The Dragon's Game is a story based around the lives of six noble girls from the Valley of Lucerne who become involved in the work of the White Dovah. The story is mainly centered on the Grand State of the Crownlands with Sophia Wedway, Larra Tachnert, and Eleonore Scarlet joined by two more from the town of Brill in the form of Anna Kendrick, and Taylor Swift, as well as Atlantian Seri-Relisia Terrick and the things that they go through. The Dragon's Game begin as an offshoot of the Lost One's as Anna Kendrick is a best friend of Orival Crane of whom she is in love with, but things always get in the way of the two of them romantically. The story goes into details about the dark direction that both Lornax, and Vlarenix are willing to take in order to push their agenda through both The Nightmares of Anna, and the
Sophia Wedway, Larra Tachnert, Taylor Swift, Seri-Relisia Terrick, Eleonore Scarlet, and Anna Kendrick are the six POV Characters of the story, and this leads to traveling into the pathways of many other stories POV Characters, but mainly opening up areas of Lucerne that are mentioned in the main story, but only briefly. While these are the six POV Characters there are also three major dovah that are heavily involved in the form of Lornax, Vlarenix, and Septemax of whom push the POV characters down the paths they will eventually go.
The Dragon's Game deals heavily with the silent but extensive efforts by the White Dovah of Lucerne to interfere in the affairs of the Kingdom of Lucerne in the aftermath of the major event known as the Meeting of Celes Pinnacle.
The Dragon's Game centers around the area of Brill for much of the story, but both of the characters travel extensively. Taylor Swift becomes valuable in her role in the Order of the Dragon and goes to Lorderon, and other places in order to push the religion of Dragonoph, and to help those who are already believers with many issues. In the case of Anna Kendrick she travels extensively as well especially into the south where she visits Highgarden and the lands of southern Lucerne where her friendships there are the main reason for these travels.

Eleonore Scarlet is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is sitting at prayer within the Great Temple of Glaurung when she is shaken by the door into the Temple smashing open revealing two women, and a man who smash the door closed behind them. The three do not notice her and she is able to hide herself behind a pillar as they start yelling at each other, and listening for a moment she is startled from behind as Gerwine Holderlin a prominent priestess covers her mouth from screaming before motioning for her to be silent. Gerwine steps out into the argument revealing herself but they three indicate they felt her before she had entered the room, and Eleonore questions why they didn't sense her then. Gerwine names the three as Kieth Schwartz (who Eleonore knows as he is quite prominent in the government), Vlarenix, and (both of whom Eleonore does not recognize) and then is referred to by Kieth as Flarnax. The arguing eventually ends with Kieth telling them that he will no longer help them or hide them, and that from this moment forward his only goal is protecting James to whatever end that leads him. As Kieth leaves the remaining three keep talking for a time but this two is interrupted by Eleonore accidentally dropping her copy of The Testament of Ysgramor and this leads to her being forced to reveal herself. The moment they see her she watches as Gerwine gives her a depressed look before standing between her and the two women, but despite attempting to block them its the one called Vlarenix that moves past Flarnax and begins inspecting Eleonore.

