Tur-Ildarion Elessar is the youngest child of King Aragorn, and Arwen Elessar making him a member of House Elessar. Ildarion has two siblings in the form of Eldarion, and Artenia Elessar with his brother Eldarion being a famed warrior that has fought valiantly, while his sister Artenia has a few children with James Tampetty while being known for her sexual promiscuous behavior. Ildarion was married to Diane Agron when he was sixteen and they remained married for nearly thirty years, but eventually after his emotional collapse they drifted apart and she took their children to live with her in Arnor. With Diane Agron he has three children in the form of Ildarion, Elden, and Aryanna of which his son Ildarion fought during the Fall of Arnor and survived the war and was ransomed back to Gondor, his son Elden would be a sickly young boy and was given peace when he died of plague while living in Arnor, and his daghter Aryanna would be married to a noblemen in the Arnorian fortress of Talheim where she lives still. Following his time in Ethring he has become romantically linked with Sarah Mason of House Mason and at the end of the Eastern Fire comic he became aware that she was pregnant with their child.
Ildarion was born the first child of Aragorn Elessar of which made him the heir of House Elessar as well as the heir to the Kingdom of Gondor, and during his youth he was closest with his mother as he was a shy boy who didn't like the spotlight that followed his father. During his twelvth birthday he was bethrothed to Diane Agron of whom he was introduced to and while he was enamored by her she would tell others that Ildarion while handsome was a strange person who didn't say anything. Ildarion would squire for his father in Minus Tirith and this only lasted a short time before he was sent to Berethor Isilrim of whom was the Captain General of the White Tree Guard of Minus Tirith. Squiring with Berethor improved him as a person immensely and he came to love Berethor as a father that loved him despite his shyness and sometimes withdrawn behavior, and at the age of fifteen he was knighted by Berethor for his skill during a brief fight against Trolloc in northern Gondor. Following this he would be married to Diane Agron and oer several years the two had two children together and while he was still shy they were getting along and their marriage was relatively happy. Many years into their marriage he and the White Tree Guard go east to join the army attempting to end the siege of Pelagir and it is during this time that they are caught on the banks of a creek and nearly destroyed before Ildarion rallies the army and defeats the Trolloc leader nearly on his own, but despite saving the army and winning the battle he watches one of his two best friends in Carahanir be killed by a Trolloc of whom runs off laughing. Returning home to Minus Tirith he is overcome with nightmares over the incident and this collapses everything in his marriage, and the situation only gets worse when his mentor Berethor resigns from the White Tree Guard in shame over the defeat. His depression leads Diane to send for her father of whom petitions to end the marriage of which Aragorn was going to refuse but Ildarion just cannot bare the thought of making her sad so he agrees to it not realising she plans to take the children with her. Devesated when he learns that Diane took the children with her he devolves nearly completely becoming a shell of a person but after years of this Belernil convinses him to rise as Captain General and make his children, and their fallen friend proud. Ildarion Elessar would lead men during the Stormwind, Gondor conflict and he was stuck in the siege for basically the entire conflict and was forced to surrender when his brother was threatened. Under this position he led the White Tree Gaurd against the forces of the Orcs during the Battle of Minus Ithil which led to him regaining a sence of himself, although he in no way believed he was recovered. In order to continue the progress he left the White Tree Gaurd following the Battle and went south east where he has come to the border town of Ethring. During his time in Ethring he has become involved with Sarah Mason of whom would be the first romance he had allowed to happen in many years. While he was in Ethring he would learn of the death of Diane Agron of whom was the mother of his child, of whom had died making sure their child had escaped the destroyed Arnor and she had succeded by the letter from his father who told him that his child was completely safe in Minas Tirith. Preparing to send a letter in return for his father he was shocked to feel a knife go into his back, and when he turned around and saw Sarah Mason crying hysterically as she held the knife in his chest he died. The death of Ildarion Elessar would cause utter chaos all across Gondor, and heralded the beggining of the Second Gondor-Umbar War of which would threaten to spiral out of control.
Characteristics
Personality
Ildarion Elessar was born a quiet but kind young man of whom was never comfortable in the limelight, but he held it with a strength that barely showed how shy a person he was.
History
Early History
Ildarion was born the first child of Aragorn Elessar of which made him the heir of House Elessar as well as the heir to the Kingdom of Gondor, and during his youth he was closest with his mother as he was a shy boy who didn't like the spotlight that followed his father.
Diane Agron
- “I'm sure she had many dreams of what the young handsome prince of Gondor was like. She probably thought me clever. She must have thought me funny. I can only assume she thought me articulet. How disapointing that my shyness proved everything false for her.”
- — Ildarion Elessar
During his twelvth birthday he was bethrothed to Diane Agron of whom he was introduced to and while he was enamored by her she would tell others that Ildarion while handsome was a strange person who didn't say anything.
