discuss ending the conflict before things start, but if he refuses then battle will be met, and they will not stop until one side is dead. Realizing how much death will result from a fight between the two and wanting to gain victory the way championed by William Lovie III. its Jon who agrees to go with Fowe Sanros to the great Antler where he will meet with the Lady of the Blessed Antler. Walking through Antlerfalls he sees how mobilized the town is for this fight and then is taken to the Antler where he walks up stairs which lead him to where a women sits in a throne and finds that she has no guards and he doesn't need to give up his weapons because they view her as being without threat. True PowerIdrena shows her power when after agreeing to meet with Eddard Starke she asks him to take her hand and then when he agrees she pulls him into a sort of dream like version of the world. Taking Jon through this world she is able to move at speeds that make Jon believe he is dreaming, but after minutes she has taken them too outside the town of Neuswil where the army of Eddard Starke has camped, and then with nothing but a short series of words she pulls them out of the dream world and back to reality. Jon is panicked once he realizes he has basically teleported across the land he is helped by Idrena of whom explains to him what happened detailing the fade to him in a detail that non-Titans simply don't have. Calming down the two share a kiss, which gets heated but stops when Idrena tells him that a group is coming on them, and before Jon can realize how much he liked kissing Idrena he sees his fathers Minister of Magi Robin Honigsman and a large group of Starke men coming up the hill on them. Invasion of the Fallen SpruceEtia would retreat to Knittelheim where as the town was surrounded by the Lucernian/Druid forces she realized that she had lost and challenged her sister Idrena to a duel and it was during this fight that she would be killed by her sister and finally released from the madness that had taken a hold of her. Battle of WolfkreisMain Article : Battle of Wolfkreis Pen Ecrowi would lead the main force of the Druids to intercept the incoming Lucernian forces and as they marched the more chaos aligned parts of the Druids preached a coming death for the army and how there death would help Wudis achieve the ultimate goals of the Druids and this would cause a schism in the army as they neared the Lucernians. Following the speech by Idrena it was Brus Ecrowi the son of Pen would take control of much of the Hearth Druid army on the eve of the battle and turned them to the side of Idrena leading to much of the remaining druid army to surrender while the rest led by Pen launched a suicidal charge on the vastly superior armies. |

Invasion of FairmarketMain Article : Invasion of Fairmarket
The leadership of Fairmarket was led by House Jennet of whom deployed their forces alongside nearly twenty thousand mercenaries hired from the Riverlands. While unreliable they gave them significant numbers and made a once easy invasion more of a problem. Eddard, Robb, and Brendan Starke led the forces of House Starke into the center of the attack. In the west Saiden, Darion, and other Scarlets led the attack but found that the forces of House Wilde and their vassals were reluctant to engage in actual conflict and were doing more retreating then anything elce. In the east the mercenarie forces of Fairmarket were joined by a small army sent from the Island of Frey of which were called freedom fighters but were sent by the Freys as an insult.
With the weakest section of the Fairmarket forces standing on the eastern front, it was the objective of the Lucernians to target that area. Jamie Lannister would instigate a situation where the mercenaries would march during the day and then both armies would camp during the night both sides never exposing themselves. After five days of this the mercenaries and Freys were becoming less and less prepared for battle, and this was exploited on the sixth day when Jamie Lannister moved his men during the night. The Fairmarket forces noticed this and assembled their forces for battle, but their scouts were slacking and did not notice the divergence of the Lannister forces and focused on in front of them. While Jamie moved right at them two larger forces moved in from the sides and enveloped the Fairmarket force. After fighting for several minutes the Mercenaries accepted defeat and would surrender with little hold out fighting, while the Frey`s fled eastward back to the ships on the coast. News spread quickly but not quickly enough for the main Fairmarket force of whom was stuck in between the Starke`s and the Lannisters.
