Geography

Kandor

Green is Kandor

The Empire of Kandor is located in central Croatia, and surrounds the great lake of Croatia in Lake Grogen, which the Arakhora call Raven Lake.

The Empire is surrounded to the east by the Visigoth tribes, to the west by Estalia, Dol Amroth, and Mordor to the North.

Climate

The Climate of the Empire of Kandor remains nearly the same wherever you go. The special trees that they plant spread their forests wherever they expand to, and because of this the enviroment is nearly the same across the entire Kingdom.

Area to the south become warmer, and the areas near the north of the Empire see snowfalls during the winter time.

History

Early History

Most non-Arakhora only know the stories of a hero named Terokk, told by exiles to the adventurers who travel from the region. Terokk is said to have built the city of Skettis with his own claws, and ruled as one of its most powerful kings for centuries before he disappeared without a trace, leaving behind his relics: his spear, his mask and his writings. During his reign, members of the lowest caste of the arakkoa people were sacrificed by his talonpriests to the dark powers they worshipped.

Even today, his minions work in his name to commit evils throughout Terokkar Forest . At Veil Shienor and Veil Reskk, the Eyes of Skettis allow Terokk to spy on those areas. At Veil Skith, the arakkoa use the Darkstone of Terokk as an altar of worship. At Veil Rhaze, Terokk raises the spirits of the dead arakkoa killed in the Auchindoun explosion. At Veil Lithic, his minions corrupt the avians into his service. At Veil Shalas, the closest colony to Skettis, the arakkoa sages conduct wars against the Light. When Terokk disappeared, the talonpriests began actively seeking to return him to their world.

Growth

With the internal conflict of Terokk over the Arakhora descended into centuries of stagnation and failure inside their forests. The Empire was nowhere and their prospects were looking like they were going to be taken over by the Thrace Empire more and more. This came to an end with the birth of Makir, who was a member of the ruling caste with the ambition of making the Kandor massive.

Makir spent almost sixty years building relationships, alliances within the Kandor in the belief that if he did this he could gather the support of the rulers to change the way Kandor was going., the Kandor came to decide on their first Emperor who was born

Goverment

The leadership of the Arakhora, and through extension the Empire of Kandor is basically a distinctly different grouping of three sections. The First section is the Talon King, who controls the laws, and growth of the Empire of Kandor, and acts much in the way a King of a normal Kingdom would. The second section are the Darkweavers, and they control the Arakhora industry, Magi, and the governing of the religion of the Arakhora. The final section is the Raven Lords, and they control the military of the Arakhora

These leaders are all members of the ruling caste of the Araokhora who are basically immortal in their life spans. While nearly 99% of all Arakhora are born as normal Arakhora their is a small number born as members of the distinct ruling caste called the Mennetrikhora, and these Arakhora are near immortal in their life spans.

Talon King

The Talon King is the Arakhora equivalent to a King or an Empire. The main difference is that he is not allowed to become involved in the religion of the Arakhora, or to interfere to much into the military of the Arakhora. In this way the Talon King is very much an administrator and those working in this section are mainly of the aristocratic part of the Arakhora.

The Talon King and all those within his royal house of contol are all members of the Mennetrikhora subsect of the Arakhora. This is the main seperation between them and the other two goverment grouping of Kandor, with only small numbers of Mennetrikhora within the Darkweavers, and none allowed within the Raven Lords.

Darkweavers

The Darkweavers are the spiritual, and economic leaders of the Arakhora Empire of Kandor. The Darkweavers could be further split into two sections with the first being the Darkweavers who control the religion of the Empire of Kandor, and the second grouping being the darkweavers that control and maintain the economic engine of the Empire of Kandor.

Noteable Members of the Darkweavers

Arakhora 2
Darkweaver Joulit

Main Article : Joulit

Darkweaver Joulit is the head of all things economy wise in the Empire of Kandor. Under a normal Kingdom of Europe he would be deemed fabulously rich, and it would definetly be possible for him to gain fabulous amounts of personal wealth. This is obviously tempered by the training the Darkweavers undergo, as well as because of the non-greedy nature of the Arakhora.

Joulit is a member of the Lithic Tribe of Arakhora

Darkweaver Kratillik

Main Article : Kratillik

Darkweaver Kratillik is a staunch believer in Terokk and is basically the second hand man of Terokk himself. Terokk is believed by many to be the father of Kratillik and this would definetly explain the immense closeness of Terokk to Kratillik considering how distanced he keeps himself from most of the Darkweavers.