Squire
Ildarion would squire for his father in Minus Tirith and this only lasted a short time before he was sent to Berethor Isilrim of whom was the Captain General of the White Tree Guard of Minus Tirith. Squiring with Berethor improved him as a person immensely and he came to love Berethor as a father that loved him despite his shyness and sometimes withdrawn behavior, and at the age of fifteen he was knighted by Berethor for his skill during a brief fight against Trolloc in northern Gondor.
Marriage
- “Having my children was the best thing that ever happened to me Sarah. There is simply nothing in life that matches the love you feel. All the bad things I felt just washed away when I saw their eyes. I was a better man when they were around.”
- — Ildarion Elessar
Following this he would be married to Diane Agron and oer several years the two had two children together and while he was still shy they were getting along and their marriage was relatively happy.
Tears of Lyllenzil Creek
- “I had spent so many years winning I had no idea that it was possible to lose. It was the first taste I got, but it seemed once I got a taste it was all I could ever taste.”
- — Ildarion Elessar
It was many years into the marriage of Ildarion Elessar, and Dianna Agron that Ildarion and the White Tree Guard would have a really serious situation to deal with it. The city of Pelagir was a constant sight of Trolloc attacks, but usually the Trollocs attacked and then retreated, and thus there attacks while devestating they were only static and never remained. This changed when a particularlly large Trolloc under the sway of a Myrddrall would mass themselves and overrun the rangers position in the north before besieging Pelagir. After a month of the siege not ending and more and more Trollocs flowing into the gap Aragorn ordered the army moved towards Pelagir and commanded that Osgiliath also send forces, alongside Dol Amroth and the south western lands as well. Ildarion would go east to join the army attempting to end the siege of Pelagir and now led over some one hundred men as a Captain in the White Tree Guard. Moving towards Pelagir there was little thought to safety as the Trollocs were deemed a foolish force incapable of overral strategy, and it was due to this mistake that during this time that they are caught on the banks of a creek by a large Trolloc force. and nearly destroyed before Ildarion rallies the army and defeats the Trolloc leader nearly on his own, but despite saving the army and winning the battle he watches one of his two best friends in Carahanir be killed by a Trolloc of whom runs off laughing.
Depression
Returning home to Minus Tirith he is overcome with nightmares over the incident and this collapses everything in his marriage, and the situation only gets worse when his mentor Berethor resigns from the White Tree Guard in shame over the defeat.
Annulment
His depression leads Diane to send for her father of whom petitions to end the marriage of which Aragorn was going to refuse but Ildarion just cannot bare the thought of making her sad so he agrees to it not realising she plans to take the children with her.
Rising from the Ashes
Devesated when he learns that Diane took the children with her he devolves nearly completely becoming a shell of a person but after years of this Belernil convinses him to rise as Captain General and make his children, and their fallen friend proud.
Lucernian Invasion of Gondor
Main Article : Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian
Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian One day you men will look back and ask yourself what the hell you did here. You attacked us while were fighting monsters. So much for the honor of the Dragons. |
---|
The Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian begin after an increasingly devolving James Lovie II. recieved word from Gondor that they needed help in fighting the Orcs on their eastern border. James would summon the council of Lucerne and reluctantly everyone outside of Forks came to the meeting but instead of proposing assistance to Gondor it was James that discussed his desire to attack and gain control of the Rhunian region of Gondor. Upon hearing this the Starke forces that were present would react with shock and resisted this heavily, but in this they were supported by none of the other members of the council who all have been successfully intimated by what everyone knows was James reaction to the last time the lords resisted him in the form of The Plague. When Eddard Starke continued to resist the wishes of James it was James Nighting and several guards who brought Rickon Starke, and Lyanna Starke and in front of the council Rickons life was threatened if Eddard did not agree to follow through. Unwilling to lose his son and sister it was Eddard that agreed to lead his forces in assaulting Gondor, and alongside Winterfell it was the Grand State of Castamere and several other prominent areas in the Valley that would be commanded to begin preperations for the assault on Rhunian. Eddard would remain behind after the rest of the council was sent away and it was made clear that Rickon, and Lyanna would remain in Lucerne and that if the Starke's did not make good on their word then not only would Rickon, and Lyanna be executed but the next council meeting would be about removing House Starke from their position.