While this was happening the Wilde family determined the time was right to change sides, and under the guidance of Olivia Wilde returned nearly all of their forces to Whellia. Back in Whellia Olivia Wilde would lead some two thousand men at arms and a hundred knights towards Fairmarket and behind all the fighting going on in the center. All of this went on while the Scarlet forces moved towards Whellia slowly as they feared they were being lured into a trap, and it was around this time that they were joined in the fight by the forces of House Lovie who were finally arriving in the area and brought overwhelming numbers. Olivia though arrived at Fairmarket, and without alerting the defenders of the Wilde turning on them would use Andrik Wilde to allow Olivia Wilde and the army of House Wilde to enter the city. Entering the city they turned on the Fairmarket forces, and burned and pillaged the town before massacring House Jennet, and taking nearly all the nobles prisoner. As this happened the forces of House Lannister arrived at the gates of Fairmarket joined by the well aware Saiden Scarlet and received the bodies of House Jennet as gifts. Saiden Scarlet would want to take the Wilde family prisoner, but Catherine Lovie had arrived and under the orders of William Lovie III. would command House Wilde spared and handed control of northern Fairmarket, while House Scarlet was given the south. Council of RiverrunMain Article : Treaty of Riverrun
When it came to the Riverlands the main power brokers were the most powerful house in the form of House Tully, the dominent northern house in the form of House Green, and the dominant southern house in House Blackwood. These three houses learned of the destruction of Fairmarket, and immediately the Tully`s made the decision to join Lucerne whatever was offered to them. House Blackwood would accept this as well, but many in the house wanted to resist for honor`s sake, but Brandyn Blackwood disagreed and invited the Lucernians to Raventree for a meeting. House Green led by Fadin Green was having difficulties in their north in fighting against the forces of the Deatheaters and thus was more then open to the idea of gaining a very important ally and thus in the spirit of gaining this ally Fadin would send his son and daughter to Fairmarket where they made their ideas clear. Unwilling to meet in a unknown venue such as Raventree the meeting took place in Riverrun. While this meeting was being formed it was House Keath one of the most powerful Riverlords who controlled the large Keath Islands in the southern Riverlands who go to the Lucernians at Fairmarket sending their heir and two daughters alongside several of their most powerful vassals in the form of House Butterwell, and House Vypros in order wot swear themselves into the Kingdom of Lucerne. Following the capture of Fairmarket Lord Tobben Keath would become horrified by the potential invasion of his own island and with this fear in mind he would send letters to the Lucernian forces now garrisoning Fairmarket and these letters opened up conversations about what swearing themselves to Lucerne would mean to them. The meeting in Riverrun would count in all the major houses of the Riverlands, and major elements from Lucerne including Catherine Lovie of whom led the Lovie delegation.
As the groups came together and met in order to arrange the alliance it would be a clear divide during the meetings about how House Tully, and most of the Riverlanders were very receptive to the words of Lucerne, with really only House Hantoway of the Western Islands of Hantoway, and secondly House Graege from the south western Islands of Greage providing any kind of resistance against the Kingdom of Lucerne's plans. Very similar to the current situation in the Riverlands it was decided that the Riverlands would become a Grand State of Lucerne with House Tully forming the Arch Lord of the Riverlands and gaining a seat at Lucerne, while the Riverlords would continue to be known as Riverlords but all fall within the Grand State of the Riverlands. Realizing that their resistance was going to mean little due to the agreement of House Tully, House Blackwood, House Keath, House Justman, House Goodbrooke, and House Lancer the leaders of House Hantoway, and House Graege would storm from the meeting to return to their seats with the belief that they would declare their independance from there. It was during this meeting that the true scope of what the Deatheaters were would become known to the Lucernians as led by the words of Seth Green the violence and chaos that had come with the arrival of the Deatheaters was detailed. Also during the meeting it was Harras Handlin that made the point of joining for the mutual protection of everyone against the increasing hostility of the Iron Islands of whom had started reaving against the lands of House Handlin as well as many other Riverland areas. Invasion of the Hantoway'sMain Article : Invasion of Hantoway The moment that House Hantoway, and House Graege stormed from the meeting it was decided by the Lucernian counterparts of the meeting that there resistence had to be stomped out immediatly and this took the form of House Proudmoore, and House Scarlet and all of their forces taking a Kul Tiras fleet and invading the Island of Hantoway. Regent Lord of Stormwind
While his father and brother headed north to Westbridge to take part in the Invasion of Westbridge Jon Snow was given regency of Stormwind by his father Eddard. It was while acting as regend that the conflict with Bolten would begin.
Illness in Stormwind
- “Amongst the death, and sickness I found a true friend in Stormwind. Thats the only part of that time I remember now Jon. I don't think on the dead, all I remember is how everyone came together to save lives. You should remember that way too.”
- — Emily Hirsh
Emily Hirsh would travel to Stormwind during the Invasion of Westbridge after a sickness broke out in the city, and she alongside several Restoration Magi and healers would manage to stem the tide of the illness. During this time she grew close to Jon Snow of whom the two would bond over the fact that they were both in love with people that were far out of their reach.
Civil War in Rhunian

Civil War in Rhunian I will have what I deserve. Do not ever forget that this is not the end. This is just the start. |

Joffrey Lannister would come to marry Kate Denali in a strange ceremony that led to the meeting of Joffrey and a corupt merchant named Stranden of Langstrand. Stranden had been banished from being able to trade north of the province of South Rhunian on the orders of Eldon Beyne the heir to House Beyne, and he saw the madness of Joffrey as a tool that he could use to gain the upper hand on House Beyne and give himself more options. Meeting Joffrey at the wedding had been part of this plan, and he would gain influence through the gifting of many evil things to the prince of Lannistane, and from there he became Joffrey's most powerful advisor. During his time in Kraegstill it would be Stranden that slowly begin to become the pawn of Joffrey as the agents of the Order of the Three Sins begin turning the morally bankrupt Stranden into a strident follower of their ideals slowly bit by bit. During this time following the wedding Kate Denali would also discover that she was pregnant and during this time she became the target of increasingly violent attacks from Joffrey of whom continued to escalate despite learning of her pregnancy.
