House Mortling is a large Gothic Household located in the Kingdom of Lucerne, and dominating the castle of Mortling Stronghold.
House Mortling would lose several members during the Dreadfort court massacre, but the death of Brunor Mortling the heir to House Mortling was kept a secret in order to keep the Mortlings loyal, but Lucernian agents in the Dreadfort would reveal his death to the Rusens of whom relayed this information to Jocelyn Mortling who turned emotionally against the Dreadfort. Jocelyn Mortling's foolish husband Dalbert Mortling would perish at the Battle of Green River leaving Jocelyn as the Lady of House Mortling as their three children were all too young yet to rule so she took on the title of regent of Mortling. As the acting regent of House Mortling Jocelyn would receive word from her family House Rusen which pushed her decision to align herself with the incoming Lucernians even more poignent and thus when the Lucernians arrived at the Morlling river fortress she would make terms and join the Mortling forces to the Lucernians having her lover Benjamin of Mortling lead the Mortling forces.
Dresdan Market Massacre

| Dresdan Market Massacre |
For whatever reason he wasn't happy with a slow growth anymore. He wanted more power, and I guess he was dumb enough to think that killing people's children, and brides was the right way to get that.
The Dresdan Civil War could be argued started the day that Angelo Ambronogi entered Dresdan and turned Francis Munitz towards the forces of Chaos, but the actual event that sparked the conflict was the Chaos forces destructive event which is now known as the Dresdan Market Massacre. This movement led to the creation of the Forsaken which was built as a rebellious movement that wanted more rights in the region of Dresdan, but once you joined you realized that it was actually a chaotic movement that you either gave into Chaos or were quickly silenced. As this movement gathered steam they begin sparking a conflict between those who worshiped the Dragon, and those who worshiped Sigmar. As Francis Munitz begin planning for the Market Massacre he was completely aware of the growing religious movement, but as he shuffled in hundreds of Chaos cultists into the city swelling his numbers the Sigmarite's and Dragonoph's were far too busy with each other to notice the change. This conflict spilled into street fighting which the military of Dresdan was unable to contain, and entire neighborhoods were turned into battlegrounds as the conflict escalated. The religious section of Dresdan became more and more polarized and in this way each of the houses of Dresdan picked a side and this was believed to be the starting of the civil war, but in fact it was the massacre at the Dresdan Market that would truly begin the civil war. Around this time Sophia Lovie and the Order of the Violet Dragon would move northward in an effort to ambush a Sigmarite force that was moving towards the Dresdan Republic from the north.
With the Forsaken moving towards becoming a legitimate force within Dresdan the violent nature of Francis worked itself together during the events of the Dresdan Market Massacre. Francis wanted an event so grand in scope that his movement would finally get the notice and recognition that he believed it so desperately needed. His commanders argued that they were growing in strength and they didn't need the attention that would come with a large scale attack, but he controlled the movement and forced it to follow him. By this point Angelo had left Dresdan and moved onto his next coruption, but Francis was not ready to fully take control, and this was the first sign of this. The plan by Francis quickly became to use nearly the entire strength of the Forsaken to assault the Dresdan markets and kill everyone there. His commanders were horrified as this could kill many allies of the Forsaken and also frighten the merchants who were required for any kind of power play, but he was beyond control at this point. Alongside his madness in this was the chance meeting between Francis and his cousin Jimmy Fletzmiller of whom he would meet after Jimmy was returning from Dresdan on an especially long trading mission all the way north to Denmark. Jimmy was prepared to rest himself for a long time before going back to the road, but only a few days into his return he was met by his cousin Francis Muntiz who asked him to come see the opening of his merchant shop in downtown Dresdan. He agreed as he was glad that his cousin was taking an interest in the economic interests of House Munitz, and this acceptance gave Francis the idea of luring in others from his family.
In Francis's madness, and arrogance from the luring of his cousin he returned to his family where he had been absent from for well over a year, and with his return he invited them to meet him the next week to see the opening of his own shop in town. The day that his supposed open, and the attack was planned for was a very busy day for the markets as it was the monthly rush on new goods coming in from the port, and thus the numbers within the Market would be heavy. His family was obviously skeptical, and many simply turned him down outright but Franky's sister Jessie Munitz would push hard for her family to support Francis but despite this only Franky would go with her on the day of the attack.