While this was being planned it was James that was communicating with Gondor about his plans to support them in a push into Umbar to create a barrier between the two nations, and thus Gondor was moving troops to the Ethring region while Lucerne was moving troops to the Gondor border. Rhunian thus would have only its own forces, and a small amount of reserves from Gondor to defend it if the Lucernians attacked the land, but one element that the Lucernians had not anticiapted was the arrival of Tur-Eldarion Elessar a prince of Gondor who arrived in Langstrand to begin recruiting troops in Rhunian and this drive for recruitment would bring thousands of extra troops into Rhunian. When the Starke's did little more then send small outriders against northern Rhunian, and a contingent of Mormont men from Bear Island it was left to the Lannisters to actually instigate the conflict. Tywin, and Tygett Lannister would send hundreds of cavalry into central Rhunian against the villages along the border, and proceeded to ransack and pillage the entire area leading to at first confusion from Gondor who had signed alliance papers and had principally agreed on a mutual plan to attack Umbar. Gondorian diplomats were imprisoned in both Castamere and Winterfell and attempts to communicate were met with silence leading to a shocked Gondorian prince Tur-Eldarion to send word to the Gondor capital that was was now declared with Lucerne. Lannister Invasion of Langstrad
As the Gondorians were mobilizing it was the Lannisters who smashed into the western areas of Rhunian taking control of dozens of villages and putting four towns under siege. House Lannister moved their main army straight out of Lannistane alongside all of their vassals, and other houses and moved directly towards Langstrand. The Lannisters were led by Tywin Lannister of whom took complete charge of the siege of Langstrand, and then he sent his family members to take control of the various villages, and castles nearby. The defenders of Langstrand were offered quarter, but refused under the command of Haalbrad and demanded the Lucernians leave their lands or else face the consequences. The defenders were outnumbered, but Langstrand sat on the edge of water, and the river bed was shielded by cliffs which meant they could get some supplies inside, thus making the siege even longer. Invasion of TolhnenElements from Mander, and southern Castamere landed by boat in southern Rhunian and placed the town of Tolhnen under siege as well as spread out throughout the coastline of southern Rhunian attempting to gain control of the entire southern coast. Sack of TolhnenInvasion of TorginiathWith his brother Guntram still missing it was Arwin that took command of the House Jest forces during the Lucernian Invasion of Rhunian and his forces would launch a naval invasion of the port town of Minas Torginiath, but before he could reach the port he took part in a brief naval battle outside Torginiath where he sunk most of the Gondor navy. Having gained control of the port of Torginiath it was Arwin that situated his forces in a garrison position as per his commands from the Lannister high command, and prepared for any sort of invasion by the forces of mainland Gondor. During this garrison duty he would become close with the Admiral of the Torginiath naval forces in the form of Ka-Alisse Maethadis, and their friendship would allow for a more peaceful control of Torginiath as Alisse assisted him in controlling the city. Arwin would agree to Alisse's desire to travel to Tolhnen and try and save her brother and sent her there with three men, and before she left the two shared a kiss and promices of more for the two of them hung in the air as she left Torginiath for Tolhnen. Exodus of TorginiathThe men that Arwin had sent to accompany Alisse to Tolhnen returned and told him that she had been executed alongside hundreds of other innocents by the order of Alberich Grefford, as well as telling him that Alberich was on his way to Torginiath. Realizing what Alberich would do if he came to Torginiath he would take his ship and meet with Admiral Ka-Nethion Authion and would faciliate the exodus of hundreds of high ranking nobles out of Minas Torginiath by boat, and when Alberich arrived this exodus was almost complete and once again in his desire to continue his ethnic cleansing program it was Alberich who attempted to order a fight with the Gondor navy. This attempt was resisted by Arwin and once again Alberich prepared to fight a fellow Lucernian force, and this time there was no high ranking Lucernian commander to stop him and thus started the Skirmish At Torginiath. During the brief skirmish between the forces loyal to Arwin and those loylal to Alberich hundreds were killed but when the population of Torginiath came to the streets in support of Arwin it was Alberich that forced to flee the city leaving Arwin firmly in control of Torginiath. Invasion of AdrahilWith the Lannisters fully preparing to invade and once that war being declared it was the Starke's no matter what they wanted, and they massed all their vassals into the area now known as Arathor and prepared to attack into Central Rhunian and upwards, while the Lannisters already had mobilized were preparing to attack southern Rhunian, and upwards from there. It was this point that James Lovie would send forces from his own Circle of Magi of whom led by Kieth Schwartz, and accompanied by men from House Lerman under the command of Faedra Lerman, and Logan Lerman and these forces were sent to watch over the leadership of House Starke of whom James Lovie had no trust in. The strategy of House Starke though was for their forces to thrust against the large town of Adrahil, while there forces then moved against the villages north of Adrahil in an attempt to draw the Gondor soldiers into pitched battles that worked against them. They would be led by Eddard Starke, and Brandon Starke of which the two brothers would lead the siege of Adrahil. Gondorian Counter Attack