Joffrey and Stranden would begin planning the taking of Castle Beyne only shortly after their union, and this grew to become an obsession of which grew into an actual plot when they moved against Langstrand. Langstrand following the war between Lucerne and Gondor had lost a significant portion of its population of whom went east into Gondor, and because of this the new powerbase was weaker and under the control of House Terrick a relatively young Atlantian household. It was the imprisonment of Jaeden Terrick by House Beyne for crimes of killing villagers north of Langstrand that would turn House Terrick to the side of Stranden and with their support the rich man had his southern support.
The news of Langstrand's joining to Joffrey was only increased in joy by the plotters then when Kate Denali was discovered to be pregnant with Joffrey's child. This news delayed the plot though due to the fact that the news broke into Castamere and brought about the arrival of many Lannisters to Kraegstill of which was the site of huge construction as the wealth of Stranden poured into the personal haven of Joffrey. Cersei and Tyrion would arrive together as there was already enough talk of Jamie, and Jamie wouldn't arrive till later accompanied by Tommen, and Tyrek Lannister. Tyrion would arrive with Cersei and from this the meeting's begin brilliantly at first but Tyrion stumbled upon Kate Denali during the night and found her weeping with cuts all across her arms. Not able to get the complete truth out of her Tyrion did learn it was Joffrey's doing, and he would bring this to his sister's attention. Cersei would refuse to believe this and would command Tyrion leave immediately. Leaving as his sister wished he passed Jamie on the road but refused to tell him what had happened after seeing Tommen at Jamie's side and not wanting to ruin what he knew was a family reunion of a different kind. The rest of the time nothing happened of great consequence and Jamie and Tyrek were forced to leave as news of the Invasion of Westbridge and its gathering was coming upon them.
As the Lucernian forces begin to gather for the assault in the north Joffrey did not respond to the summoning and neither did the forces of Langstrand, while in the north House Beyne sent some six hundred solders from its own army and another thousand from its vassals in central Rhunian and, finally eight hundred from its loyalists in northern Rhunian. With the defenses of Rhunian drained it was Joffrey Lannister who would begin massing his troops of whom now outnumbered the Lord House Beyne's forces, and begin moving them into positions around Castle Beyne. In Castle Beyne Eldon Beyne and his other family members prepared a final send off to the commander of their forces in Haegon Beyne of whom left Castle Beyne with the final segment of the Beyne forces. Sack of Castle Beyne
Haegon Beyne was ambushed as he made his way to the boats awaiting him on the coast, and he was taken hostage and his men killed and burried in shallow graves near the site. Moving with full speed now knowing the Lucerne forces were in movement northward to Westbridge Joffrey and over two thousand men at arms and some two hundred knights came upon Castle Beyne with no warning. The attackers would use Haegon Beyne walking towards the gate accompanied by many men dressed in the clothing of his lost men and as he approached the gates were opened to him. Once inside the initial attackers executed Haegon and went about killing the few gaurds left in the gatehouse. Fighting broke out as the fighting brought the rest of the Beyne defenders to bear, but the gates were open and the horribly outnumbered defenders of Castle Beyne were swiped aside with relative ease. Eldon Beyne awoke inside the keep after being knocked out during the fighting and found Joffrey walking over the bodies of his wife, and young daughter, and trying to get up he failed as someone was standing on his back. After argueing for several minutes Joffrey would murder the other remaining members of House Beyne while raping his younger sister, and then wanting death Joffrey would slash his throat killing the final member of House Beyne in Castle Beyne.
Following the sack of Castle Beyne the forces of Joffrey would take control of Central Rhunian and from there move towards Adrahil where the final remnants of the old House Beyne forces remained including their only remaining member in Liana Beyne. Arriving at Adrahil with the nearly undamaged army they had taken Castle Beyne with they would put the city under siege. Reinforced by forces now loyal to them throughout Central and Northern Rhunian anyone that had a grief with the Beyne's or the Overwood's of Adrahil came out of the woodwork and joined with Joffrey's forces. Joffrey would have Eldon Beyne cut into pieces and every day he sent a piece of Eldon to the castle gates, which were withheld from Liana to see at first, but as time went on she forced her way into seeing what was being sent, and was horrified to learn what had been happening. The defence of Adrahil was led by Teragon Overwood of whom was the third son of the Lord of House Overwood of whom was in Westbridge fighting in the Invasion alongside the majority of the forces of House Overwood as well as most of those who would come to their aid. Joffrey Lannister advised by his commanders came to understand that Adrahil was going to get no quick relief and was basically the only force left before he captured all of Rhunian and would leave the State in his hands, and thus he ordered his commanders to prepare for an all out assault of the city.
