Aeducan Thaig is a medium sized Dwaren Thaig located within the Kingdom of Karak Izor, and its location lies southwest of Home Valley and the Dwaren Hold itself. This location has meant that the Thaig is one of the most sheltered locations in the Kingdom, and because of this there are a dispraportionate number of smiths, and crafter that lie in this Thaig. Clan Snowblown rules over Thaig Aeducan, and they have done this since they first entered the Thaig centuries before, and currently they are ruled by Gori Snowblown of whom is a just and fair leader of the Thaig, while their senate position is held by the well respected Dori Snowblown.

Underneath Clan Snowblown is Clan Bronzebottom of whom are the second most powerful Clan in the Thaig, while behind them are Clan Errent, and Clan Goldbottom.

Aeducan Thaig was founded during the hayday of the Dwares of the Lucerne Mountains, and it was used as a means of epediating trade between the Dwares and Eles. When the Elves left the land the Hold became a center for smithing, and crafting, and this continued into the days of the Driing Tide. As the only Thaig other then Haedin Thaig that was unhit during the Driing they hae become ery aluable as a source of armor, weapons, and materials. Following the conflict with the Goblins they were at the forefront of the relationship with Lucerne, and they lost several members during the Bloody Supper as there was a sizeable Dwarven population living in Lucerne following the growth in the two people's alliance.

History

Founding

Aeducan Thaig was founded during the heyday of the Dwarves of the Lucerne Mountains, and it was used as a means of epediating trade between the Dwarves and Elves. During this time much of the expansion within the Thaig occured, and they would expand to the point that they nearly reached the level of being a Hold in their own right but their expansion would slow quite noticeably when the Elves departed Europe.

Crafting

When the Elves left the land the Hold became a center for smithing, and crafting, and this continued into the days of the Driving Tide.

As the only Thaig other then Haedin Thaig that was not attacked by the Goblins during the Driving Tide they have become very valuable as a source of armor, weapons, and materials.

The Underfort

The Underfort I come here on the wishes of the King of the Valley. My brother wishes for the two of us to become friends again. Too much has happened between our two people for us to ever be as indifferent to each other as my father forced upon us.

The Dwarves were the first step in rebuilding what our father had lost us. ” — Alice Lovie With the conquest of the Riverlands, and Fairmarket, the situation in the east was dramatically becoming one of major strength for Lucerne, but Alice and William discussed the need to rebuild ties with the Dwarves if nothing else then to secure their rear. Alice would command the construction of a small fort called the Underfort northward from the direction the Underway had went. The Underfort was constructed close to two mountain valleys of which they were able to get into using old Dwarven tunnels, and inside the valleys (mainly the western one named the Valley of Drael) they would construct farms which would feed the population in the Underfort and form a home for those living in the fort. Using maps they had in the House Lovie library they were able to make their way north enough to be met by Dwarves from Thaig Aeducan. Telling the forces in the Underfort that they wished to meet with the Dwarves the meeting was accepted and the Dwarves sent a large diplomatic troop to meet them at the Underfort. Alice Lovie would gather a force of some one hundred men at arms, and Leven Martell, Nicoli Machieveli, as well as several other nobles and head to the Underfort where she planned to meet with the Dwarves. Thaig Aeducan under Clan Snowblown understood they needed the human assistence and were more then willing to entertain alliance talk. “I had no reason to believe the Dwarves were anything but our allies. In his own writing my father had spoke of how he had been insulted by the leader of the Dwarves years before and since then had gone out of his way to cut off contact. ” — Alice Lovie The meeting took place in the Underfort and Alice would meet with Dori Snowblown of whom introduced himself as the Senator for the Thaig of Aeducan. They would meet for several days and over this time Dori would explain to Alice much about the history of the Valley of Lucerne, as well as the mountains. Revealing to her that despite the assertions of her father the Goblins were not defeated after the Driving Tide, but in fact were slowly overwhelming the Dwarves due to their superior ability to replace losses. Dori would send one of his sons in Tori Snowblown to go with them, and he became the squire of Leven Martell despite his vastly superior age. Alongside this trade deals were signed and promices made of further advancement of their relationships. The Rise of Lucerne I saw the destruction of the world, and knew I had to stop it. There was nothing left to do but become bigger then everyone else. The Empire was never going to be the beacon the world needed it to be. Westros was on fire. The Bretonians had reached for the stars and been burned. And the old shadow of Numeron was fading far too quickly. It was left to us in Lucerne to change the fate of all those who wished to reject darkness. We were the last hope for a world who had long since given up on believing. "I was born in Karak Mulgar.