Following this the conflict escalated very quickly when despite the conflicts on the eastern half of their Kingdom the forces of Gondor moved significant forces to the western half against the forces of Stormwind. During this escalation the forces of House Lannister, and House Starke moved increasingly to the front, with both sides employing different strategies. House Lannister and its forces continued to move against the area around the large Gondor town of Langstrand which they had surrounded with forces, and moved a smaller force of more elite irregular troops led by many of their more elite forces to harass the lands south of Adrahil where the main thrust of House Starke was moving against. This strategy worked with both the forces assisted by a small detatchment sent from House Ordos. House Ordos sent an elite force of siege experts that assisted with both the siege of Langstrand, and Adrahil with both logistics and leadership for goals of the sieges. On the other side of the conflict was the defenders of Gondor of whom were led by Eldarion Elessar, his brother Ildarion, and their uncle Halbaard Elessar. The conflict in the east was dire, and thus Gondor was forced to rely on the two princes, and the forces they brought were relatively weak auxiliary forces from south western Gondor, and not the more battle hardened eastern troops. The forces of Gondor were obviously relying mainly on defenders made up of the forces of the two major towns Adrahil, and Langstrand and because of this they were in a lot of trouble when it came to the massive forces being brought to bear by Castamere, Winterfell, Mander, and Hillsbrad. The northern town of Adrahil was led by the two sons of the King, while Lanstrand was held by Halbaard Elessar making for serious leadership in the two towns. Hiding
It would be at this time that Liana Beyne would be nearly completely in love with Philip Prester by the time the two were fourteen and it was this love that led Philip to take drastic actions when his father sent him word about the invasion of Rhuthian. The word came in the form of several pages, and a man at arm in the form of Tristen of Feastfires of whom would take Philip aside and tell him he needed to come with them as the attack on Rhuthian was weeks away. Learning this he would in the dead of night sneak away from the sleeping Tristen of Feastfires and go to Liana's father Menagil Beyne of whom would assemble his family after hearing what Philip had to say, and would put complete faith in the young Philip Prester when he handed him over his two daughters for protection, and with only supplies and horses he sent them away from Castle Beyne for the west. Tristen of Feastfires would awaken and realizing quickly what had happened left the castle with little resistance from House Beyne of whom was happy to have him and his two squires gone. Philip would reach the Gondorian port town of Leghland where they found passage to Lucerne where shortly after arriving on shore they found a large encampment of Lucernian forces carrying the banner of House Starke. Going into the camp of House Starke Philip Prester would present himself to the Starke leadership of whom listened to him as he was the heir to a powerful house, and they would do the honorable thing when they sent him northward with Liana and Vellia to Winterfell. As the conflict neared its beginning his presence in Winterfell would become known when Tristen of Feastfires finally found his trail after weeks of looking, and would lie saying Tywin Lannister himself had summoned Philip, and with this command in place Philip would tearfully say goodbye for a time to Liana Beyne while traveling with Tristen to the forces of House Prester. Chasing the PrinceWhen he was given word that Ildarion Elessar had fled Adrahil and was moving south he sent his most trusted commander in his son Jaime Lannister north to chase him down with most of the heavy cavalry and the entire force of House Reyne that had come with House Lannister. Jaime Lannister would move quickly north, but was very careful to move his large force out of sight of any force that they saw and through this strategy he moved undetected through Gondor and begin stalking Ildarion Elessar and his force so that he could capture the prince before the Starke's got him. Jaime got close to Ildarion Elessar twice but both times Ildarion was able to meneaver himself away from the forces of Jaime Lannister, and escape. Either way the forces of Ildarion were basically reduced to running around for nearly a month as they were chased by Jaime Lannister and this left them unable to take part in any actual fighting.
While Jaime was searching for Ildarion Elessar his brother in Tyrion Lannister moved throughout the region between around Langstrand with a largely weakly equipped ground force and begin capturing the various castles, and forts that dotted this region. These forts, and castles were far weaker then they had ever been because the west was seen by Gondor as the area that they least needed to be worried about. Despite this though Tyrion had to deal with each of these defences of which the largest was the fort of Amon Hen of which was defended by six hundred men of Gondor and was perched on a cliff overlooking the valley around it. Tyrion would use great skill in traversing the valley around the fort which allowed him to sneak his forces to the depths surrounding the fort. The forces of Gondor in many places fought to the last man, but were clearly given some orders for larger garrisons to surrender and save their lives. In Amon Hen the defenders lost some three hundred troops in the suprise attack, but still held on for hours before they surrendered and were sent westward as prisoners. With Tyrion sacking castle after castle he finally had managed to block the eastern river approach into Langstrand thus closing the city off from supplies by the water, and thus making starving them out once more an option. The Chase Expands
Theon Greyjoy joined Robb Starke in a raiding party that was basically meant to harass, and capture large tracts of land in the hopes of getting the Gondorians to leave their fortifications and walk into traps north of Adrahil. While they did this Jon Snow led a smaller group of heavy cavalry against the villages of this area, and he slowly but surely became a sort of vangaurd for the larger cavalry force of Theon, and Robb. At this point with fighting breaking out all over the region the main army of Eddard Starke supported by House Baratheon and some logistics sent by House Ordos moved against the town of Adrahil and put the town completely under siege. Before they could get the entire town under siege though one of the brothers in Ildarion left the city from the west with a large force of heavy, and light cavalry and made his way south to defend Langstrad where the the city was more capable of falling quickly. With Adrahil under siege and the objective of starving the town out until it surrendered Eddard gave the command to begin the heavy harrasment in the north. House Mormont and the Bear Island troops would capture nearly all the mines, and livestock of the area and bring it westward, while the other Bear Island troops ransacked northern Rhunian and took the spoils into Lucerne. While this was happening the forces of House Tarly of whom commanded a large force would move eastward towards Lamedon, where they would arrive and thus block off the ability of Gondor to send any kind of supplies or reinforcements into the area. Randyll Tarly would hold two castles west of Lamedon, and despite attempts by the Lamedon troops to dislodge him, he was a master tactision and was unable to be removed.
