The Yairns is a large region in the most eastern section of the Valley of Lucerne where it lies along the Rhine River. The Yairns is dominated by The Six of which is a collection of the six most powerful mercenary bands that dominate the ports and towns of the Yairns, and the grouping is truly on gathered when they are threatened which has only happened twice.
The Yairns is made up of islands in the hundreds stretching throughout and the original cause of this was the Yairns was the location of one of the Temples of the Numenorian Empire an thus the landscape was devestated during the events of the Downfall of Numeron.
The Yairns is populated by Ostrogoths of whom settled into the region during the exodus from the east, and this is one of the few remaining places where the Ostrogoths are dominent in terms of population. Alongside the Yairns stands a minority population of Vandals of whom filtered into the region during the Great Migration and have always been marginilized in the region.