As the news of Castle Beyne's sacking and the siege of Adrahil had spread the leadership of the western Grand State of Winterfell, and Castamere would came together and Jon Snow would gather some five hundred troops meeting with many others in the Port of Stormwind where they would take ships to Adrahil. Alongside these forces were also sizable forces led by Lyanna Mormont of whom led Bear Island to Adrahil landing the quickest as they were basically the closest force to the region. Jon Snow would use his regency to force Joffrey to relent and stop attacking Adrahil, while Tyrion Lannister of whom had joined him would come to heavily insult his nephew to his own danger. Joffrey eventually relented and retreat back to Castle Beyne and his new holdings, where he would ship off everything of value back to Kraegstill and stripped the lands of central Rhunian knowing that they would be removed now with the survival of Liana Beyne. AftermathFollowing the ending of the siege of Adrahil and the arrival of the forces of Winterfell the armies of Joffrey Lannister had retreated across the Uhrel River but had basically left the entire province of Castle Beyne in ruins. Herbert of Winterfell, and Talbot of House Anthor would be sent by their respective houses to House Beyne on behalf of the Order of the Grey Dragon and would begin attempting to rebuild Castle Beyne which they discovered every non-stone building had been burned down and basically anything that could have been taken, or burned had been. |
News from the north
The Rise of Lucerne I saw the destruction of the world, and knew I had to stop it. There was nothing left to do but become bigger then everyone else. The Empire was never going to be the beacon the world needed it to be. Westros was on fire. The Bretonians had reached for the stars and been burned. And the old shadow of Numeron was fading far too quickly. It was left to us in Lucerne to change the fate of all those who wished to reject darkness. We were the last hope for a world who had long since given up on believing. |

``Nothing Jon.`` He handed me the letter and ran away down the hall laughing, and the carefree way he moved made me laugh. His running was quickly followed by Brann of whom yelled after him without even a look at me. The troubles of the world were just lost on the children. I guess that was the point of fighting. The old fought to hide the violence of the world from the children who deserved a chance at a childhood. I closed my door again, and came to rest behind my desk, and settling down I finally saw the name on the front of the letter. ``Lord Snow``. The words written beneath it gave me chills as the words ``Nights Watch of the Southern Wall`` pushed themselves across the letter. I quickly pulled a knife from my side and opened the seal on the letter and then laid it out on the table reading what I hoped would be the first good news I had heard from the north in many months.
There were just no words to say that would make this any better for me. I don`t know what I wanted but, I almost didn`t want to even know what was happening there anymore. Ygritte`s face already haunted my dreams in both sleep, and while awake, and now to learn it was unravelling just broke my heart. |
Fall of Tywin Lannister He was never really a true Lannister. He murdered your mother. He drank himself into a daily embaressment. He did everything he could to embarrass us. I do not apologize for attempting to remove a stain from this family that should have never been with us. | ||

Fall of Tywin Lannister
While the Invasion of Westbridge was in full swing, it was the idea of Tywin Lannister to finally remove Tyrion Lannister from the ranks of House Lannister. Tyrion had begun to acheieve the very thing Tywin had always feared as he became increasingly popular, and that was noteritty. The more people that knew about him, and liked him the more Tywin was forced to accept that Tyrion was actually his son, and that made him have to think about the death of his beloved wife Joanna. Jamie and most of the Tyrion loyalists would be going with the main army, while obviously during the attack there was no place for Tyrion so he had the perfect oppurtunity where there would be little chance of any collateral damage to other Lannisters that mattered to him. Leaving behind his son in regency of Castamere while he was gone he would command several of his more dark servents to infiltrate the Lionsden and murder Tyrion while framing it to look like the Starke`s as to cause more problems between the two.
The attack failed as Tyrion had been in his study training Tommen Lannister alongside Bronn and when the assassins broke into the room Tyrion and Bronn had left for the balcony briefly to hear what the commotion was. The assassins panicked seeing Tommen and attempted to silence him, and one of Tommen`s cats had its tail stepped on which caused it to scream and this alerted Tyrion and Bronn. Running into the room to find one of the assassins holding Tommen it looked like they were there to kill Tommen and this Bronn charged the group, while Tyrion called out for help from the balcony. As Tyrion reentered the room he was struck across the face with one of the attackers sword and fell to the ground with the mighty gash of the attackers sword. Bronn killed two of the four men, while the other two surrendered and were taken into custody.
Tyrion became very sick following the cut to his face forcing Tommen to be the regent of Castamere under the tuetelage of his aunt Genna Lannister of whom returned from the Island of Frey to assist Tommen in this time of need. Cersei also begin to plan to leave for Lucerne to care for her son Tommen while Myrcella was planned to return with her as well. While this was happening the Lucernians won the Battle of Westbridge, and following this Jamie, Tywin, and Tyrek Lannister returned to Castamere to the news of Tommen`s assault, and the actions of Joffrey Lannister. Returning to Castamere Tywin would discover the debacle of his attempted assasination and attempted to dig his way out, and it would be as he attempted to do this that Jamie would discover the truth from the assassins through torturing them. Confrontation
After torturing the assassins Jamie, and Tyrek now knew the truth, and before anyone could say a word Jamie bolted from the room and charged through the halls of the Lionsden and searched for his father in the council chambers where he knew him to be. Finding his father and Eddard, and Brandon Starke he was momentarily shocked by this before he overcame it and charged his father. After a massive confrontation Tyrek would get between the two men and this forced Jamie to let him live, and Tywin would depart the room fleeing his enraged son. Jamie would attempt to one more time confront his father, but found his father had fled the city and was travelling north to Stormwind, and from there he was told his father was planning on staying in Lucerne as the true regent of House Lannister.