“Tonight, the priestess will bring you a drink. The drink is meant to force you to be truthful with them. You must not fear this. It will have a different effect on you.” “What effect?” “It will cause you to enter the fade.” “I’m not ready for that.” “You are. This was always where this was going Relisia.” “I’m scared.” “You have no need to fear this Relisia. This is a safe space in the fade. You are invisible to those things that would do you harm.” “What is the goal here mother?” It felt strange to still call her mother. We both knew she wasn’t my mother. I guess it felt better than trying to come to term with what her being here in the form of my mother meant. The colors feel different. The air feels different. She can feel herself starting to have difficulty breathing. The panic is spreading over her, and she lets out a scream as she watches the roof of the building fall apart. As she screams the rooms around her wash away, and as her panic gets worse, she cannot stop herself from screaming. Her screaming only stops when she feels a change in the air. Looking around her all the rooms are destroyed. She can see her friends at prayer. She sees the priestess talking to them and can hear their words back to the priests. Above all this though she sees a great cloud rising from the west. The cloud gets closer and closer, but she doesn’t feel fear. The cloud makes her feel safe. The safety beckons for her and she begins running towards it. Running away from the words of her friends. Running away from the destroyed temple. She is just sprinting towards the cloud. Sprinting to the safety is sends her. She reaches the edge of the Grand Temple and running through the street she can make out the cloud. Below the cloud is a figure also running. As the two get closer she can make it out and realizes the figure is William. |
Chapter 9[]
Anna Kendrick is the POV Character of this chapter and during the beggining of the chapter she is hiding in the forest crying when she is found by Orival Crane the heir to House Crane of whom she immediately clings to crying into his chest. Once she has returned to the castle she begins to like life at Castle Crane as the fact that she is with Orival Crane being spoken to kindly by him seems to give the other girls a sign that there is something to her, and many including Melia Grant are kind to her over the following weeks.

Taylor Swift is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she and Juno Cera continue to grow closer, and she spends increasing time at the Dragonoph Temple where she grows close to the Dragonoph Priest Karolina Norstoga of whom is the aunt of one of the girls who has tormented Taylor during her time at school. Growing close to Karolina she comes to discover the horrible home life that Emma Norstogo was facing at home and realizing that she begins to feel that perhaps she judged the girls who abused her too harshly and must find a way to look past what has happened and find peace.

Taylor Swift is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is spending time with some of the girls at the academy of Brill where she finds without Anna Kendrick leading them the girls are not quite as bad as they were when she was there. Becoming closer friends with Karolina Norstoga she takes Karolina with her as she Juno, and several House Swift guardsmen are going north to the Temple of Hrothgar. Arriving with the group she spends more time at High Hrothgar and after waiting for hours in the snow praying among hundreds of other prospective applicants to High Hrothgar she is given her chance when a women clad in dark grey comes to her and taps her on the shoulder and after this she is picked up by two heavily armored knights and brought through the gates of High Hrothgar where she finds just a massive open courtyard. Unsure of what to do she wants to talk to the guards but with the rules of High Hrothgar being that you can only speak when spoken to by a Greybeard she begins to panic, but feels calm when she sees a wall at the other side of the courtyard where there is draconic writing all across it, and as she stares at it she begins to hear voices in her head. Approaching the wall the voices lead her to touch it but when she does she feels herself leave her body and enters a vast nothing but clouds where she is overcome by many visions until finally the visions end and she wakes up back outside the courtyard back where she was before the women had tapped her on the shoulder. Unable to say anything or lift her head due to the rules of High Hrothgar. Remaining at prayer for hours she begins to doubt what happened, and when the bell chimes signalling them to leave she sadly returns to the House of the Adepts of Aerene where she finds a bed and goes to bed crying silently to herself. The chapter ends with Taylor returning to Brill where overwhelmed by a feeling of despair over what she believes was her failure at High Hrothgar she is in a fog when her mother introduces her to her new personal guard in the form of Florius Novellius.

Taylor Swift is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she stands at the southern tower of Brill alongside Juno Cera and Karolina watching as the boat arrives to bring Anna Kendrick back to their world, and despite Karolina saying how many people love her now she is still quite scared at what Anna's return will mean for her. Going to sleep Taylor experiences a dream like nothing she has ever had before when she enters a place she recognizes as Lucerne but as she in the dream she speaks with a boy she doesn't recognize and the two of them spend hours in the dream just talking. As the nights go by she continues to dream the same way and no matter what she does she finds herself drifting towards this place, and the boy that she begins to fall deeply in love with as the two grow closer and closer. Taylor during this time is also building a relationship with Florius of whom treats her with great kindness and respect but she is torn by her increasing love for the boy in her dreams. As her relationship with William expands in the Fade and her time with Florius also improves its Taylor that leaves Brill for a trip with Karolina to several small Dragonoph Temples in northern Brill. The chapter ends with Taylor returning to Brill where she is met at the gates by Anna Kendrick who she agrees to talk with and during this talk Anna apologizes for what she had done to Taylor before she left, promices to be a better person from this day forward.

