Kandor is the ancient Empire of the Arakhora race. Located in Central Croatia , and Eastern Europe the Empire has withstand-ed invasion from every force that has come to threaten its existence. As Kandor expands so to does their homeland forest ofTerokkar Forest. In one of their most notable traits they plant their species specific tree of the Olemba Tree that as it spreads makes the forest all appear in their ancient style of an almost reddish tint.

The Empire of Kandor is governed by a Triumverate that is self controlled in that each member of the Triumverate is only responsible for specific duties, and is by tradition not allowed to take part in roles of the other members, and as the roles are usually caste based this is added to by the fact that the other caste may not be physically capable of the role anyway. The first member of the Triumverate is the Talon King of whom is the law maker, and the civilian leader of the Empire of Kandor, and is seen as most as the most powerful of the three in the Triumverate. The second member of the Triumverate is the Darkweavers of which are ruled over Senatorially but mark a single member of their group as their spokesperson, and the Darkweavers control the religius elements of the Empire of Kandor, as well as the economic engine. The third and final element of the Triumverate is the Raven Lords and born of the distinct Arakhora Caste of the Tevinkhora they control the military of Kandor and stand as the generals, commanders, and foot soldiers in the armies of Kandor.

Fiercely independent they launch constant raids against the Kingdoms that surround it, and are the mortal enemies of Mordor due to their fierce resistance against the Easterlings. The Kandor have become so dire hard in their hatred of Mordor because their religion happens to name the great evil as a man named Bae`Daely of which means in common tongue the great dark deceiver. This coincidence has led them to believe that Sauron is Bae`Daely and it is their responsible to not only destroy him but align themselves with anyone who does battle against him. This has led them into an alliance with Gondor of whom they see as a true believer due to how stubbornly they have fought Mordor.

Kandor is the home and only region where the Arakhora race exists in any real number meaning the Arakhora race will die for their land as they have no other place to go. The Arakhora came to live within the forest after they were first used as the primary race of the Chaos God that created them in Tzeneech of whom dealt with their civil war against him in the fade by banishing all the non-loyalists to him to Earth where they became the slaves of Humans throughout Europe. They isolated themselves into the forests where they fought a losing battle against the Trollocs of which ended with them controlling little more then sporadic forests throughout Croatia. Even these forests were beginning to be threatened and it looked as if the Arakhora would fall until the rise of Kandor would save their race and provide a tool for growth that hand`t existed for centuries. The Rise of Kandor begin under the birth of Terrok of whom was an Arrakhora that had extensive intelligence and led his people under the banner of Kandor conquering a vast swathe of land and killing thousands of Trolloc surrounding them, and greatly expanding Terokkar Forest.

Geography

Kandor

Green is Kandor

The Empire of Kandor is located in central Croatia, and surrounds the great lake of Croatia in Lake Grogen, which the Arakhora call Raven Lake. The Empire is surrounded to the east by the Visigoth tribes, to the west by Estalia, Dol Amroth, and Mordor to the North. This surrounded behavior has led to a long history of isolationism which has obviously led to their current state.

Climate

The Climate of the Empire of Kandor remains nearly the same wherever you go. The special trees that they plant spread their forests wherever they expand to, and because of this the enviroment is nearly the same across the entire Kingdom. Area to the south become warmer, and the areas near the north of the Empire see snowfalls during the winter time.

Terrokar Forest

Main Article : Terrokar Forest

The Terrokar Forest is a very large forest, and the home of the Empire of Kandor and the Arrakhora Race making it a very influencial forest. Terrokar Forest is constantly changing in size as the Arrakhora that live within the forest have become experts at gathering, and planting the Olemba Tree of which they have used to expand the Terrokar Forest, and in turn expand out their own forest Empire.

This forest was most likely named after Terokk, the arakkoa demigod of some sort, and the founder of the Empire of Kandor. Formerly it was known as Talador.

History

Early History

Most non-Arakhora only know the stories of a hero named Terokk, told by exiles to the adventurers who travel from the region. Terokk is said to have built the city of Skettis with his own claws, and ruled as one of its most powerful kings for centuries before he disappeared without a trace, leaving behind his relics: his spear, his mask and his writings. During his reign, members of the lowest caste of the arakkoa people were sacrificed by his talonpriests to the dark powers they worshipped.