On the day of the attack Franky left a letter behind for Amanda of whom by this point could barely walk due to her pregnancy and then left her sleeping in his room before finding his sister and gathering some men to take with them and then going to the market. Francis and his Forsaken had already by this point captured much of the market, with the least important stores captured by their men and closed signs placed on them. In these captured buildings they placed crossbowmen in large numbers, and this was especially true for the more center area where they had some three hundred men in the market square for the attack. One hundred Forsaken men waited on either bridge for the attack signal to be sent and when that happened they would storm the two towers guarding the bridge and then prepare to shoot anyone down who attempted to cross the bridge. With preparations done Francis waited in his fake store for his brother and sister to come and his plan was to signal the attack once he had killed Franky. Franky his four men and Jessie Munitz came to the Market around ten in the morning meeting their cousin Jimmy and his wife along the way, and by this point it was already packed to near madness but despite wishing to wait until it was less busy Jessie grabbed his hand and pulled him forward. Walking down the street he sees many nobles and makes notes of what they appear to be doing, but it as they walk that Dewey Munitz hiding on a rooftop sparks the attack to quickly when he sees a shot at Franky Munitz and takes it. Dewey misses Franky and strikes his sister Jessie in the chest killing her and then causing all the other Forsaken in his building to open fire as well. Dewey lights the signal fire for his building which spreads to the other Forsaken forces and causes the bridge forces to attack the towers.
Franky took a shot off the shoulder plate of his armor and fell to the ground of which Dewey thought killed him and thus Dewey left the building commanding his force to follow him onto the street to take the head of his brother. Coming onto the street Dewey found a wounded Jimmy Fletzmiller crying over his fallen wife and without pause Franky saw Dewey stab him through the back of the neck, and realizing he didn't have much time Franky quickly gathered more men to him, and it was in this form that Dewey found Franky organizing the people fleeing to go into the buildings and fight inside until relief came. Franky though stopped telling people to flee when he saw that Dewey had seen him and seeing this Dewey charged with his eight men against Franky. Franky now aided by two others fought against Dewey and his forces, and despite Dewey being aided by his Chaos Mutations Franky managed to kill three of them men and knock Dewey to the ground embarrassing him and when two other market goers entered the fight Dewey found himself forced to flee. Fleeing down the street Franky chased after him finally catching him near the Forsaken headquarters in the Market where the two fought briefly before Franky stabbed him through the chest fatally wounding his brother. At the sound of Dewey screaming Francis Munitz came running and prepared to fight Franky when he was pulled away by two of his commanders who told him relief was coming and they had succeeded in their massacre but needed to escape while they still could.
Barely controlling his rage Franky cursed his brother watching him flee onto boats with hundreds of other Forsaken going southward down the stream leading out of the Market. Franky quickly came to and went back to find his sisters body and hugged her tight crying into her shoulder until he was pulled away by his father of whom had a single tear in his eyes when he pulled Franky away. In the end the Forsaken had killed nearly eighty percent of the people that were in the market causing the deaths of hundreds of people of which many were nobles, and for their own side they had lost some numbers but not heavy enough to evan be remembered by their forces. The death of Dewey Munitz who was the third in command of the Forsaken forces was a large loss of which the Forsaken were shocked by.

Fall of Northern Bolten
| The Fall of Northern Bolten |
It was the final straggler for the Kingdom of Bolten, and it was gone.