Sophia Wedway II. is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is sitting at her desk writing a letter to Matilda when she is interrupted by a knock on the door. Opening the door, she sees Ortinax on the other side and she bids her come inside. The two talk and Ortinax tells her that she is to go to see a Magi named Hanzal Leenet who she will offer help with the Grove network in exchange for the two working together thus enabling her to rise more in prominence. Meeting with Hanzal she can hear the voice of Ortinax in her mind who guides her through what she doesn’t understand about the Grove network, and with this help he is completely taken in by her knowledge and agrees to work with her in exchange for assistance with the Groves. Sophia goes against the wishes of Ortinax when she asks Hanzal to work to have her brother Mathias released from his imprisonment, and despite Ortinax telling her to stop she can resist long enough to have him agree to this.

Chapter 25[]
Anna Kendrick is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she and Taylor have grown closer due mainly to Anna becoming a better person while she was in Crane, and this only increased following Anna's apology to Taylor leading to them becoming friends. In this way Anna accompanies her father to House Swift as her father was invited by Taylor's father to have dinner, and excited to spend time with her new friend Taylor she does become nervous as she hears her father make rude comments about the Swifts and from his tone knows that he will be argumentative as he has increasingly become. The chapter ends with Anna returning from another day out with Taylor this time having spent the day with her friend at the Dragonoph Temple where Taylor is rising quite high, and entering her house she is confronted by her father, brother and her brothers wife. Resisting her fathers demands to turn against Taylor Swift she is is shown a letter by her father that he says he has intercepted from House Crane to House Swift, and reading the letter it details that everything Orival Crane felt had all been a big manipulation in order to get revenge for what had happened to Taylor earlier. Questioning the letter her father reveals that Taylor Swift's mother is in fact a member of House Crane and everything was just a trick played by House Swift on her. Anna enters her dream world finding herself traveling towards the Palace of Lucerne, and entering the throne room Anna watches as James details the mistakes he has made to his Maestor of whom does not realize it but James Lovie at this point is accepting that he is going to die eventually to his sons ambition and his failings. He remembers vividly the moment after Alice was nearly raped by Sean Lovie and contemplates how it was his fault, and how he has spent so much time destroying Sean that he hardly recognizes himself anymore. James Lovie is met by several members of the Circle of Magi of which when they arrive he feels himself fall within his own mind, and another voice begins to speak for him and this voice commands them to begin preparations for their withdrawal from Lucerne, and movement to the ruined city of Orleans. Following this meeting he feels himself come back into his mind and talks with Khadgar of whom voices his disapproval of what there doing, and tells Bill that he wishes to leave the Circle of Magi, but Bill in a moment of purity commands Khadgar to stay and watch what the others do in order for William to better understand what has happened once Bill is finally removed.

Chapter 26[]
Taylor Swift is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is at the Temple of Glaurung in Brill when she is approached from behind by Anna Kendrick of whom is in tears. Trying to find out what is wrong with her friend she sits with her and after some time of silence Anna asks her several questions about her mother and believing that Anna's mother has made her sad she answers not realizing that she is playing into the fears of Anna in regards to the Cranes. The conversation between the two was interrupted by the arrival of Anna's brother David and his wife Annegret Hiemark and Taylor believes that she had made Anna feel better and thus allows David to take Anna away leaving Taylor to return to the Temple of Glaurung. Taylor after praying for almost two days wakes up in the night with a strange man, and women standing in her room but her prayer leads her to not scream and calms herself down where she realizes they wear the cloaks of the Greybeards who she saw briefly during her time outside High Hrothgar. The women speaks to her about the fact that Taylor had not failed the test back at High Hrothgar but in fact had succeeded where hundreds before had failed, and thus the women and man tell her that they want her to come to High Hrothgar where they will train her to use the Dovah magi known as Dragon Shouts or Thu'um. Taylor is overjoyed by this and quickly agrees to this, and with her acceptance the woman introduces herself as Elsa Guthburn and promises Taylor that they will return for her once the time is right.