Theon and Robb would command together a force of cavalary of which they used brilliantly and after raiding the village of Meadow's Grove they noticed a rather large group of Gondor soilders marching eastward and they immediatly begin following the group. After a full day of marching the Gondor forces set up camp inside a forest and they believed they had the night to rest before marching again. This was a large mistake, and the forces of Theon and Robb moved quickly to surround the camp. While they surrounded the camp the forces of Jon Snow moved against the only real chance of the Gondor force to be saved when they moved against a cavalry force led by one of the local commanders. In the coming Raid on Groilline Jon Snow would discover that Ildarion was with that camped force, and would send word to Robb about this, while Jamie Lannister was not told or made aware of any changes. Raid on Groiline
During the days of the war with Gondor, Jon Snow was tasked with a small unit of troops that he was tasked with raiding the northern farmlands in order to draw out the outstretched Gondor forces into the trap of the army of House Lannister, and House Starke. In Jon's role he would become aware of how outstretched the Gondor forces were when he chased a force of Gondor cavalry through the night and as he passed by the village of Groiline his scouts reported no defenders. His scouts informed him that the cavalry had no intention of stopping as they were moving eastwards towards Prince Ildarion of whom was being shadowed by both Robb Starke, and Jaime Lannister. Seeing this as an oppurtunity he would stop chasing the cavalry and would instead move his force to Groiline and capture the village, thus unknown to Ildarion Elessar and his forces the road west was free for them to go back through, but without knowing that they made camp that nigh with no knowledge they were trapped on all sides except one.
Ambush at Meadow's Grove
Robb immediatly engaged him in combat and on his own velition was able to defeat him only because he could tell that Ildarion was half dead from fatigue, and being unequipped with armor, or a shield. When Ildarion fell defeated the rest of the Gondor force was swiftly throwing down their weapons and surrendering leaving the full Starke force with a nearly complete victory. With Ildarion defeated Robb was egged on by Theon to kill him, and for a moment Robb contimplated listening to his friend but he then thought strategically and realized that if they had the prince they could basically ransom whatever they wanted from the Gondorians. With this in mind Robb decided instead of killing him he would instead take him in as a prisoner, and ordered the force to pull back to their original position with their now sixty prisoners along with the prince of Gondor. Prisoner
Robb Starke would pull his force back behind the lines, and there would set up a camp for all the prisoners they had captured and then sent word to his father about the capture of Ildarion, which would then spread like wildfire. When Eddard heard of this news he sent word to Eldarion in Adrahil of whom then sent word to Aragorn of this change in events. Aragorn had two options in front of him. The first option was to engage the Lucernians in a full pitched battle which he might lose, and if he didn't lose he would most likely lose on the east because of all the causualites. Or he surrendered most of the Gondor lands west of the River Rhine. In the end he would send word to Eldarion that their forces were going to surrender under the terms that all Gondor citizens, and forces be allowed free pass into Gondor, along with the return of Ildarion, and all prisoners. Bill Lovie would send word to Eddard that he was incoming to the camp that Eddard and Tywin Lannister were meeting, but when the letter came the servent that brought it told them that Bill planned to execute Ildarion on the spot.
Both commanders understood that if they did this it would mean all out war which was stupid since they could have all of this land with no bloodshed. Because of this they hid the note, and told the scout that the prisoners were already in transfer back to Gondor. With this information Bill Lovie would return to Lucerne instead of seeing the two Lords, and they both knew they had made an enemy that day. When this happened Ildarion was given word by Robb Starke that he was to be released along with all of his men. The two would discuss the coming world that they both lived in, and Robb Starke would gain a lot of respect for Ildarion, and the same would be true of Ildarion for Robb Starke. |
Tolian Village Skirmish
- “How these moronic Orcs had been able to infiltrate a land that was built to keep them out was the scariest thought I had in many years.”
- — Ildarion Elessar
The Battle of Tours Lake was a small skirmish that started out of the larger Minas Ithil conflict with Mordor, and begin after a force of Mordor Warg Riders would infiltrate the border crossing near Minus Ithil and raze the village of Tolion a days march from Minus Ithil. Ildarion Elessar would lead a troop of Knights from Osgiliath towards the area where they planned to meet with another cavalry force being sent from Narvine. When Ildarion arrived in the village they found it massacred with no survivors, and thus they mounted again and prepared to mount and find the remainder of the warg riders. They didn't have to look far as they saw the wargs were at the bottom of the hill and they could also see smoke coming from valley beneath the village. Looking closer at the dead bodies they noticed that many had been dead for weeks and it was then that one of the scouts returned and said that there was a very large camp at the bottom of the valley. Ildarion ordered his knights down the valley and would smash into the unsuspecting Warg Riders of whom put up little fight against the more skilled and equipped Knights of Gondor. Chasing the fleeing wargs they would come over the top of a hill and see what was clearly hundreds upon hundreds of Orcs that were prepared for battle. Quickly realizing that he had no chance of victory agains the well prepared Orc force he pulled his forces back to Tolian where they awaited the large force from Narvine. They watched as the Orcs stopped chasing them and from the top of the hill they could see to the bottom of the valley and they watched as the Orc force would break camp and move to the north east and where they believed it was retreating out of Gondor through the pass, but it was actually going to join a larger force from Mordor and was going to besiege Minas Ithil.
