The Lost One is a stand alone story detailing the life of several nobles throughout the Kingdom of Lucerne and the Riverlands. As the Story goes on the POV Characters increase from simply Lucas Scott to also include four others who also share a loneliness to their life in the form of Orival Crane, Robin Highport, Trevor Baratheon, and Edmund Blackwood of which Orival is a powerful heir to a lordship of the Grand State of Tree Hill, Robin is an heir to the power of Fogtown and is severly saddened by the death of his mother and sister, Trevor Baratheon is the only true born son of Robert Baratheon and has spent his life living well and caring for his bastard siblings, and Edmund Blackwood is the heir of House Blackwood and is constantly haunted by the death of his brother Lucas Blackwood back in Pontus.

Plot Summary

Chapter 1

Lucas Scott is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he is walking the streets of Tree Hill with Haley James of whom is shown to be his best friend, but also shown to be someone in his mind he feels a great attraction for, as well as someone betrothed to his brother Nathan Scott.

Trevor Baratheon is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he

Chapter 3

Lucas Scott is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he is sitting watching as Haley Scott marries his younger brother. Following the wedding he and his father get into an argument as Lucas continues to wish to marry Peyton Sawyer, but his father is refusing to honor this as he continues to say he is searching but the truth is known to Lucas and that is that Lucas is being stopped from marrying by Dan in Dan's continued attempt to get Lucas to obey him.

Chapter 4

Orival Crane is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he is awoken by his father Dustin of whom tells him to dress quickly as the city of Tree Hill has come under assault and already Dustin is marshaling the Crane forces to assist. Orival is told by his father to meet with one of a group of commoners who arrived at Crane Castle bringing news of the fall of the Hill of Renault one of the areas of Tree Hill and his father leaves quickly not even saying goodbye and Orival quickly gets dressed finding the hallways jammed with people as he walks through the halls. Entering the room with the survivor he sees Guntrum of Crane, and Wigbert Osterholt of whom are already talking with the survivor but as Orival enters the man is just staring ahead of himself and doesn't appear to register what is happening. After Orival opens up to the man the commoner is revealed as Conrad of Jespersen and he tells them about the Fall of the Hill of Renault one of the pieces of what will eventually be known as the First Battle of Tree Hill revealing how he and almost twenty people were able to escape by horse to Crane Castle.

Chapter 5

Robin Highport is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he is sitting with his family eating dinner as the family speaks about the upcoming arrival of Nathan Scott, and Maergary Tyrell to stay with his family at Fogtown. Leaving the table he spends time with his counsin Kevan Highport of whom is very close too, and the two discuss their growing understanding of the monster that is Robin's father and both wish that Robin's uncle and Kevan's father was more influencial in the family. Following this Robin leaves trying to find his sister Lara and after passing his mothers room he thinks on her disapearance and implies that she did terrible things to him before she left and he is happy that shes gone. Leaving his mothers room he hears his sister Lara crying and going to her he finds her holding her child and Robin thinks on the childs birth again implying his mother had a hand in the childs birth, and Robin is unable to stop Lara from crying but after a hopeless conversation where all he seems to do is make things worse it is Lara that puts the baby in its crib and then closes the door ending the scene. Robin wakes up in his bed and feels ashamed that his mother has left him and his sister so broken that she only knows one way to feel something other then pain, and he quickly dresses and goes outside finding his friend Dontell Lott of whom he thinks on revealing that Dontell was framed by his mother for raping Lara and fathering Natalie Highport II. and it was Robin and Lara that worked to expose his innocent and then shortly following this his mother disapeared and Robin believes that Dontell was responsible for her disapearance but holds no anger about this. While riding outside Fogtown with Dontell they see the Tree Hill party arrive and return to the town where they arrive just in time to be introduced to Nathan Scott, and Margaery Tyrell who have arrived alongside a small entourage of his friends, and several of Margaery`s hand maidens of which brought a large contingent of servents. During this initial meeting Robin and Nathan speak briefly before Nathan leaves taking the hand of Robins sister and asking her for a tour of the city something that clearly upsets Margaery which Robin notices and goes to her to try and smooth things over. Speaking with Margaery changes everything as she tells him that he should be worried about Natalie as Nathan has issues with women and that is everything she can do just to keep him from raping her and as she talks she begins to cry which causes Robin to hug her and as he hugs her he flashes to memories of the abuse by his mother but is pushed out of this by a push from behind as Nathan pushes him to the ground also knocking down Margaery.

