Mathis Kilgor is the son of two drifting merchants in the lands of The Empire of which sold him to a slave trader in Westbridge from where he built up his wealth on his own, but before selling him he was a member of House Tantenburg. Mathis Kilgor has one sibling in the form of Freja Tantenburg and she is a girl that he knew about only through the news that his parents had a daughter of whome they had sold in the same way that they had sold his sister, and following her being bought from slavery she has become the Patriarch of House Tantenburg. Mathis Kilgor used his skill to become a member of the diplomatic clique inside the Kingdom of Lucerne during the reign of Bill Lovie, and this led him to being married to Corina Kilgor of whome following the marriage he became a member of House Kilgor. With Corina Kilgor he has three children in the form of Menno, Ottila, and Corina Kilgor II. of which Menno is a significant young member of the House Kilgor forces, while Ottila, and Corina are both fifteen and thirteen and havnt become important as of yet.