Anna Kendrick is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is overcome with hatred towards Taylor Swift over what she believes was her betrayal of what she thought was a friendship, and in this hatred she falls under the influence of Annegret Hiemark who has already begun a plot against House Swift. Entering her dreams Anna enters the Palace where she finds James walking through his library when a figure appears in front of him in the form of William who is leaving the city, but is first confronting his father on his dreams. Pretending to his father that he doesn't know the identity of the girl in his dreams he tricks his father into telling him who the girl is without telling him where she is. Realizing the depths of madness his father has stooped to he makes his father clearly understand that he no longer considers him as a father. James watches William leave from the Cloud Tower, and he reveals his sadness when William leaves Lucerne with much of his vassals and most of the army of Lucerne at his back. Fearing both his own fate, but mainly his sons fate he retreats into his library and allows none to enter, and during this time he talks of the War in France. James Lovie is rejoined by Ezio Ederiz of whom sneaks inside the library and watches from afar as James Lovie meets with members of the Circle of Magi inside the Library of which Ezio discovers has secret Magi entryways. James Lovie during this commands his Circle of Magi to begin preparing to leave, and they do as commanded outside of Khadgar of whom teleports away and abandons the Circle of Magi. During Chapter 29 James Lovie also remembers the day he finally convinced Amber Heard to flee the city, and he hates himself for being so weak and hateful that he pushed away someone that loved his son so dearly.

I walked up the hallway commanding Ser Narose Scorpian, and John Shephard to wait for me and not let anyone pass under my authority. Walking forward I looked through the slit in the wall and saw Amber sleeping on his sleeping form and felt a great amount of pain for what I knew I had to do to her. She loved my son of that there could be no question, but I saw his feelings for her the same way I saw his feelings for the Numenorian girl. He cared for her but...but he didn`t love her enough to marry her. My earlier threats had led to nothing as she stayed by his side night and day despite threat of death, but I knew who she was, and I knew how I could control her. She didn`t wake up as I walked into the room, and I made my way to his side and kissed him on the forehead. When I raised my head I saw she had woken, and she looked at me with shear terror in her eyes. It was clear that when I threatened her life, and those around her she was frightened but she loved him more then herself. ``I believe the last time we spoke I told you what would happen if you remained here.`` She made an audible gulp and moved her hand towards Williams enveloping his hand in hers. I would have done anything in the world to make him wake up, even if that meant he did defend her to my punishment, but when I looked at him there was nothing. His eyes didn`t open at her touch. She was in danger, and he didn`t wake. That had to mean she was irrelevant to him. That had to mean I was right. ``So you ignore your kings commands, and now you must pay the consequences.`` She looked away from William for a moment and looked towards me. ``My king please I love your son, and I...`` I didn`t let her finish I just lashed out with my hand striking her across the face and releasing her from William`s hand. As she fell backwards she pulled William somewhat off the bed tumbling his one side nearly to the ground. I let out a scream, and as I ran around the bed to get him back to his position I felt her try and help me get him back onto the bed, but feeling her touch me made me angrier then I may have ever been. ``Don`t touch me you stupid whore.`` I stared down at her walking towards her as she crawled backwards away from me. ``Do you know what happened to your parents Amber.`` There was nothing in her eyes but confusion so I assumed the Arryn`s had kept the Plague story going for her. ``You see there was the group of people that believed they could do whatever they wanted. Included in these things was the belief that they could kill me and take the crown from my family. Your parents were one of those people Amber.`` I grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her up standing her infront of me. ``Your cousins as well.`` When the first tear fell down her face I continued. ``I killed them all. Your cousin Martin put up a fight but my men slit his throat. Your cousin Thomas was dragged before me and I pulled out his tongue and left him to bleed out in a cell. Your parents you see they were dragged from their beds and burned alive. You ask how you live. You wonder why I killed everyone else but you. Search your mind as to where you were when your parents died. You escaped death because you were in Hillsbrad far from my reach. Had I of known where you were in those days I would have had them smash your pretty little face in with a rock before I ever let you near my son.`` ``Why do you act this way.`` I let out a laugh as she attempted to find answers. ``Why hurt me all it will do is drive him further away from you then he already is. Don`t you understand that all your children just want you to love them. Just be the man they want you to be and...`` I slapped her again and she started to fall down the wall before I held her back up. ``The answers you seek are no where to be found. Now we need to move forward. My son is gone. I feel his presence leaving this world, and I cannot bare to see him like this. I only wish to leave him in peace in this room alone.`` I thought I had seen fear in her eyes before, but now I knew what fear looked like. She knew in that moment that I was threatening William, and that was all together to much for her to handle. ``If you do not leave here. If you do not travel home to Forks then I will put a pillow over his head until he is gone away.`` I nearly cried myself speaking of his death, but I used everything I had left to speak the words I knew I had to say to make her leave.` ``You wouldn`t...You couldn`t...Why would...``She was crying but her face kept looking to William for rescue. Even in these final moments she still believed in him as strongly as I did. ``You embarrass his memory by staying near him. I would put my beloved prince out of his misery if you do not leave here. Do not doubt the things I would do to protect his memory.`` |