First Bolten-Lucerne War
Main Article : First Bolten-Lucerne War
- "The Kingdom of Bolten was the first time we were ever met agressively by an oponent, and at first we were shocked at their actions. I determined quickly that they had to be stopped at any cost, and this led to our promise to defend our two major allies in the region, and a massive influx of our troops into the region."
- -William Lovie III.
With the taking of Westbrige the region of Bolten became more interested in its own growth and in particular they really wanted to get the Lucernian army involved in pitch battles which they had the numbers to survive. In order to do this they begin threatening several allies of Lucerne in western Westros in the form of Koenisburg, and the town of Jeutenburg. While these threats rancheted up the Kingdom of Lucerne did exactly what the Boltens hoped they would do when they brought huge forces to bear on the defences of the Westros river crossing of Levin. The Lucernians also made it known that any action taken against their allies in Koenisburg, or Jeutenburg would be deemed a decleration of war against Lucerne itself. This promice to defend meant a lot to the two towns, and most believed that with that the conflict would be ended before any blood was spilled. This idea changed quickly when the Kingdom of Bolten sacked Jeutenburg in a massive siege that took place in the guise of a peace mission.
Fall of Jeutenburg Jeutenburg was the first act of a truly insane man. Instead of offering quarter and hoping for any kind of assistence in the Divine Lands he butchered the first city he found and expected the rest to what...give in to him peacefully. Madness, and stupidity. | ||

Fall of JeutenburgMain Article : Bolten Capture of Jeutenburg
The city of Jeutenburg with the promise of Lucerne to defend it should the worst come stood tall as the army of Bolten came to its door, and House Banner blocked there entry. At first the Boltens sent in emissaries of whom promised peace and they simply wished to pass peacefully so they could get to Koenisburg in order to stop Lucerne from taking Koenisburg. Nikolas refused this offer as he was now aligned with Koenisburg and told the Boltens they would not peacefully be passing by the city, and when this happened to his shock the Bolten emissaries said they would do this the following day. Despite these promises during the night spies, and mercenaries scaled the walls of Jeutenburg infiltrating the main gatehouse and once they got inside the walls they showed hidden weapons and overpowered the outnumbered guards they had before occupying the gatehouse. The forces of Jeutenburg were somewhat unprepared for this sudden attack and despite attempting to resist the taking of the gatehouse the Bolten forces held out for nearly twenty minutes while the army of Bolten reached the gate. With the gatehouse in their control they filled into the city overwhelming every point of resistance with their vastly superior numbers and for nearly an hour the sacking of the city went on before Domeric Bolten, and Daryn Hornwood were able to control the palace and large enough segments of the city that they slowed the killing. One spot where the Jeutenburg defences held was the estate of House Chandyll where under the leadership of Calrin Chandyll they held the gaps between the estate buildings killing dozens and forcing a coordinated assault on the estate. This assault would be led by the Stoney Shore forces of House Haryen, and House Rurwell who led by Lucas Rurwell launched a ferocious attack on the estate which by this point was simply buying time to get there people out of the city. While after nearly a half an hour of assault the estate fell the leadership of House Chandyll retreated in good order and had bought time for there members and vassals to escape out of the city, and alongside this Daman Haryen would be badly injured during the fighting and fell into a coma due to his injuries and then died several days after.
During the sacking of the city Jeutenburg was given very little quarter with nearly half the city killed, and the survivors forced to live under the occupation of House Urnet of whom spent their time ransacking the city of its ancient wealth and history. As the army of Bolten did this their was division as the forces under the command of Domeric Bolten, and House Hornwood would protect several areas within the city, and were the main reason the entire city wasn't massacred. With conflict between this force, and the more chaotic forces of Ramsey Bolten looking likely a raven arrived from Roose Bolten who tasked them with quickly moving towards Koenisburg before the Lucernians could react. A meeting was held in the old Jeutenburg palace where Ramsey Bolten commanded the entire army leave Jeutenburg except for House Urnet of whom would hold the town alongside two companies of mercenaries. Domeric was able to trick Ramsey into allowing House Hornwood under Daryn to stay behind as well after he convinced everyone that Daryn was about to capture the Banner family. Following this meeting Ramsey would lead the army outside of Jeutenburg alongside Domeric of whom went along with him but during the first night of the march he abandoned the army and returned to Jeutenburg to meet with Daryn. Behind Enemy Lines
Daryn Hornwood would be leading his forces alongside Orsen Stout and others in his personal council, and during his searching for nobles of Jeutenburg he captured Nikolas Banner and his family bringing them back to the Hornwood quarters in Jeutenburg which were once the Banner home. Daryn Hornwood would send word of the capture but by this point Ramsey and most of the other leaders had already left for Koenisburg and thus he was sent a raven saying he should kill all members of House Banner he had before taking House Hornwood, and his vassals towards Koenisburg. While an honorable young man he was also driven by duty, and thus when he first received this command he planned on following through but Daryn would have a change of heart after he spent the night talking to Nikolas's daughter Corina Banner. Originally meeting her by mistake when he was planning on going to tell Nikolas about the execution he found her crying and without thinking consoled her. Corina would see quickly that Daryn was a good young man and someone that didn't want to do what he told her had been commanded to do by the raven sent to him from Ramsey Bolten. The two spent the entire night talking and as he prepared to leave she would steal a kiss, and from the second that happened the already conflicted Daryn Hornwood didn't know what he would do when he raised the sword to kill Nikolas.
