John Urdentrot is the son of Talbot, and Blenda Urdentrot making him a member of House Urdentrot.

John Urdentrot would be born the third child and second son of his father Talbot Urdentrot of whom was the lord of House Urdentrot and the King of the Kingdom of the Green Fork leaving John as second in the line of succession and a prince of the Green Fork. John Urdentrot would be sent to the Kingdom of the Trident where he spent several years in the capital of the Empire itself and while there he would come to hate the Freys of whom he found to be extremely arrogant and his hatred especially moved towards several including Emmon Frey. John Urdentrot would be sent to the Kingdom of the Purple Fork following his sixteenth birthday in order to try and find a match for himself there, and during this time he would grow close friends with Olyvar Frey of whom would be the first Frey he could tolerate, but he would always call him Olyvar Robie in private.