With the negotiations with House Cole out of the way and having secured the Coles to their side of things the next stage of the operations was to take control of the northern section of the Kingdom of Bolten. In order to assist additional agents were sent into the area in the form of the Order of the Violet Dragon of whom sent in two Cloaks in the form of Matias Sorenson, and Asold Egeland of whom brought with them nearly a dozen Whelps including a prominent noble whelp in the form of Arya Starke of whom for her this would be her first mission for the Order of the Violet Dragon. With this in mind they would capture the river fortress of Mortling Stronghold after negotiating with the Cerwyn vassal in House Mortling of whom would align with the Lucernians in return for governance of their own province, and the ability to uplift several houses beneath them. For the part of the the Bolten loyalists it was Harrin Haryen and Lady Jocelyn Mortling would have a meeting with the Coles, and Scarlets of which she would soften the deal somewhat but also wanted the Lucernians in particular to know how valuable her house could be to them. The Coles would grant this, and Saiden Scarlet agreed, and thus the Mortling's joined their forces to the army, and they would plan to move northward towards the next point of resistance in the form of Castle Haryen in the west, and Shardore Castle in the east. For the part of the Mortlings they were already aware at this point that the forces of Northern Bolten were turning against the Boltens following the Dreadfort Massacre as Lady Jocelyn Mortling was a member of House Rusen and very close with her brother Titus Rusen the Lord of House Rusen. Saiden Scarlet, and the army of House Cole would before doing this stop briefly in the town of Mortling Stronghold following the agreement, and during this Saiden would find Olivia naked in his bed, and all of his resistance went away and they slept together. Following his sleeping with Olivia Wilde Saiden would wake up and realize what he had done, and instead of turning her away he brought her closer and told her that he would do everything in his power to remove himself from his broken marriage, and the two of them would be happy together. So after this declaration to her the situation changed and as they moved into the lands of the Cerwyn's, and Ryswell's she would be at his side during meetings, and it became clear to all that she was now his.
Following the taking of Castle Mortling, and staying there for several days they would move northward into the plains of southern Stoney Shore where they entered the lands of House Rusen, and upon reaching the Isles of Rusen the scouts reported a force of Bolten arrayed north of them. The scouts reported the army to be very undermanned in comparison to their own with only three to five thousand men, while the Cole, Lucernian, Mortling army numbered nearly thirty thousand. Saiden would command Tristifer Mudd to lead a force of three thousand men east where they would make for Shardore Castle and make sure the Cerwyn's were unable to relieve them. Sending two forces of two thousand cavalry each (One led by Dogan Mien, while the other led by Peter Cole, and Taimen Scarlet) to trap the Bolten army between them, he then moved the entire army nearly thirty thousand strong minus the forces just sent away, and moved towards the small Bolten army.
On the Bolten side the army was led by Alf Wolhane the powerful Magi, and Orton Haryen of whom was the heir to House Haryen. This army had been commanded by the Ryswell's to hide themselves south of the Rusen Isles, and wait for command to move as the Ryswell's and Cerwyns they had been told were going to move east of them, and the Haryen's were going to close the trap on the Lucernians. For his part Orton had planned to remain faithful to this plan as he was an honorable young knight, but Alf Wolhane had been given commands by Harren Haryen the Lord of House Haryen that when the time came he was to make sure they didn't reach the battle before the Lucernians had already defeated the Ryswell's and Cerwyn's, and then they would surrender to Lucerne and attempt ot regain their station against the destroyed remnents of House Ryswell. The other element of this Bolten army in the form of House Rurwell was also kept in the dark about the Ryswell trap, but Rodrik Ryswell had made sure that the Ryswell's sent were either stupid, or disloyal members of the family. Thus as the Lucernians litterly surrounded the army of the Haryen's and their vassals, alongside the other army of House Rurwell the army was simply awaiting word from House Ryswell to move, but the truth was that Rodrik Ryswell had never any plan to move south and simply wanted to weaken the traitorous elements of his forces before he ultimately surrendered.
With the cavalry forces in place the Lucernian army moved forward, and the forces led by Radlet Scarlet would kill the scouts and outliers of the Bolten force, and then the main army, and cavalry moved in, and the Battle of Rusen Isles began. Fighting during the day meant that the army of the Boltens was mainly awake, but most were unprepared for the attack, and the few fully armored, or equipped were overrun by the cavalry with any resistence swiftly desolving away as the massive Lucernian army simply overran their position. The Lucernians had given there men clear commands that those that surrendered were if possible, and with as much effort as they could use to be left alive. This meant that minutes into the battle as the Boltens surrendered the collapse spread throughout the Bolten army, and only minutes into the battle nearly the entire army had surrendered. During the fighting Alf Wolhane would flee the battlefield, and was able to evade capture as he made his way north to warn the Haryen's of the defeat they had suffered. Alf Wolhane was the exception to the rule as nearly the entire force was either dead or captured of which the nobles amongst them had been captured in high number, with few actully dying during the fighting.