White Tree
Following this in an attempt to become clearer in his own moral compass he became the wise man of the white tree, a position of great importance as it is the commander of the White Tree Gaurd.

Going East
The Road
- "There was a sence that everything was going to better after we freed Minus Ithil, but the years following were nothing but. We fortified and we dug in, but the Orcs were still there. We hadn`t done anything to truly damage them, all we had done was push them back."
- -Ildarion Elessar
It would be Sarah that would notice Ildarion far before he would notice her. As she left the encampment and headed back to Ethring she noticed a large group of Gondor soilders heading on the road and she approached the group. As she got closer she noticed that they were no regular troops as they were heavily equipped. As she was spotted several of them quickly got ahold of her and asked her what she was doing out this late, as it was well past midnight. As she was questioned she was placed into shackles as the gaurds were worried that she might be an assasin sent to kill the young prince. Instead of anwsering them back she questioned them back the same thing, and just as she was about to be put into a cage Ildarion got off his horse and approached her.

- "Sometimes you should judge someone based on the first reaction you have. I didn`t trust her the first time I saw her, and looking back I see now the only reason I ever did was because I came to love her."
- -Ildarion Elessar
As he approached her he noticed immediatly even in the darkness her alarming beauty but he also noticed that underneath her innocent eyes was a sort of mysteriousness that he usually was able to easily read as a trickster kind of person. His gaurds held her still and for some reason he didn't feel afraid of what she might do to him. He told Narmin Gent that he would watch the prisoner for awhile so that he could get some sleep, and when Narmin declined Ildarion made it a command, and thus Narmin and the three other gaurds left the prince with Sarah Mason of whome walked to the side of the road and sat against a tree. The two talked for a time before he removed her shackles and allowed her to be free of the constraints. She flirted with him openly as she had no idea who he was, and this caused him to laugh at her. When she became confused why he was laughing he responded by telling her that he was the crown prince of Gondor Ildarion Elessar, and this caused her to immediatly go from being herself for a moment to back to the loyal spy she was playing at being. As she begin to close herself off emotionally he became confused by her and despite his obvious attraction to her he told her to go home, and she relunctantly did so with neither of them having any idea that they would be meeting again sooner then either of them believed.
Arriving in Ethring

- "You heard small talk amongst the generals that the south was saved only thanks to the unending fortifications of Ethring. I don`t know what castle they saw when they came south, but Ethring was ready to fall when I arrived. It would take months of hard work and a lot of resources just to get the castle and surrounding area ready for any kind of conflict."
- -Ildarion Elessar
When Ildarion Elessar arrived in the town of Ethring alongside his small force of two hundred men, along with a dozen retainers he was shocked at the state of the town. The defences were in a terrible state, and the situation of the moral of the city appeared briefly on his walkthrough to be one where the population was teetering on the edge of mutiny. Seeing this angered the young prince and so he prepared to meet with the leadership of the town which at the time was held by council. When he called the council to meet with him he was shocked that at the one corner of the table was a small girl somewhere around his physical age. As the meeting commensed and he was filled in on the constant raids that rocked the town he couldn't help but be completely enthraled in the beautiful young women that was so vocal in her opinions throughout the meeting. As they all begin to exit the meeting the Lord of House Haines approached Ildarion and told him that he had some things that he should know before he was willing to stay in the town.

- "People wandered about unsure of what to say to the prince. Did they tell him the rumors? Did they tell him that everything was falling apart, or did they just wait and hope someone else did before they had to. I couldn`t stand the silence anymore so I did what had to be done."
- -Connington Haines
As Ildarion entered the Keep of Ethring he prepared to discuss things with Connington Haines of House Haines. When Connington arrived he had the man kept in the most enjoyable of positions. When they got to talking Connington told Ildarion that the town was in fact not controlled by the council since House Mason controlled the council and thus they controlled what went on. When Ildarion asked why only the girl of House Mason was in the meeting then Connington told him that she was sent as a sign of respect because she was something of a social pariah inside the town. When asked why this was Ildarion was told that rumors have said that she was silently a supporter of Umber, and that during her youth she lived in Umbar for a time and during this time she became loyal to that Kingdom, and since then has been silently working for the Kingdom of Umbar, and that during this time she is responsible for the steady decline in the situation of Ethring. Hearing all of this made the need to discuss things with this girl that intrigued him all the more important, and when he realized this Ildarion bid Connington to leave him and thanked him for assisting the honest role of goverment.