Kratillik is a member of the Skithian Tribe of the Arakhora.

Darkweaver Ipix

Main Article : Ipix

Darkweaver Ipix is a staunch believer in the living god Terokk. From an early age he visited the home of Terokk, and each time he visited he was never able to see Terokk as on the moments when Terokk allowed himself to be asked questions from the people of Kandor, he was constantly busy, and this made Ipix miss out. The fact that he's never spoken to the god he worships is no problem for Ipix as he believes that when he is deserving then Terokk will summon him, and fufill all the dreams that Ipix has.

While serving Ipix is the leader of the Magi users within the Arakhora, and his power within the Fade is deemed legendary even amongst the Magi sensitive Arakhora.

Ipix is a member of the Skettis tribe of the Arakhora.

Raven Lords

The Raven Lords are the masters and commanders of the military of the Empire of Kandor. The Raven Lords take their name interestingly enough from the living god of the Arakhora Anzu, and although they maintain neutrality and allow their soilders to worship whichever of the two they choose, there is some that speak of a secretive bias amongst the most powerful of the Raven Lords.

Noteable Members of the Ravel Lords

Raven Lord Krisnee

Main Article :Krisnee

Raven Lord Krisnee is as hardnosed as the Arakhora come. He enters battle in the garb of the Raven Knights, and this is basically a fully armored soilder who is full encumbered by the unique armor of the Arakhora which is a mixture of the Bark of the Mexint Tree, and Granite stone.

Krisnee is a member of the Sethekk tribe of the Arakhora.

Raven Lord Vekh

Main Article : Vekh

Vekh would be seen by many on the outside as a rogue. He controls and trains the members of the Kandor army that use hit and run tactics, as well as the truly devestating suicide attacks that are launched by the Kandor. His influence on the Kandor army is greater then just his training as he changed much of the use of the Kaliri, from their original use as a food source to a now war tool. This alone would have cemented his legacy in Kandor, but he continues to gain fame through his nearly perfect record on the field of battle.

Vekh is a member of the Skettis tribe of the Arakhora.

Religion

Most Arakhora worship the living Arakhora god Terokk. This influence holds true of basically 90% of the Arakhora population although a growing number are turning to Anzu and his beliefs.

Terokk the Living Arakhora God.

Terokk

Main Article : Terokk Terokk is the religion worshipped by nearly the entire Arakhora race, and is of the most importance to Kandor. He is one the two living gods of the Arakhora and has a rivalry with the other living god Anzu.

Terokk is the god of the arakkoa. Isfar says Terokk was the arakkoa's greatest hero who built Skettis with his bare claws, then one day disappeared, and may have been the god Rukhmar. He has his "eyes" set at Veil Shienor and Veil Reskk, so he can watch over these colonies from Skettis and a Darkstone at Veil Skith.

He has also done acts perceived as evil by a group of arakkoa renegades led by Kirrik the Awakened and his apprentice, Rilak the Redeemed, who see Terokk as a false prophet who will lead their people to their doom. These evil doings include raising the spirits of the defenders of Veil Rhaze (destroyed by the explosion that all but obliterated Auchindoun and created the Bone Wastes) as well as setting his minions to corrupt avian hatchlings at Veil Lithic, and coordinating with his forward sages at Veil Shalas, where they wage war against the Light.

Anzu

Anzu

Main Article : Anzu From the darkest night shall rise again the raven, shall take flight in the shadows, shall reveal the nature of its kind. Prepare yourself for its coming, for the faithful shall be elevated to take flight with the raven, the rest be forgotten to walk upon the ground, clipped wings and shame. Steel your minds and guard your thoughts. The dark wings will cloud and consume the minds of the weak, a flock of thralls whose feet may never leave the ground. The old blood will flow once again with the coming of the raven, the return of the darkness in the skies. Scarlet night, and the rise of the old. The raven was struck down once for flying too high, unready. The eons have prepared the Dark Watcher for its ascent, to draw the dark cloak across the horizon.

-The Holy Rapture of Anzu

Anzu is a god worshipped by a small but increasingly growing number of Arakhora . Anzu is one of the two living gods of the Arakhora, and for this reason Anzu battles Terokk for control of the soul of the Arakhora.