Daryn returned to the top level of the castle to find Lorant, Jonas and Ser Rafford talking to Gunthor Urnet of whom was accompanied by many of his men including several Karstark men led by Atolf Karstark. Gunthor revealed he knew they had not killed the Lord of Jeutenburg yet and was here to make sure the deed was done to the satisfaction of those above and heavily threatened death to the Hornwood hostages in the Dreadfort if the task was not done to their satisfaction as well. Daryn to the surprise of his council would tell Gunthor that they were fine to do it now, and that he would summon the family right away, and Gunthor could witness it himself. Rafford, and Lorant went to gather the Banner family, and while they did this Atolf Karstark begin bragging about the number of young girls he had been with during the sacking of Jeutenburg to the point that Jonas nearly attacked him before Daryn commanded him to stand down.
When Rafford, and Lorant returned with the Banner family Nikolas kneeled before Daryn and closed his eyes as Daryn prepared to execute the man. Daryn would raise the sword once before putting it down briefly when Atolf Karstark begin rubbing the hair of Corina's younger sister Cersei and taunted Nikolas about what he was going to do to the young before she died too. Gunthor Urnet would then taunt Daryn calling him a coward and this led him to raise his sword once more, but this time as he did he felt Corina's presence behind him, and as he turned to look at her she gave him a sad smile before closing her eyes. Daryn knew in that moment that he couldn't do it and smashed his sword against a block of wood nearby. Gunthor would push his way past Jonas screaming about the commands of the Boltens and calling Daryn a coward and a traitor. As Gunther Urnet stepped forward to try and kill Nikolas it was Jonas Intris that stepped forward and slit the throat of Gunther before he could kill Nikolas.
The several Urnet, and Karstark men in the room tried to fight back, but were overwhelmed by the more numerous Hornwood forces and killed leaving only Atolf Karstark of whom begged for mercy, but without a word Daryn dragged him out of the courtyard and away from the Banners and once out of sight decapitated Atolf. Nikolas was set free from his bonds along with his family and Daryn would assist him in locating the loyalist members of his vassals along with his sister and her family. Following this he would set his men to helping Nikolas in exiting the city and as they left he stole his own kiss from Corina Banner before she was rushed from the burning town. Nikolas would thus be able to escape with much of his family and a significant force of his most loyal banner men. Staying behind under orders from Nikolas was his step-brother Otto Dragoon the bastard husband of his sister of whom led the rebels within the city while Nikolas rallied the Divine Lands to retake Jeutenburg. Daryn Hornwood would leave behind his knightly house in House Intris in order to better assist Nikolas Banner, and to make sure that his actions were not discovered by House Karstarke and Urnet who remained in the town with several influential family members. |

Siege of KoenisburgMain Article : Siege of Koenisburg
When Jeutenburg came under siege this was a huge indicator that the diplomatic message wasn't going to be enough so William ordered House Starke under Jon Snow, House Lannister under Tyrion Lannister, as well as House Clegane under Hedrik Clegane III. to send their forces to assist in the defense of Koenisburg as the city was now completely under threat. Word was sent to Koenisburg that this was happening and Britt Lancave would prepare herself for the ultimate defense of the city she loved so dearly. Word was also sent northward to Kul Tiras of whom was to send a large force of ships to Fairmaket in order to send the forces incoming to the Divine Lands. Kul Tiras would send two ships to Koenisburg under different purposes led by Wilheim Caellin, Dilon Borrell, and Tandred Proudmoore of whom would land in Koenisburg planting there house flags on two of the towers of the city making it appear once more there were more forces present then there would actually be. At the same time as this was going to happen William sent one of his greatest generals in Jamie Lannister to the small town of Grandlen where if the Boltens besieged the city of Koenisburg Jamie was to move southwards from Grandlen and hit them from behind and destroy the Boltens before this got out of hand. Jamie Lannister joined heavily by forces of House Reyne, House Brax, and other vassals of Castamere would arrive two weeks after leaving in Grandlen alongside a force of some two thousand cavalry, and they would make camp a days march east of Grandlen and await word from Koenisburg.