Sarah Mason
- "He was just sad to his very core. While you could tell he did his utmost to push it away those that knew him well must have seen the sadness that I saw. I knew I loved him. I knew he would eventually have to die. I knew both those things from the very beggining."
- -Sarah Mason
When Ildarion Elessar came to become more and more confortable in Ethring he came to live more and more at his friend Sarah Mason's estate then the actual fortress itself. The mason girl as she was called by those around the town was something of a mystery and it was whispered that she was a traitor, and these whispers while well heard were not popular due to the powerful position that her supportive House Mason stood in. Sarah for whatever he secrets was someone that Ildarion truly cared about, and other then his family it had been since the days of Dianna Agron that he had truly cared about another women in that way. This care made him nervous as he was told by his commanders and aids that she was known as a traitor. So while growing to have a lot of affection for Sarah he also spent a large amount of time testing her loyalty and the measures that she was willing to take in order to remain a loyal citizen. Sarah was aware of these tests each time he placed one on her, and after succesfully passing the many tests he did she finally confronted Ildarion on the reason why he had so little faith in her.
Broken Borders

Broken Borders I came here wanting to defend the land I had fled my home for. Seeing it burning when I arrived was the last sight I expected, but in the end my father also told me you have to fight for what you believe in. Even if my father has lost his way I have to constantly remember the person I want to be. | ||||||

Only three weeks after returning from Umbar though she found herself with Var Azunion on a mission across the Gondor border, and they would be led directly into a trap they didn't know was coming after Tur-Ildarion Elessar grew suspicious of the quiet of the border and had several Great Eagles called from the capital. Ildarion Elessar had become aware through many different sources that either Sarah Mason, or someone else in the leadership of Ethring was betraying the Gondorians to the enemy in Umbar, but he was unwilling to accept that it was Sarah Mason after they had their confrontation and he discovered that she was pregnant. So with the great eagles he had them watching the border east of Ethring, and that would be the spot that Larra Toran would be making a crossing with her husband and his force, of whom were crossing the border in order to join the growing Umbar force on the Gondor side of the border. At this point Ildarion's closest commanders in Berethor Isilrim, and Belernil Nimothan would come to him once more advising him that despite her pregnancy they needed to watch Sarah Mason as all the intelligence they were gathering from the nobles of Ethring was telling them the traitor was Sarah Mason, and for the first time Ildarion would tell them he would talk to her briefly and if he got the slightest sense of something he would order her watched. The Eagles after spotting the Umbar force would return to Ethring where Ildarion would quickly mass a force alongside recent arrivals in the form of a force of three thousand men from Tir Ethrod under the command of the twin brothers Galamir Browning II., and Talvirion Browning, and and moved with full speed to get in front of the Umbar force. With the great eagles able to watch them the entire time Ildarion was able to set up a perfect ambush spot in the middle of a clearing. When they arrived at the sight Ildarion was preparing his forces and didn't realize that Sarah Mason who at this point he believed in implicitly due to her pregnancy was secretly crafting a letter which she would send through one of her loyalists to the forces of Var-Azunion Lodius.
When they arrived at the sight Ildarion was preparing his forces and didn't realize that Sarah Mason who at this point he believed in implicitly due to her pregnancy was secretly crafting a letter which she would send through one of her loyalists to the forces of Var Azunion. So trusting in her was he at this point that he invited her into the strategic meetings they had that night, and she would even add pieces of this into a second letter that she crafted for the Umbar troops incoming. That night as she waited and hoped that Var Azunion would get the letter she went to bed with Ildarion, and as he held her and rubbed her still flat belly she begin to cry. She tried to stop crying but she couldn't as for perhaps the first time she realized the true costs of what she was doing. Through her crying Ildarion held her close and whispered loving words to her, and despite how comforted and safe she felt the fact that this man that she loved so much was the target of so much of her deception left her feeling more broken and sad then she had felt in a long time. While this was happening her first messenger would fail to find the force of Var Azunion after he camped his forces in a position that was so tactically foolish that the messenger had bypassed the area in his search for them. The second messenger would find Var's forces but was shot by a sentry and his body quickly buried in the ground without the sentries reading anything he had on him. So despite Sarah Mason attempting to sabotage the ambush by getting word to Var Azunion the Umbar force continued to walk right into it.
The next day Var Azunion would move the Umbar force northward, and as they walked through the ambush clearing Larra Toran felt a terrible chill up her spine and warned her husband that they should travel along the side of the ravine, and in return Var would slap her in the face and verbally attack her as she laid on the ground. As she got up from the slap he was still staring at her as an arrow struck him directly in the heart killing him basically instantly. She would be the only survivor of the ambush and she survived only after an arrow struck her in the head but deflected off her helmet and knocked her unconscious. With the force destroyed the Gondor force would move in with Ildarion taking the lead flanked by his friends of whom was devastated that the force had been destroyed despite the fact that she had tried desperately to alert them to the danger. As they searched the troops it would be Thomas Mason that would discover the still alive body of Larra Toran and as Ildarion walked to her he knelt in front of her as she opened her eyes, and he felt something inside him feel for this girl, and thus he ordered her taken prisoner and brought back to Ethring. As she woke briefly back and forth she would watch him moving, and she was captivated by the beauty this man appeared with, and despite the pain in her head she felt safe for the first time in a long time as she was pulled along by the carriage of her supposed enemy.