Chapter 6

Lucas Scott is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he is standing on the balcony of the Scott fortress within Tree Hill when he sees smoke coming from the north of the city, and gets this feeling that something truly horrifying is happening. As he ran out of his room he saw his father sitting at his desk not looking like he was very stressed, and he was surrounded by several men including two from House Nighting. Dan Scott was by this point making sure that all their preparations to abandon the city were in place, but had discovered that the tunnel exits that they had put in place had been sabotaged and thus there was no escape for them. Not realizing who was the cause of this they immediately assumed the cause was Bill Lovie, but in fact the tunnels had been sabotaged by Morrigan of whom hadn't been capable of allowing the traitors to get away with what they had done. Leaving the inner keep he found Haley and Brooke early on but couldn't manage to find Peyton Sawyer inside the inner courtyard. He went to the personal Scott armory and donned his armor alongside his brother Nathan and prepared to enter the city in search of her, but as he reached the inner gatehouse he saw Peyton screaming his name. Peyton had been able to return to the keep before the massacre and now she was crying so much that Lucas had to hold her up, and he would hand her over sadly to Brooke and Haley of whom he forced to return inside the inner Hold.

Chapter 7

Orival Crane is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he

Chapter 8

Robin Highport is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he is sitting in front of his father as his father yells at him over his fight with Nathan and despite attempting to explain what happened his father refuses to listen and demands for Robin to go and apologize to nathan to which Robin agrees in order to please his father. Robin goes to the estate where Nathan is staying in attempt to apologize but only finds Margaery there and she tells him that Natalie stayed the night and implies that Nathan may have raped her and at this all plans of apologizing go away as Robin sprints towards House Lotts estate where Margaery said he had gone and arriving there he finds Nathan laughing as Robins friend Percival Lott, and Nathan`s friend Oswart Dunny of whom had also started to become hateful towards the other due to their friends rivalries were in a full on fist fight. Moving right at Nathan he pushes Nathan down which causes Nathan to lash out and when Robin accuses him of raping his sister it is Nathan that decides to take it further and begins discussing his time with Natalie Highport of whom had actually resisted him in one of the first rejections of his life which caused him to get angry and it was in this anger that he used to make up the story of having sex with her and at this reveal Robin lost it and the two fought once more which was broken up only seconds before they were going to take swords out. Before the two can come to blows it is Jodrik the Master of Arms of House Highport that arrives and breaks up the fight intimidating Nathan into returning to his room and also commanding Robin return to the Highport estate which he does being nearly dragged there by Natalie of whom admonishes him for his stupidity.

Chapter 12

Robin Highport is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he receives a letter from Harbart Darkmore of whom tasks them with rallying the forces of Fogtown as he raising his vassals in order to assist prince William Lovie III. of whom is beggining the journey. Reading this and seeing an oppurtunity to escape the confines of Fogtown Robin Highport would demand to be allowed to join the Journey but his sister would command him to stay behind and forced to do this by the rigors of leadership in the city following the departure and believed death of their father he would take command of the remaining forces in Fogtown while it was decided that his sister Natalie would lead the Fogtown forces alongside Harbart Darkmore.  Forced to remain behind he spends more time with his friends and the nights with his sister of whom the two reveal shared a mutual experiance in that they suffered terrible abuse from their mother which Lara reveals caused her pregnancy with Robin being the true father of the baby. Harbart Darkmore arrives with a large force but as they greet him at the gates he is also accompanied by his daughter Amantha Darkmore of whom it becomes very clear from this initial meeting that Harbart wants to offer to him his daughter as a potential wife, and also seeing this Natalie suggests that Robin give her a tour of the city and he does this without question. As they walk Amantha discusses with Robin the situation of her family and Robin is shocked to learn that there is such trouble with House Darkmore as she reveals the events surrounding the vote for succession law changes in Darkmore were far more wide reaching they he had believed. As one of the few nobles of the state that voted in favor of the change she believes that he is not a part of the plot against her father and thus suggests that they think seriously about a potential marriage option between the two of them, and Robin sees the value but is still extremely traumatized by what happened in his childhood. The two continue talking and they come to discover a shared love for reading and Robin takes her to the library of House Highport which impresses Amantha and the two share a kiss while discussing books and while Amantha smiles deeply clearly enjoying the kiss Robin is forced to hide that the kiss brings him back to the abuse. 

Chapter 13

Edmund Blackwood is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he arrives alongside his family, and commanders at Raventree where he is greeted by his brothers Bryndan, and Hoster Blackwood of whom treat him openly with quite a lot of distain and insult his wife for her families low standing leading to a fight between Bryndan and Edmund which only ends with the arrival of his father Tytos Blackwood and sister Alyn Blackwood of whom further admonish him for his anger pointing out that was what got Lucas Blackwood killed. Leaving the argument he walks with his father of whom apologizes to him and discusses his shame in changing the succession of House Blackwood to Bryndan and says he did this out of pain over the death of Lucas and if he could change it he would, and then discusses with Edmund the amount of violence being perpetrated by Brydan Blackwood, and Hoster Blackwood and how Alyn Blackwood his beloved basically refuses to marry due to what he believes is an incestuous relationship with Bryndan.

