Stor

Stor is a very large Gothic city located in northern Westros, and lies as the capital of the Kingdom of Stor. Stor itself is one of the more ancient cities of the already ancient Westros, and it was from Stor that the Kingdom of Stor would start out after it was founded by the ancient Gothic House Stor who came in from the east.

Stor is heavily populated, and within the walls of Stor lie almost a hundred thousand souls, thus making it one of the larger cities in Westros. Amongst the dominent population of Goths in Stor there exists a sizeable amount of the remaining Atlantians still within Stor. The Atlantians survive in Stor mainly because of the fact that Arnor surrendered, but also due in large part to the fact that the members, and leadership of House Stor have had little interest in wiping out loyal members of their Kingdom for no reason other then racism.

Stor is dominated by the massive castle that lies at its center, but surrounding the castle is the walled in city, thus making the city very heavily defended as it is actually a castle with a swelling population in a lot of ways.

Stor was originally a small castle occupied by the forces of the Empire of Numeron, and during this time it was a small and unimportant area as the mainstray of the conflict was in different areas. When the Empire of Numeron collapsed the forces of Arnor would take control of the region of Stor and its great castle of Stor. Under Arnor Stor would grow larger with a city growing around the outside, but the main problem became this growth was focused amongst the incoming Goths that were flooding into Westros. Eventually unable to resist the rise of the Goths the forces of Arnor gave rise to House Stor who they believed would act as a client of sorts but still keep control of the region for Arnor. The collapse of this relationship was the rise of the White Walkers to the north, and the fact that no longer were Arnor and Stor connected as easily as they once were. Stor itself would be besieged by the rampaging forces of the White Walkers, and only after a great battle were they finally pushed back to the boundaries within the Frostfang Mountains. After this the city of Stor, and the entire Stor region would grow to become the main powerbase of northwestern Westros, and its capital was the envy of many of the wandering bands of roving tribes east of them.