Even today, his minions work in his name to commit evils throughout Terokkar Forest . At Veil Shienor and Veil Reskk, the Eyes of Skettis allow Terokk to spy on those areas. At Veil Skith, the arakkoa use the Darkstone of Terokk as an altar of worship. At Veil Rhaze, Terokk raises the spirits of the dead arakkoa killed in the Auchindoun explosion. At Veil Lithic, his minions corrupt the avians into his service. At Veil Shalas, the closest colony to Skettis, the arakkoa sages conduct wars against the Light. When Terokk disappeared, the talonpriests began actively seeking to return him to their world.

Growth

With the internal conflict of Terokk over the Arakhora descended into centuries of stagnation and failure inside their forests. The Empire was nowhere and their prospects were looking like they were going to be taken over by the Thrace Empire more and more. This came to an end with the birth of Makir, who was a member of the ruling caste with the ambition of making the Kandor massive.

Makir spent almost sixty years building relationships, alliances within the Kandor in the belief that if he did this he could gather the support of the rulers to change the way Kandor was going. As his control over the top echolon of the Arahora continued the people begin to call out for Makir to be named the new Emperor of Kandor, and the first since the golden age of Kandor. The ruling elite believed that if they allowed the powerful Makir to completely control things, then they would find themselves eliminated by him as well.

War with Mordor

Region-terrokar-forest-full

The Empire of Mordor had become obsessed with Gondor, and had missed the rise of Kandor. Kandor's rise would change the foundation of Mordor as the Arakhora were relentless in their desire to destroy the Orcs, and Sauron.

You heard about it in passing in first. Some bird men attacking the Dark Lord, and burning Orcs by their thousands in battle. It wasn't until you saw the White branches, and olive covered trees that you actually realized these birds were a serious threat.
Anora Theirin

With the rise of the Talon King Makir there also came a massive discovery for the Arrakhora in the form of the discovery of the Dis of Apexis of which was said to have been writen by Terrok himself, and detailed the excistence of the devil of their religion more, and the details pointed nearly directly at Sauron being the Devil of their beliefs. WIth this discovery the Darkweavers pushed with all of their influence to attack Mordor, and this happened with the sacking of the Kingdom of Grisnet of which was an evil vassal kingdom of Mordor sitting on the border of Kandor.

Goverment

The Empire of Kandor is governed by a Triumverate that is self controlled in that each member of the Triumverate is only responsible for specific duties, and is by tradition not allowed to take part in roles of the other members, and as the roles are usually caste based this is added to by the fact that the other caste may not be physically capable of the role anyway. The third and final element of the Triumverate is the Raven Lords and born of the distinct Arakhora Caste of the Tevinkhora they control the military of Kandor and stand as the generals, commanders, and foot soldiers in the armies of Kandor.

These leaders are all members of the ruling caste of the Araokhora who are basically immortal in their life spans. While nearly 99% of all Arakhora are born as normal Arakhora their is a small number born as members of the distinct ruling caste called the Mennetrikhora, and these Arakhora are near immortal in their life spans.

Talon King

The Talon King is the Arakhora equivalent to a King or an Empire. The main difference is that he is not allowed to become involved in the religion of the Arakhora, or to interfere to much into the military of the Arakhora. In this way the Talon King is very much an administrator and those working in this section are mainly of the aristocratic part of the Arakhora.

The Talon King and all those within his royal house of contol are all members of the Mennetrikhora subsect of the Arakhora. This is the main seperation between them and the other two goverment grouping of Kandor, with only small numbers of Mennetrikhora within the Darkweavers, and none allowed within the Raven Lords.

Ikiss Makir

Talon King Arakhora

Talon King Ikiss

Ikiss Makir is the Emperor of the Empire of Kandor, and in this role he is the son of the previous Talon King of Kandor in the form of Ikiss Manek. Ikiss Makir is a member of the extremely rare subsect of theArakhora race called the Mennetrikhora, and this means that he has near immortal life span. Ikiss has many siblings of which the most important is Ikiss Drusten of whome is also a Mennetrikhora subsect of the Arakhora and because of this he has become a member of the ruling elite of Kandor.