It was as she was moved to the carriage that the site of the massacre was come across by the one remaining scout in Varizh Endrasti sent by Sarah Mason of whom seeing this would make his way by horse back to Ethring in order to warn Sarah that their attempt had failed. When he arrived in Ethring Sarah Mason would watch Varizh enter from her room in the Keep and immediately knew what had happened, and meeting him on the bottom floor the two would discuss what their next move was, and having him following her into the dungeons she took him into a room she had orchestrated to make it look like Varizh was the spy for Umbar and then she would stab him through the neck leavin him to bleed out on the ground, and then she shut the door behind her before crying over who she was becoming. She would go upstairs to find her father and Lord Gur-Teniun Oellenzi of whom she begged to follow her, and they would with several men at arms following her into the dungeons where they found the now dead Varizh Endrasti and the staged scene painting him as the traitor for Umbar. Chained Friends, and Trusted Enemies
Taking her alongside the other survivors of the ambush back to Ethring it would be Ildarion that stayed awake beside her for the hours she was passed out. Arriving back in Ethring hours later they would put her in a cell where she would remain asleep recovering from the concussion of the arrow hitting her helmet, but while she was asleep Ildarion slept on a chair outside the cell waiting for this mysterious girl to awaken. As he slept Sarah Mason came down looking to see this prisoner, as she had been told about her arrival since many of the nobles now had no doubts about her following the killing of Varizh. Coming down and seeing Ildarion asleep she was going to wake him up when she saw the face of the girl and knew it to be her old friend Larra Toran. Now that Sarah Mason had become painfully aware that Larra Toran was her old friend from Umbar, she feared being revealed early and thus having to kill Ildarion before she was emotionally ready. Waiting patiently for her to awaken she was forced to leave when her father commanded her to leave to tell some of the more skeptical nobles of her innocence and it was when this happened that Ildarion still asleep outside of the cell of Larra would be noticed by Larra of whom finally woke up. Getting herself up and moving towards him she was unable to completely reach him and so instead rested on her knees before him awaiting the promised prince to awake. Awakening he jumped back startled by having fallen asleep and giving his enemy the jump on him, but she would calm him with her kind voice. Discovering she had awoken gaurds arrived alongside Sarah Mason and he would command them away as he wanted more time with the prisoner despite the fact that he should have allowed in gaurds who knew of getting information but he didn't want to part from Larra.
Having his alone time with her again she told him of her youth and was completely honest with him about everything except for the involvement of Sarah Mason of whom she wasn't sure what to say of yet. Revealing the size and plans of the Umbar forces in Gondor she gained a lot of clout with Ildarion as he trusted her despite who she was. As they continued to speak and their conversation became increasingly flirtatious it would be Sarah Mason that interupted it with a direct and forceful desire to speak with Larra alone. Larra would be able to convinse Ildarion to depart for a time so he could rest and return, and this further increased the anger of Sarah towards Larra as she was never able to persuade him that easily. With the room cleared she attempted to understand what the next move of the Umbar army was now that the vangaurd had been destroyed, and when Larra declared that she had made the ambush took place, and had worked tirelessly to reach this moment where she could join Gondor the two two old friends quickly became severe rivals. Realizing she had unwittingly revealed herself to Larra she would rush from the cell to the shock of Larra and place two gaurds on the door who were commanded to let noone enter or speak to Larra.
Confronting Sarah
Arriving at Sarah's room he stayed by the door for many moments as he feared how this conversation would go. What was happening to him that he believed this Umbar girl immediately and was now questioning the women that he loved? What had changed so quickly that Sarah had cast that kind of doubt about herself. He thought on the fact that everything he knew of her from the beginning, and all the things people said about her had led him to this moment and the lack of faith he had in her. Opening the door he found her praying in the corner by her cross, and he couldn' t help but bask in the soft kindness she just permeated out when she was praying, and only wished that kindness was seen by all and not just him when they were alone. Sarah would get up from praying and walked towards him kissing him on the cheek before fakely asking what he was there for so late, despite the fact that she knew exactly what he was there for. WIthout a word of anything else he would confront her on what Larra said, and inside she was dying as she knew now without question that he had to die as he had clearly formed enough trust in Larra that in no time at all any excuses that she gave to him would be found as lies. Realizing this killed her as she loved him beyond words, but in this moment she just couldn't escape the dream she had for Umbar, and Gondor back together again and she pushed her love for him down. Lying to him over and over again about all the accusations that had built up about her over the time he had been Ethring she believed that he had bought his story, and as he left he gave her a deep kiss that soon became more heated, and the two would make love for what Ildarion couldn't have known was the last time.