Anna Kendrick is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she is sent south to become the lady in waiting for Falena Crane something she is completely not accepting of doing seeing herself as above the members of House Crane. Arriving there she was greeted by Falena Crane of whom took her around the castle town, and while openly kind she was very resentful inside and upon reaching her room she would begin writing a letter home demanding to be returned. This letter would go back home, but her father simply sent back that he loved her and hoped this would be a good experience in the end, but refused to send her home. Spending the first weeks of her time in Crane Castle attempting to find girls like herself among the nobles she found her spoiled, and sometimes arrogant behavior was not liked by the other girls of the Crane nobility and this was especially highlighted when she got into an argument with Jeyne Urlonn of whom alongside several other girls from Crane Castle would threaten Anna. Anna was spreading a rumor about one of the handmaidens of Crane Castle in the form of Melia Grant of whom had a scar on her neck which Anna made fun of causing Melia to run out after hearing about it. Hearing about this bullying Jeyne Urlonn would gather the noble girls and trick Anna into going riding with them where they would continue to take her west until she refused to go any further realizing they were against her. The girls would tell her how they all thought she was a terrible person so in love with herself that she couldn't see that everyone hated her, and then leaving the distraught Anna they would take the horse from her before leaving her on the road forced to walk back to Crane Castle which was hours away by foot.

I kept walking hoping with everything in my heart that I would see that crooked tower of Crane Castle. I hoped for the first time since I had arrived here that the castle I hated so much would just appear. Where was I? I could feel my heart beat racing with every crack of the woods around me. The forest begin to him as the darkness overtook the sky, and then I heard it. My legs took me into the forest, and away from the sounds behind me. I kept running constantly looking back for the sounds to become the monsters I knew they were, but I could feel my lungs struggling and I slowed down. Catching my breathe I moved backwards slowly away from where the noise was and then my leg struck something and I fell backwards before the world went black. |