Ikiss Makir was born into a time when Kandor was going nowhere and their prospects were looking like they were going to be taken over by the Thrace Empire more and more. This came to an end with the birth of Makir, who was a member of the ruling caste with the ambition of making the Kandor massive. Makir begin uplifting the broken Darkweavers into a force that everyone could believe in, and at the same time would be in his sphere of influence. As the Darkweavers grew so to did their mission of uplifting the Kandor people into an Empire that would never again be threatened by anyone again.

Darkweavers

The Darkweavers are the spiritual, and economic leaders of the Arakhora Empire of Kandor. The Darkweavers could be further split into two sections with the first being the Darkweavers who control the religion of the Empire of Kandor, and the second grouping being the darkweavers that control and maintain the economic engine of the Empire of Kandor.

Skettis

The Arakhora live within their large Tree Cities or "Viels" of which the largest is the capital of Skettis of which is one of the most populated cities in the entire continent. Many times a single tribe will dominate an entire Viel, and it is only in a Viel as populated as Skettis, or Metirk that there is more then one tribe living within the Viel.

Arakhora Castes

The Arakhora race is split into four main branches of its race, and while each of them is different the overall Arakhora race is still one but has different branches much in the way of ethnicities for the human race. The first are the Attrakhora and they are by far the most numerous, and they form the soldiers, tradesmen, and laborors of the Arakhora race, and the Empire of Kandor. The second are Tevinkora and they are the warriors of the Arakhoara and this is seen by the fact that they have far more feathers of which the added feathers are hardier, and provide physical defences, while the Tevinkora are also usually atleast a foot or more taller then all the other Arakhora outside of the Selinkhora. The third are the Selinkhora and they are very similar to the Mennetrikhora in that they are extremely long lived to the point of near immortality, but they differ in that they are the only flight capable Arakhora, and are also two feet taller then the rest of the Arakhora, and a foot taller then the average Tevinkhora. The final Caste is the Mennetrikhora and these are distinct in that they are immortal in their ability to age, and also they appear extremely frail when not consealed by their massive amount of feathers of which they have evolved into using in order to protect their extremely weak phsysical nature.

Most Arakhora worship the living Arakhora god Terokk. This influence holds true of basically 90% of the Arakhora population although a growing number are turning to Anzu and his beliefs.

Terokk

Main Article : Terokk

Terokk is the religion worshipped by nearly the entire Arakhora race, and is of the most importance to Kandor. He is one the two living gods of the Arakhora and has a rivalry with the other living god Anzu.

Terokk is the god of the arakkoa. Isfar says Terokk was the arakkoa's greatest hero who built Skettis with his bare claws, then one day disappeared, and may have been the god Rukhmar. He has his "eyes" set at Veil Shienor and Veil Reskk, so he can watch over these colonies from Skettis and a Darkstone at Veil Skith.

He has also done acts perceived as evil by a group of arakkoa renegades led by Kirrik the Awakened and his apprentice, Rilak the Redeemed, who see Terokk as a false prophet who will lead their people to their doom. These evil doings include raising the spirits of the defenders of Veil Rhaze (destroyed by the explosion that all but obliterated Auchindoun and created the Bone Wastes) as well as setting his minions to corrupt avian hatchlings at Veil Lithic, and coordinating with his forward sages at Veil Shalas, where they wage war against the Light.

Anzu

Anzu

Main Article : Anzu

From the darkest night shall rise again the raven, shall take flight in the shadows, shall reveal the nature of its kind. Prepare yourself for its coming, for the faithful shall be elevated to take flight with the raven, the rest be forgotten to walk upon the ground, clipped wings and shame. Steel your minds and guard your thoughts. The dark wings will cloud and consume the minds of the weak, a flock of thralls whose feet may never leave the ground. The old blood will flow once again with the coming of the raven, the return of the darkness in the skies. Scarlet night, and the rise of the old. The raven was struck down once for flying too high, unready. The eons have prepared the Dark Watcher for its ascent, to draw the dark cloak across the horizon.

-The Holy Rapture of Anzu

Anzu is a god worshipped by a small but increasingly growing number of Arakhora . Anzu is one of the two living gods of the Arakhora, and for this reason Anzu battles Terokk for control of the soul of the Arakhora.