Jon Snow would arrive alongside Tyrion Lannister and a small force of House Starke and House Baratheon into Koenisburg, and were met with great applause by the scared locals of Koenisburg. Jon Snow and Tyrion were shown to rooms by Britt Lancave and when they were both situated Britt met with them to discuss what was happening in the theater. She told them that the Boltens appeared led by Ramsey Bolten, and were massing a large army outside of Karhold in a direct threat to Jeutenburg, and while the armies of the Divine Lands were large they were not even close to capable of defeating the amassed army of Bolten. The three would talk some more before Tyrion left leaving just Britt and Jon Snow alone, and she would ask him about how his situation in the north was going. Shocked that she remembered from briefly telling her years ago he told her about the letters and told her that it was taking all of his strength to stay himself from leaving for the north. Britt would explain to him the way Bastards worked in the Divine Lands, and told him how sad she was for him feeling so unloved just because of the manner in which he was born. Feeling comforted by this he was shocked when Britt suggested they marry, and despite finding her very attractive he still longed to see Ygritte again, and was forced to reject her offer. Things continued in a spin mode for many days until as they were meeting in the keep news reached them that Hedrik Clegane III. had arrived in Koenisburg and they went to the docks to meet him. Meeting with Hedrik Clegane III. he would give Jon Snow a letter passed onto him from a Maester from Stormwind, and labelled from Jeor Mormont he excused himself to read it, and digest what it would mean.
Hours after the arrival of Hedrik Clegane III. the city was alerted to the sudden arrival of more Lucernians as they were further joined by Sawyer Shephard of whom brought nearly a hundred Order of the Red Dragon men and flags with him as well in order to help. Using these flags and honor guard they mounted themselves all along the walls of Koenisburg, and alongside the earlier arrival of the Kul Tiras forces the walls were arrayed with different sigils and gave a very clear impression that House Starke, House Clegane, the Kul Tirasi Houses, and House Lannister had arrived in force. Tandred Proudmoore would also have his highly trained Kul Tirasi marines captain nearly every ship in Koenisburg to the point that the port looked filled to the brim furthering the idea that there was large force present. By this point the Lucernians, and Divine Lands had learned the extent of the destruction of Jeutenburg of which pushed basically the entire Divine Lands into the Lucernian camp including Grandlens large forces. Devision and Failure
The moment the flags went up on the walls of Koenisburg their was a severe amount of panic among the leadership of House Bolten after Ramsey Bolten went on a screaming spree as he believed his commanders had failed him and brought them all into a trap. Following his ranting Ramsey Bolten would call the commanders together and go on another mad rant inside the command tent about the need for the army to retreat before they were overwhelmed by what he believed was a massive Lucernian army. In this moment Domeric would step forward and heavily push that they should attack the city right away as he argued their was no way that the Lucernians could have massed enough troops in the city to stop them. As he was almost finished talking Ramsey would take a knife out and lunge at Domeric attempting to kill him. Domeric was the more skilled warrior and dodged the knife before wrestling Ramsey to the ground, and only the interference of the other commanders stopped Ramsey from being killed right there. With Ramsey losing his mind in the tent it was Rickard Karstark that would suggest that they meet with the Lucernians and at least gauge the forces of the Lucernians from the meeting. Ramsey would reluctantly agree to this plan, and with that a messenger was sent to the wall making it known that they wanted a meeting.
The two forces would meet with Ramsey and Domeric Bolten followed by Rickard Karstark, and John Cole on the Bolten side and on the Lucernian side it was Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Hedrik Clegane III. alongside Britt Lancave. As the two forces rode out it was a quiet moment for both sides as both believed the other side was going to break the honorable truce of a white flag meeting. Meeting together they would barely be starting to discuss the issues when Ramsey Bolten would intervene and begin insulting Tyrion Lannister for being a dwarf, and Jon Snow for his bastardy birth.
With these insults the meeting begin to fall apart and it nearly came to violence when Ramsey took out a knife from his side and only the quick movement of Domeric Bolten stopped the situation from completely falling apart. Despite this Ramsey and Domeric would nearly come to blows but only Ramsey's knowledge that he couldn't defeat Domeric stopped him from attacking him right there. Ramsey would spit in his face before leaving with everyone else in the party outside of Domeric who remained behind. Britt Lancave would attempt to convinse him to come back with them, but he was loyal to a fault and returned to the Bolten lines. The Retreat
Following the fight between Domeric and Ramsey Bolten and the collapse of the meeting with the Lucernians it was Ramsey's hatred and madness that led him him to decide to put nearly the entire Bolten army into a full retreat back to Karhold. Ramsey was at this point beyond any sort of rational thought and noone dared resist him despite the fact that many believed that Koenisburg was there's for the taking and Roose Bolten wanted the city taken at all costs. While he planned to have nearly the entire army do this he would force his brother Domeric to return to Karhold from a different direction with only House Hornwood and its loyal vassals. As the armies made their retreat back to Karkhold, it was Ramsey that put into work his real plan when he split from the main army and moved north with a large force of cavalry and planned to burn the town of Pomlet to the ground and thus force Domeric to come to its aid, where he would then say he was responsible for the act and ambush his brother's force. After hearing Ramsey talking about his plan to Reek it was Jordin Bolten that snuck into the force of Ramsey as it split off from the main army, and he would send a Raven to Grandlen telling Jamie Lannister of the change.