Chapter 17

Robin Highport is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he enters the city of Tree Hill alongside his commanders to the site of cheering survivors in the city and finding his sister the two of them begin searching among them and together they find Nathan Scott of whom while he hates but he knows, and from this they discovers his father is dead and the two get into an argument of which only ends with the arrival of Lucas of whom calms the situation for the moment. He leaves the scene despite his sister screaming for him to stay, and walking with Percival Lott he calms down and shortly after this he searches for his sister but is unable to find her, and thinking little of it he spends hours meeting with the other commanders attempting to once more further his influence. Preparing to go to bed he is stopped by Dontell Lott of whom has found Natalie's necklace and together the two go looking for his sister and after looking near the walls where they found the necklace they find her broken body under a barrel of grain.

Chapter 18

Edmund Blackwood is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he awakes from a cold sweat screaming and he is consoled by his wife Elana Blackwood of whom rubs his back, and he tells her of his dream. He had a nightmare about the trip that he took with his sister Alyn Blackwood, and his brother Lucas Blackwood, and he tells her the story all the way until his brother Lucas gets into an argument with a Pentosi mercenary and is forced to stop being unable to speak about what happens next. The two talk about their two children while having a long conversation about the fact that their daughter Mylessa has been asked for marriage once again, and yet again they will reject this being unwilling to give away their daughter.

Chapter 22

Robin Highport is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he travels to the Port of Stormwind in order to take part in the celebrations for the new city alongside his friends. Shortly before they leave Fogtown his sister comes down with a sickness due to her pregnency with their second child and thus stayed behind while Robin left Fogtown by boat travelling to the Port of Stormwind. Arriving in Fogtown he finds his friends forcing him to go to the newest local brothel and convinsed that the only way to keep his relationship with Larra a secret he agrees to sleep with a whore at the brothel, and unknown to him the whore he is paired with is Vanessa Cleef of whom is in the process of being tricked by several noble girls into believing this will make her popular. Entering the room where he believes he will sleep with a whore he finds Vanessa Cleef of whom convinced that she will popular if she sleeps with Robin decides to play the part as best she can, and so desperate for popularity is Vanessa that she is able to convince Robin that she is a whore at the brothel, and he eventually after having a connection with her sleeps with Vanessa. Following this the two lay together and he promices that after he is done meeting with the people he has to at the cermonies he will return to the brothel and pay for her escape from this life and marry her to a nobelmen who will treat her right. Leaving he brothel he returns to the the camp outside of Anthor where he meets up with his friends, who are actually shocked he went through with it, but no his honor is without question and believe him. Robin spends time with his uncle before he falls asleep in preperation for his role at the ceremony for the foundation of the city, and the dinner that will follow for the nobles. The chapter ends with Robin entering the room where he and his party travel to their table, but he nearly falls over when he sees Vanessa seated at one of the tables, and it is with her locking eyes with him that the chapter ends.

Chapter 23

Edmund Blackwood is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he arrives in Riverrun two years after the argment between himself and his family, and accompanied by his family and commanders he meets privately with the Lucernians of whom he plans to reveal the begginings of a plot he lies about his family being a part of. Following meeting with the Lucernians he and Elana discuss how the rebellion they have been building will make his brother's look extremely guilty once the Lucernians send agents to look into the issue, and silently share a laugh together about finally getting their revenge on Bryndan and Hoster.

Chapter 24

Chapter 27

Robin Highport is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he realizes what he has done and spits out his drink causing the entire room to look to him, but as all eyes go to him Vanessa flees the room as this happens. Despite the staring of all the nobles in the room which amounts to most of the most influential people in the entire Kingdom of Lucerne Robin remains seated in his chair and despite dying inside that he cannot chase after her he thinks of how important this event is and not wanting to let down the memory of his fallen sister and brother he raises his drink and makes a toast laughing off his spitting out the drink which causes nearly everyone to laugh with him. As the dinner progresses it is Vanessa that makes her way back into the room after her father found her and forced her back and returning to the room as the nobles all mingle she is found by Robin and she reveals who she really is and shocked at this he begins attempting to discuss marriage between the two but they are interrupted by the arrival of Vanessa's brother Vilhem Cleef who introduces his betrothed Sydra Skane and despite Vanessa nearly crying Vilhem is so excited that he takes over the remainder of Vanessa and Robin's time together which ends with the arrival of Vanessa's father Saiden Cleef of whom also does not realize Vanessa is overwhelmed and thus doesn't check in on her just takes her away leaving Robin's marriage offer hanging in the air unanswered. Following the end of the dinner Robin attempts to find Vanessa Cleef and finds Vilhem Cleef of whom tells him that Vanessa was sent away back to Goldshire after her father had been enraged at her embaressing moment of running out of the dining hall, and at this news Robin returns to his party and tells them that he will travel to Goldshire.

Trevor Baratheon is the POV Character of this chapter and during this chapter he travels at the head of the army sent by his father and under his command accompanied by his heavily pregnant wife Adelinde and his brothers Broderik, Edric, and Gendry towards the city of Brill which has been taken by the True Sons of Lucerne loyalists in the form of House Jestife.