The Stoney Shore
Main Article : Stoney Shore
The defeat of the Haryen, and Rurwell army meant that the route to Stoney Shore was completely open, and thus realizing they would take that before Cerwyn Saiden would send another three thousand men to join Tristifer Mudd, and these men led by Tirion Fraizen, Quentin Greenwell, and Brunor Shadbolt would add to the siege of Shardore Castle, but they were not to move furthern then Shardore, and there main purpose was to block off the Cerwyn's. Saiden led the army to Castle Haryen where they attempted to broker the surrender of the castle by threatening to kill their hostage Orton Haryen, but the stubborn lord was so disapointed in his sons failure that he refused to accept the deal. As they were sitting outside the walls of Castle Haryen Saiden would recieve the first raven from the forces of House Ryswell, and they would suggest that they were willig to surrender, and that it would need to be quiet and at the point of a sword so that Rodrik would have the oppurtinity to do something he needed to do. Saiden would leave five thousand men under the command of Ser Laiden Rivers of whom was to siege the castle but not lose unessesary troops in taking a castle that everyone believed was going to surrender due to poor supplies and a depleted garrison, and with the rest of the army they moved towards Odenplain where they would reach the town, and immediatly the town surrendered under the white flag banner held by a contingent led by Rhea Rurwell, and her father Lucas Rurwell.
Odenplain's capture would force Saiden to leave a garrison behind in Odenplain, while half of the raised forces of House Rurwell would be commanded to follow the main army as it moved toward Stoneyshore. Stephan Moyer and the forces of House Moyer were left to garrison Odenplain, and with the capture of Odenplain the route to Stoney Shore was completely open, and with that the main army moved toward Stoneyshore. Reaching the vast city they would be met at the gates by Anna Ryswell, and her husband the heir to House Ryswell in Roger Ryswell. The meeting would be where the Ryswells made their point clear that they needed time to be besieged by the Lucernians so that Rodrik Ryswell could raise a force of men and travel to the Dreadfort in order to try and get back the Stoney Shore hostages in the Dreadfort. Believing Anna, and Roger it would be the decision of Saiden Scarlet that they put the city under siege for the week needed in order to prove that they were actually fighting and not simply giving up the city.
The Port of Cerwyn
Main Article : Cerwyn
With the Stoney Shore captured Saiden Scarlet would recieve a letter from the Cerwyn's of which detailed basically the exact same situation that the Ryswells had told them, and that they also wanted time in order to get their captured people out of the Dreadfort. Medger Cerwyn would at this point travel as well to Shardore Castle where he met with the Scarlet forces there and told them of the plan. Telling them that he and Rodrik Ryswell had created a plan where they would both amass a small force and go to the Dreadfort. Once at the Dreadfort they would pretend to be rallying support for men to return with them to releive the besieged Cerwyn, and Stoney Shore, but actually once there they would find the location of the hostages, and during the night they would recapture them, and then they would either return to their boats and make there way to Cerwyn, or they would fight through one of the gates, and move towards the Lucerne lines near Hayford. In terms of the Port of Cerwyn Saiden accepted this deal on the condition that they allow several Order of the Violet Dragon men to accompany them on the voyage to the Dreadfort, and when the Cerwyn's agreed Saiden would send word to the Order of the Violet Dragon encampent at Hayford that they needed to send men with the Cerwyn's in as quick a time as possible. The Order of the Violet Dragon would decide quickly on Thaleon Von Proveer of whom was the closest and most powerful of the VIolet Dragons in the area, and he quickly made his team and formed boats to meet the Cerwyn's and Ryswell's forces before they reached the Dreadfort.