The Reckoning of the Day's Watch
Reckoning of the Day's Watch The Day's Watch was created to protect the world, and I would make sure that was what they did. | ||
---|---|---|
Jon Snow would arrive in Tyke alongside the rest of his party, and there three ships entered the port to little fanfare they thought, but in actuality they were being watched from afar. Jon Snow would command his men to gather their things and prepare to move out the following day, as Jon planned to go into Tyke and using funds he had gathered in Westbridge, and from the others of his party they would hire mercenaries. Following this the main plan was to use the mercenaries plus their forces to sack the main fortress of the Day's Watch - in the form of Castle White - and then hold it for long enough that they would be able to allow the Wildlings inside the wall, and then alongside the Wildlings they would take control of the Day's Watch, or retreat out of the area. Jon Snow, and Benjen Starke would come to shore with a dozen men, and as they did they were stopped by the dockmaster in the form of Jerico Swain, of whom was also accompanied by a beautiful women clad in armor and weapons of whom Jerico introduced as Allerie Greyjoy.
Jerico Swain would introduce himself as someone that had known Eddard Starke very well, and indicicated that because of this he was going to help Jon in his attempts to retake the Day's Watch. Jon would attempt to force Jerico to tell him about how he knew Eddard Starke, but his attempts to do this failed, and Jerico would briefly leave in order to deal with a situation, and Jon was taken aside by Allerie Greyjoy.
Alliances with a Family Friend
After meeting Jerico Swain, Jon Snow and the rest of his forward party would be taken by Jerico back to the Townhall of Tyke where Jerico would introduce them to his inner circle. After showing Jon Snow the trickary that was present in the world of the Day's Watch the two would begin planning the capturing of an abandoned castle along the Wall of which Jon Snow could use to get through and shuffle Wildlings through. Capturing Castle Lucerne
Jon Snow would be given the command by the Magistrate of Tyke in his ally Jerico Swain to retake the Eye Tower of which had been painted as a mission to further expand the power of the Day's Watch, but in fact was for no other reason then to give Jon Snow a base of operations away from the madness of the inner circle of the Day's Watch. The abandoned Castle along the wall had once been known as the Eye Tower, but this changed when Jon Snow and his men took it over, and they would rename it Castle Lucerne after their homeland. Through the WallAfter the expansion of Castle Lucerne, and the further growth of Jerico Swain in Tyke the situation was ripe to finally pass through the wall when they had finished repairing the gatehouse leading through the Wall. Needing more materials for the construction of the repairs the gatehouse needed Jon Snow would begin to reopen several damaged mines, and mills in the area around Castle Lucerne, and brought in nearly four hundred Atlantians that were sent to him as assistence by Jerico Swain. As the mines, and mills reopened he was forced to place Samwell increasingly under a more civilian command as they needed to create farms, or else they would starve out if they lost the constant supplies of Jerico Swain, and Samwell Tarly was the perfect person to put in charge of such a thing. Finding Ygritte
Travelling through the wall Jon Snow would move with a small group, and moved immediatly to the rivers where he knew the Wildlings had begun to settle due to the mild protection that the water gave them. Travelling by horseback for two days down the riverside they didn't see anything until the third day when they saw a large group of boats towed together in the middle of the river. Dozens of boats all tied together, and above them flew the flag of Clan Styr of whom he knew was Ygritte's family. Battle of Castle White
Following the bringing of Ygritte and her Clan of Wildings through the gate she and Jon Snow would make themselves quite shut inside the inner Hold of the castle, and during this time Samwell took brief command of the Castle Lucerne forces. Also upon there return begin the whispers that the White Walkers were moving against the Northern Wall, and that they were moving in incredible numbers that had never been seen this far north. Samwell was sent word from Castle White commanding them to send reinforcements to Castle White, but this was ignored as Jon, Benjen, and Sam decided that they needed to see how this played out and told Castle White that Castle Lucerne was under siege. The attack on Castle White though would finally come to fruitition when the White Walkers and a massive army of Wights arrived at Castle White and put it under siege. Battle of FrostdownFollowing the capture of Castle White by the White Walkers they would move agressively against Frostdown putting it under siege as well. Second Battle of Castle WhiteWith the Emperian army arriving at Frostdown and slowing the advance of the White Walkers Jon Snow would counter assault at Castle White - alongside the remaining Days Watch forces present in Tyke - of which if succesful they would close the gate in Castle White thus blocking the White Walkers from getting across. |
