Pitch Black is a series of single chapter stories that are basically horror or haloween related, but due add to the overall storyline, and are thus canon. The first chapter was a story that deals with the madness of Ephraim Black, and the consequences of this on the POV character of Rebecca Black of whom stumbles upon his madness and has her entire life defined by these moment of pure fear. The second chapter was based on Quinn James and her escape from Tree HIll during the Fall of the city. The third element of the story is the life of Kate Denali of whom is taken in by Joffrey Lannister, and the subsequent actions after this. While the final element is the life of Welsia Brenfurd of whom would be captured alongside Quinn James but was kept by Tristifer Longmouth and after years of torture joined the Order of the Three Sins.
The Order of the Three Sins becomes the overiding antoagonist throughout the story with all three of the girls becoming the target of massive abuse and menipulation by the members of the Order of the Three Sins.
Pitch Black begin after Chapter Two of End of Darkness in which Alice Lovie, and Bella Swan were walking and were approached by Ephraim Black of whom later Bella described as a dark man. His story would unfold during Pitch Black when he attacked Rebecca Black, and as of yet what importance this has for the story is unknown.

Chapter 2
Quinn James is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she gets out of bed following being intimate with Clayton Scott of whom she discusses as being the person she is desperately in love with, and it is at this point we learn she is only thirteen years old, and Clayton nearly eighteen is silently shown to be a manipulative man as he talks to her as if she is his slave. Clayton leaves the room and Quinn falls back to sleep, and she is eventually woken up by her friend Welsia Brenfurd of whom she talks with for some time and from her thoughts we learn that Welsia is her best friend but also someone who Quinn tries to keep at a distance due to the fact that she knows Welsia has romantic feelings for her.

Welsia Brenfurd is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she waits outside the chambers of Quinn James and from her thoughts we learn that she holds romantic feelings for her lady in waiting but as she listens into the room and hears the intimate noises of Quinn and Clayton Scott she cannot help but feel resentment towards Quinn for not seeing what Clayton really is. Waiting outside the chambers she hears movement and realizing that Clayton will be leaving she attempts to hide but is unable to hide from him and upon discovering her there Clayton takes her by the hand forcing her into a closet where he proceeds to rape Welsia but it is clear from his words following the rape that he does not realize what he is doing, and despite her tears he declares his affection for Welsia before leaving.

Quinn James is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she. The chapter ends with Quinn heading outside of Tree Hill with Clary, Welsia, and Irena where they plan to pick flowers from the gardens north of Tree Hill.
Chapter 7
Kate Denali is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she wakes up in bed with the naked bodies of both Alwine, and Taylor draped across her while Matilda is dressed and in the room putting out breakfest. Beggining to cry after remembering what happened to her its Matilda that hears this and comes to her putting a hand over her mouth and whispering in her ear to remain calm and not to show shes upset or else there will be consequences to her. Fearful of what will happen she lays in silence until Matilda has finished preparing breakfest and Matilda then wakes up both Alwine and Taylor and then with Alwine taking Kate by the hand they all sit at the table and eat breakfest together with Kate barely able to keep the food down but fear keeps her strong.

Welsia Brenfurd is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is woken up by Quinn James, Caryl Todrinnel, and Irena Pondell of whom tell her that they are going to the gardens north of the city to pick flowers which Quinn plans to give to Clayton and Welsia almost throws up at the sound of Clayton's name, but pushes through and gets dressed before following the girls out of the city.

Kate Denali is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she travels to Brill where she arrives at the city with her father of whom is meeting with members of House Swift of which she is introduced to Taylor Swift of whom she initially does not like due to having the same name as Taylor Shephard but the two begin to bond over the pain they both suffered by men with little morals. Kate Denali is taken by Taylor Swift northward where they visit Hrothgar a place the religious Kate Denali had always dreamed of visiting and reaching the top of the Peak they pray together at the entrance to the temple although neither are able to enter due to their non-priest titles. Kate Denali walking back down the mighty steps of Hrothgar is told by Taylor Swift that she should visit the Temple of Gorgentile which is located in the Region of Castamere, and driven by the stories Taylor tells her she is able to convinse her father to let her go once she and Taylor return to Brill.

Making her way to the temple she goes by herself after the carriage breaks down and she takes the horse alone to the nearbye Temple where she begins to pray but is interupted in this by the arrival of several men who carry strange sigils on their shields.
