Orsen Stout is the son of Henrik, and Larra Stout making him a member of House Stout. Orsen Stout is bethrothed to Sasha Lovejoy during the events preceding the Siege of Lotten and the two get to know eachother quite well during the siege.

Orsen Stout was born the second son of Henrik Stout and at an early age showed signs of loving the sword. He was sent to squire with Halys Hornwood and during this time was sent to the Dreadfort alongside Daryn Hornwood in order to provide the necessary hostage for the Boltens. During this time he became best friends with Daryn Hornwood, and was released alongside Daryn when Domeric their other friend released them. Orsen Stout is commanded to lead the delegation of Lucerne around Hornwood in order to show them Hornwood, and at the same time give the Hornwood more time to think about what there going to do. His charisma would create quite the chemistry between Orsen, and Sasha Lovejoy of which would eventually leading to during the negotiations Orsen`s brother Stefon the Lord of House Stout asking for a bethrothel of the two.