Anna Kendrick is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she watches through the windows of the temple as Taylor speaks to the group, and she is disgusted that Taylor is being given such an opportunity while she is once again passed over for Taylor. As she continues to watch she is discovered by Freddie Highmore of whom she talks with for some time, and eventually is able to convince Freddie to put in a word for her to travel with them to Lordeorn. Following this conversation with Freddie she returns to the Kendrick estates where she convinses her brother Tyson Kendrick to travel with her to Lorderon where she uses his desire to regain his honor following his failure at the Nortburg tournament during the events of the Journey, and with this hope he jumps at the opportunity. Following this she returns to the keep and finds Freddie Highmore of whom apologizes to her telling her that she cannot come as Emma had indicated the group was full but clearly there was more to it and Anna takes this as Taylor interfering and thus decides to go around Emma Bell to Dylan Steinmare of whom she had known during her time at the academy. Finding Dylan spending time with his wife she feels sadness at how happy they look and longs to see Orival again which shocks her that she doesn't think of Josh Hirsh for even a second when she sees there happiness. Speaking to Dylan she is able to trick him into taking her with them offering her families forces in assistance against Edward if the chance arises, and he agrees to not tell Emma about this as the two conspire that they will keep it a secret until it is too late for her to go back, and Anna promises to Dylan that she will support Dylan if the opportunity to kill Edward Cullen arises. Having manipulated her way into going she goes back to her families estate with no plans to tell Josh Hirsh of her departure but when she returns home she is told by her sister Melinda Kendrick that Emile Hirsh has been banned from going due to what everyone knows to be the affair happening between him and Emile, and thus attempting to get back at Taylor and cause problems she travels to the Hirsh estates. Arriving at her home she meets with her husband who she realizes she hasn't seen in almost three months and tells him that he will need to accompany her and lies to him that this was a command from Emma Bell, and wanting to be loyal he adheres to what he thinks is a royal command. Wanting to sow further chaos she also tricks them into believing that Josh is also to come despite him also not being one of those who was too come. Thus having created what she believes is a great embarrassment for Taylor she returns to the House Kendrick estates and prepares her things for the journey to come.

Taylor Swift is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter she would be praying in the High Temple of Brill when she would be approached from behind and was shocked to find those who had joined her in prayer were none other then Emma Bell a member of the royal family, as well as Dylan Steinmare and Edward Cullen two man who she had never met before but she knew to be extremely prominent members of the kingdom. Continuing to pray now joined by this group her mind would be overcome by questions of what could have brought such a group to her temple, and after fifteen minutes of prayer she finishes and at her ending she and the group finally speak. Emma tells Taylor that she is being tasked with leading a Dragonoph contingent to Lorderon where they will be attempting to make further inroads into converting the new state to the Dragonoph, and when she questions why her they are reluctent to give her a straight anwser instead Emma hands her a letter directed to her signed by Alice Lovie who is the acting regent of the Kingdom of Lucerne while William is away.

Anna Kendrick is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter after the dramatic showdown between herself and Josh Hirshe it would be Anna Kendrick that fled the keep leaving behind a bleeding Joshua Hirsh and knowing without question that she was leaving it didn't matter to her that Lorderon was under siege as arriving at the docks themselves she paid two lorderon men to take her to Westbridge. The two men took her to a merchant captain named Dol-Durothil Torzana of whom agreed to take her northward as he wanted to get his boat out of the city anyway lest risk it be damaged in anything that might happen to the city. While the captain prepared the boat for departure she finds her friends Amyra Spirre, and Katlyn Granes, of which as they got onto the ship they are joined at the last minute by Jeyne Urlonn, and her husband Mikal Shiphard of whom refuse to be left out and join with the group. Their journey north ends with the ship being attacked on the river by a Yairnish galley and boarded they surrender as they don't have the means of defense for themselves and seeing they are nobles the pirates led by a man who calls himself Sigsten Henjum of the Yairnish mercenary group called The Sanguine Hand Company. Sigsten Henjum had traveled north for the third time attempting to find a vulnerable Lucernian merchant ship that he could capture without having to fight a battle in his effort to complete the mission of himself and his sister and after two previous failures he finally noticed the Eye of Fornost and quickly moved to capture the inhabitants in his effort to gain Lucernian hostages.
